Wow....Wow....Wow..... I have a brand new living room. I called Juan to inquire about reupholtering my sectional. He asked me to stop by his shop to pick out a color and material, and Juan quoted me the best price. I gave him a deposit last week (August 10). Juan's employees picked up my couch on Monday, August 15, 2022, and today he called me to ask me if I'd be home so he can deliver my couches. Wait..... What???? My couches are reupholsterd and done in 3 days? What could be wrong with them? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! The work is impecabble. I love my "new" couches! I just gave him a chair to reupholster. This sure as heck beats buying overprised couches from the store that just may not fit my livingroom. I highly recommend Juan Upholstery to anyone. read more

Do not do business with this person. I contacted him and asked if he repairs leather sofa and chair. He said yes. I wanted to replace the old foam cushions with new foam cushions and repair a small tear on the sofa. He asked me to text him photos which I did and never heard back from him. Waited over a week more like two weeks and called him. He said he would look at the photos and call me back. Never did. I sent him a text and asked him if he did not want to do the job please let me know. So happy this guy is a multi millionaire!!! He does not need the work. Once again do not go here. read more

I have a "hope chest" storage bench that the leather/pleather was peeling off bad. I had an idea, found the cloth online and brought it all to Juan and they didn't an amazing job. Took 2 weeks and he was 1/3 the price of Parker's upholstery in Torrance. Parker's wanted $450-$500 to do this work. I'm soooo thankful i brought it to Juan. Just got our chair back from Juan himself and he did an excellent job. He put extra effort into our custom chair but still stuck with his original quote. $200 to recover a faux leather chair with durable micro fiber. He had a lot of patterns to choose from and was very helpful. He agreed the work would be done in about 2 weeks over Christmas holiday however took him about 4 weeks due to the custom job. Very good workmanship and very reasonable price. I'll be back again to fix other chairs and couches. read more

I have used Juan's Upholstery twice in the past 2 months. Juan and his team do a fantastic job, and really take pride in what they do. Both projects they worked on for me ( both were furniture re-upholstery) exceeded my expectations. I have attached a few pictures of their work for me. The price was reasonable, and the projects were completed within the timeframe that they promised. Moreover, Juan even delivered the completed sofa to my home. Juan's did a good job on a chair and rocker. They took a little longer than initially quoted and weren't proactive about reaching out for delays. Though they were friendly and helpful when I would call to check status. Overall decent price, good end result a little longer wait time than quoted and not terribly responsive. Would I use them again, sure I would as their workmanship and materials used are solid. read more

I took my Volkswagen seat to have foam padding installed along with a NEW cover that I had purchased. I explained to Juan exactly what I wanted done, and brought the other seat for them to match. When I picked up the seat, Juan had stuffed too much foam padding to the point the seats appeared to be two totally different. They also tore the NEW cover in the process. I spoke to Juan and let him know I was unhappy and that the cover had been torn. He claimed that the cover was torn when I brought it in. I explained if that was the case, why would he not call me immediately and notify me. This would not only protect his liability, but also give him the opportunity to repair or replace the cover and generate more revenue. Juan did not offer any sort of resolution. Juan's upholstery is awesome! If you were thinking about it, do it! Juan has done quite a bit of work for my stuff ranging from custom car seat upholstery to custom couches, chairs etc. The craftsmanship is excellent. The custom car seats he worked on were for a older VW bug. He was able to modify the seat frame to remove the headrest and make it look factory. What I did not expect was for the seats to be so comfortable. I don't know what he did to them but I even got compliments from passengers and other VW enthusiasts for the look and comfort of those seats. I must admit those seats were really comfortable which especially good for daily driving. The couches were upholstered from bare wood frame to our liking. Again, not sure what he did to them but these are the most comfortable couches that we have had ever. My nephew actually comes over to take naps on the couch because they are that comfortable. He even re-upholstered our dining chairs to match the color of the couches! Without a doubt, Juan's upholstery is where my wife and I will continue to go to for anything needing upholstery. Juan is a great guy, a straight shooter and keeps in contact with you. As mentioned before, if you were thinking about this place, DO IT!!! read more

He included a generous discount on the fabric when I chose a fabric that he already had in stock. He completed the chairs very quickly, and the workmanship was excellent.
