His shop does great work, he is extremely friendly and best of all he is as honest as the day is long. I met Sam after another auto repair shop (Belden's Auto on Prue) told my girlfriend that she had a blown head gasket on her Explorer. They claimed to have done multiple leak down tests with it failing each time when she developed a code after she let it overheat. The car had been missing so I figured it was the worst case scenario and believed them. I talked to quite a few places about repair/engine replacement since the first shop immediately tried selling me an overpriced engine. I tracked down and purchased an engine online. After calling around Sam offered me the best price to put it in and allowed me to drop ship it to his shop. In hindsight...I should have just taken the car to Sam and had him look at it. Needless to say the engine showed and I dropped off the Explorer. Sam called that afternoon and said "the engine in her car is fine...you just have a bad plug wire...I'm more than happy to put this new engine in for you but it would be a waste of money." We both laughed and I sent the engine back. He saved me thousands of dollars and could have easily taken me to the cleaners. Needless to say I won't be going back to the first shop ever again. Since then Sam and his team have taken care of my vehicles. I'm writing this because I took my truck in today for the 100k mile service and an oil change on it, and I remembered I'd never written one. He is my "go to" mechanic and I highly recommend him if you want someone you can trust that will do work at a reasonable price.

Called for an appointment, and Loyd was happy to set me up for an appointment the next day. He was ready when I got there, and the service was done in a jiffy despite the lift on my truck. I've taken my car here for a couple of issues, one was major and pretty straight forward, the second was even more time consuming because it was much less straightforward. The crew here worked with me to source the parts I needed at a price I could afford and stuck with the problems until they were resolved. Service like this does not come cheap however the value of getting it done right the first time with a shop that will back their work after you've paid for it makes it at least reasonable. These guys are direct and perhaps more unfiltered than you may find at other shops. They are also funny and passionate about getting your car back on the road working right. They laid out a few options for me with or without using my insurance, and since I had a low deductible we ran it through the insurance. They were great with communicating with my adjuster and even communicated ahead of time that my return date would be 2 days later than originally anticipated, which I really appreciated. I dealt with Arthur and Belinda and they were both fantastic. I even had them do an oil change while it was there and they washed and vacuumed it before returning it! Timing chain was perfectly fine actually, I popped the motor open, checked everything out and replaced the intake side VVT sprocket which is known to commonly go out on these. Runs absolutely perfect now for the past 15k miles. Fixed it for $300 when these guys would've charged me $6,000 simply due to lazy diagnostics. I'm sure they're fine for suspension work and regular maintenance and it seems my experience was a one off with an otherwise reputable shop, but laziness like this cannot be accepted. Avoid at all costs for motor work.

I recently took my truck to him on 3/14/26 and had my water pump/thermostat replaced due to overheating issues. They also sealed my drain plug on my radiator, which at the time I didn't think was wrong, but now I'm having to replace my whole radiator because there's no circulation. I also had to replace my reservoir for my radiator because they cracked it while improperly burping the coolant system. As soon as I drove off, my vehicle started overheating again and I had to return for them to do it again. Two weeks later, I discover more air pockets in my system. I brought my vehicle to a different shop -- now it's costing me hundreds of dollars more to fix a problem I thought was fixed. Not to mention the 2 times I drive out to his shop just for him to not answer and then be angry at me for being upset at his unprofessionalism. Jeremy and Steve were amazingly professional and I know they tried their best with what Coop allows them to do. Very disappointed in how this was handled because I knew Coop personally. Now I'm out $500 from him not properly fixing my vehicle and having to spent over $300 more to properly repair. DO NOT GO HERE.
