Upon arrival, I learned that the Patchwork Restaurant & Bar is where the happy hour specials, dinner options, and in the morning, breakfast takes place. I enjoyed the food and service during my visit for breakfast before heading back to the airport the next day. The Patchwork Philly has a restaurant, a bar, and a market. The restaurant includes breakfast, brunch, dinner, bar-cocktail, happy hour, and dessert. The happy hour menu is only valid at the bar. Reservations can be made on OpenTable. Breakfast is served until 10:30 AM. They serve omelettes (Denver, Egg White, and Patchwork omelets), sweets (yoghurt parfait, ricotta pancakes, and steelcut oatmeal), savory dishes (Italian-inspired breakfast plate, eggs benedio, croissant sandwich), drinks, sides, and the breakfast buffet with chef's daily selections including coffee and tea. A very filling meal and a great way to start the day of walking and exploring the city!

The food itself was okay, but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone in the area because holy cow the nickel and diming. It's an all-cash restaurant and they do have a big sign saying so on the front of their door. If you don't have cash, there's an ATM at the front that charges a $7 fee. Not 7%. Seven dollars. The next thing you're hit with is that all checks over $50 are automatically charged an 18% service charge. Everything on the menu was an average of $22 and of course, they don't allow split checks. Which means if you're going to breakfast with a friend you're going to hit that $50 pretty immediately. Add to that, the sides that come with your entree are all at a $1-$1.50 up charge with the exception of the breakfast potatoes, which were overcooked and dried out.
