Overall, a great meal. The lamb shanks were very flavorful and tender. The goat not as good, but still tasty. 100% authentic

Great price and huge portions! Lots of yummy options! The lamb shank was excellent! Super yummy! The guy who took our order was very helpful and gave good recommendations on popular items to try! We took it to go because we wanted to eat outside while the weather is still beautiful, but would go back and eat dine in.

Fast serive, huge portions, and extremely tasty. I would recommend their spiced tea and their salmon!

I have dined in at this restaurant and ordered via Uber eats about four times now and each time the food was been delicious. I have tried the sports platter with beef and chicken, chicken steak, goat and rice, lamb shank, and goat soup. Everything has tasted so good. I recommend the chicken steak as it was moist and very flavorful as well as the rice. The goat meat is also my next favorite. It was my first time trying goat and I was very impressed. It wasn't gamy at all and also tender. All the food was has been very delicious. I haven't not liked anything here yet. Also, the samosa here is probably my favorite now. I've never had such a delicious samosa before. I would order one as an appetizer if I were you. The service was helpful. There is a bit of a language barrier so it would be wise to be patient. They have treated me very nicely and my experience have been pleasant. The atmosphere is quiet as they don't play music inside. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant as it was fantastic. If you've never tried eastern African food before I implore you to try it here.

    Their Injera with Lamb Shank

If you like to try authentic East African food, this is the place to check out. It's authentic because all the East Africans go there. When my husband and I went, we tried their Injera with Lamb shank and Kati Kati and it was sooo good. Their portions are big but we still got two different dishes. We should've just shared one dish and it was enough. We ended up taking the Kati Kati home. I also ordered their spiced tea but it was too sweet for my taste. I had to add water to dilute the sweetness. Overall it was a good experience! They're also open early so if you need to eat breakfast before picking someone up from the airport, this place is close by!

Chicken Suqaar, Lamb Shank Only - IG @bougiefoodieboi

This restaurant is located amongst many other African restaurants, which I see myself checking them out in the future. The menu here focused more on the Somalian and Ethiopian cuisine, and the food we got is more Somalian. We tried the chicken suqaar with basmati rice and lamb shank only, which is a hearty portion for 2 people. It was a good call because the rice variation of lamb shank was $5 more, and the rice from the chicken suqaar is already a lot so we just split that portion. The chicken suqaar is very flavorful with the Somalian spices, and adding the lemon wedge makes the flavors pop out more. The rice is also super fragrant and pairs well with the chicken. The lamb shank is one of the better lamb shanks I tried - not too gamey, with the right meat to fat ratio, and it was very tender. I could be fooled to pay multiples the price at a sit down fancy restaurant if they presented the lamb shank in a more elegant manner. This is to show how good the lamb shank is here. The restaurant is more fast casual as you order and pay at the front, but the food is delivered to you and someone will bus your table when you finish the meal. Food was amazing and the price point is excellent - a bit over $20 per person for a very filling meal. This is one place that I love to go again to try more of their menu, including more unique dishes like goat stomach, etc

Goat Meat with Rice and Mango Lassi

loved my experience eating here! this was my second time trying ethiopian / east african cuisine, but the first was a long time ago so i was excited to dive in to the new flavors and dishes. i got the goat and rice which came with an excellent portion of rice and goat, definitely left feeling full and felt the ratio was decent between the meat to the rice. the goat was incredibly tender, much more than i expected from the various other goat dishes i've had, and i absolutely loved that -- the texture of the meat was excellent and it was really easy to grab right off the bone. the meat was brilliantly seasoned with a natural spiciness to it from what i assume is pili pili (african birds eye chili) if i'm not mistaken -- this contributed to a wonderfully smokey, earthy, and overall complex and rich flavor profile for the goat. the rice was nicely cooked and seasoned and i liked how the individual grain texture complimented the bites of tender meat. an excellent dish overall, though while the portion size was good, i usually shy away from spending $25 on singular dishes -- definitely do think the taste and quality speak for themselves but, not something i personally could regularly order due to the price (unfortunately). however it's well worth it if you're visiting and want to try, the dish is excellent and left me wanting to try more! speaking to the mango lassi, i have a lot of experience with mango lassi as i grew up drinking and making it. this has less of a yogurt-mouth feel and taste and more of a fresh icey mango taste while retaining that characteristic mango-yogurt flavor of the mango lassi. it's tough to describe outside of that it tasted less heavy while maintaining that characteristic flavor profile and i honestly liked it even better than the more yogurt heavy versions of mango lassi! would love to try making mango lassi similar to this one. solid part of the meal, and the $4 i paid for it is par for the course in most places that serve mango lassi so no complaints there. speaking to the restaurants ambiance, the staff is kind and helpful. seating is plentiful, and there's definitely a community that loves and frequents the restaurant and that brings a very inviting and lively feel to the restaurant even in the late hour that i went that i really appreciated. overall a stand-out dining experience and id highly recommend trying this place. :) overall: 9/10 taste: 10/10 (fr it was so good) price: 8/10 (would have liked to see the goat priced closer to $20, personally, but it was excellent and had a good portion size)

This place was so good! Walked in and everyone was so friendly. Was close by to a customer I was visiting. I asked the guy at the counter what he recommended and I picked the chicken and rice dish. Wow it was full of flavor and so delicious. The lamb shank looked so good too! Might have to come back next time I am in town to get that!!!

A message to all foodies, I urge you to put Juba on your bucket list! When I pulled into the parking lot and stepped out of my car from 50ft away I got a pleasant whiff of the strong aromatics being pumped out of Juba. Before even stepping into the restaurant, I knew I found myself a gem. When I did step into the restaurant it quickly became clear to me that Juba was an authentic hotspot. The portions are absolutely massive, the rice is flavorful, and the meats are seasoned and juicy. I got things to go, but there's a huge amount of seating available. Although, be warned it can get pretty packed during the lunch and dinner rush. Come by yourself or with your family/friends and share their big platters.

The food was so amazing. This was my first time having East African food. I fell in love with the injera, it was delightful. It had delicious flavors, and I will be back to order the same thing. All of the staff is so kind and very helpful. Thank you so much for having me Juba!

Walking into this place it felt like I was transported to another country, in a good way. We ordered the family style meal for 2 with goat meat, lamb shank and pasta (they were out of rice) and it could have easily fed all four of us. We also ordered Kati Kati with chicken which was excellent. Finally, we ordered Shaqlan Calool with chapati bread. The people were helpful when they saw we didn't know what we were doing. It was a great experience. Highly recommend.

I hate to do this but Juba has had a fall from grace. Service is nice and I always get my tea right away but I was just shocked to see stir fried veggies instead of Tikil Gomen and pinto beans instead of Miten Shiro. Everything was made fresh and there was some fighting in the kitchen, so I'm assuming stuff wasn't available- what I got was not what was pictured nor what I was expecting from Juba. I was given two large injera and my tea was perfectly made so I'm happy with that. Not sure if I'll drive across town to visit again, which is upsetting.

Unfortunately, our experience was incredibly disappointing. We arrived at 8:00 p.m. and didn't receive our food until after 10:00 p.m. Keep in mind the restaurant closes at 9:00 p.m., so we even watched them lock the doors while we were still waiting. There was only one other table of four people dining, and it appeared they had also been waiting a long time for their food. When we finally realized we needed to get home to relieve our babysitter, we asked our server to pack our meals to go. Instead of apologizing for the two-hour wait, he told us we "should have come earlier." We reminded him that we had arrived two hours before and had no reason to expect such a long delay. He showed no empathy or accountability. We still tried to stay positive, hoping the food would at least live up to the hype. Unfortunately, when we got home, we found the dishes to be overwhelmingly salty. We understand that delays can happen, but poor communication and a complete lack of customer service turned what should have been a special evening into a frustrating experience. We left feeling disappointed and unlikely to return.
