Never on schedule and always longer than usual. It shouldn't take more than an hour for a haircut especially with someone with short hair. Talking is fine but if you can't multi task then you shouldn't be talking. We book an appointment for a reason to go with our schedule. It's not ok to have your next client wait for his turn after you guys ask them to come in earlier than the appointment time. An hour and a half is crazy. You ever see that episode of Atlanta (S2.E5) where Paper Boi runs around the entire day trying to get a cut from his barber before his big event? Well that's how I feel about getting my haircut from Eric (minus the crazy stuff that happened on the show). If I have an event to go to or just need to look right again I can't go to anywhere else. I first started getting cuts from Eric back in 2018 when I was trying to change my hairstyle. I must have gone to 3-4 other barbers before him and none of them got it right. Well first time I went was great with Kay but I had to get a last minute hair cut before a trip and just Aron was available and he hacked my hair. I asked him to shorten and he literally shave my head half way down . Now I have to go on a trip with half of my head shaved off. I don't know what he was thinking. I cannot believe I haven't written a review until now! This is THE BEST Barbershop on Alameda and I have tried a few. Eric, KJ, & Juan are all very talented and each have their own cult following. I have gone to Eric for years because he does a fade like no other. He is really good at working with for what you are looking for but I would recommend booking an hour so you can let the true artist go to work. This is the place I always get a haircut now. I'm telling you the most chill place to get a perfect fresh cut. The barbers are always welcoming and friendly to each individual. Make an appointment online if you want a spot. Tip- schedule an appointment at least a week ahead before the event you are trying to look good for. Pay: usually $25 but it's always nice to tip. I walked in on a Saturday afternoon. No appointment. I found out later it's good to schedule an appt if you can. I'll definitely do that next time. George was able to fit me in between appointments (he even moved his lunch break to accommodate me at the last minute). I had fallen behind on my manscaping and needed a good chest taper before I went to Las Vegas and bared all at the pool parties. Anyway, Juan had no problem draping the barber cape around my waist and going to town on my hairy shoulders. The man is the consummate artist in what he does. He glided over everything with a size 3 blade to stop most of the curling and then trimmed down everything with the smoothest detail trimmer. He was a blur of retro BAPE x DMND as he deftly trimmed my body. I basically looked like a good Drake haircut, but it was my body and not my/Drake's head. He gave me some great tips as well and put the smoothest pomade that I've ever had before to keep my stomach hair/happy trail down but in the least awkward way one could have man-to-man contact. Before, I always thought I could only style my body hair as a man-cub or deal with a solid waxing that would make me feel kinda girly. Reason I love this shop so much is because of the location it's literally 1 minute from my house. Before I went to Shortcutz in hayward which I highly recommend if your in the San Leandro / hayward area to go check out Jeff & Ant but I commuted from alameda to hayward probably once a week and it was cool but once I heard there was a barbershop finally opening in my city I was jumping for joy because I would save a lot of money on gas and plus it's not far from home. So this is the 2nd time ever that I have paid to get my hair cut in my adult life. The first cut I paid for which was 3 months ago ( yea 3 months ago ) if you didn't get it, that means I didn't go back for a reason.
