Service was a 10/10 We ordered the Peach Mimosa Carafe- 10/10 "The Cure" Skillet is exactly what it sounds like!! French fries, loaded with mac & cheese, and pot roast, topped with melted cheese. ENOUGH FOR 2 ppl to share!!! I didn't know these items went together, but they did!! And the best part, they tasted good individually as well. Silver Dollar Pancakes- 3/10...might be the worst pancakes I've had. There was no flavor at all, not even buttermilk, and there was something off about the texture I just couldn't put my finger on. Always my go to brunch spot. This is a cash-only restaurant but they do have an ATM inside. It can also be pretty crowded on weekends so you may have to wait a bit depending on your party amount. The shrimp and grits is a solid. The shrimp are jumbo, not like the smaller cocktail shrimps. The amount of grits is also pretty deceptive. The skillet is a bit deep and they fill it up. The grits are also well seasoned and dont have that "gritty" texture that can happen when undercooked The shrimp tacos are a seasonal special and are much bigger than I thought they'd be. A lot of the serving sizes are pretty gracious and this wasnt an exception. My only critic is that it wouldve been nice to get the sweet chili sauce on the side so that i could control the amount per taco. The tortillas were well cooked so the sauce didn't soak through but it was dripping all over my hands and plate with each bite. MY GOOD PERSONAL FRIEND, GREEN EGGS CAFE. Everytime I come here, I have such a great meal, except for the fact that every single time I forget to bring cash. There's an ATM but I just never ever have cash on me. The food is so so good. A nice selection of sweet treats like cinnamon roll bagels to then savory options like eggs benedict and skillets. Their coffee drinks are so weird in the best way like chip ahoy lattes and things of that nature. Their boozy drinks are also just as good and reasonably priced! Came for brunch on the weekend. The line was out the door and down the street when we arrived! We waited for around 15-20 minutes to be seated at a larger table near the windows. We received our food quickly. I ordered the braised short rib benedict with the chips ahoy/cookie monster latte. Came here on a Monday morning after hearing great things about this establishment. I was expecting a line but I actually got seated right away. I'm assuming it was because it was a week day since they have 2 areas that you can sit at and only 1 area was being occupied. Rating: 8/10 I got a Dirty Chai Latte which was excellent! I'm usually an iced type of Person but I forgot to mention that so it came hot. No big deal. Still solid! I'm sure I would have rated it higher if it was iced since the flavor was excellent. Great flavor on the chai and the espresso didn't over power it, it complemented it. Super solid. Rating 10/10 I ended up choosing the kitchen sink as it is one of their specialties here. Let me tell you, this plate is massive! Definitely shareable. Did I share? No lol. It was the perfect balance of hearty and cheesy but oh so delicious! It came with potatoes at the bottom which were so buttery along side some pepper and onions topped with eggs and sausage smothered in cheese and to top it all off, a biscuit and gravy! I got the short rib Benedict and it was okay. Pretty bland, not a lot of flavor. When the server came to take my order they asked if I wanted potatoes or grits, did I want peppers and onions, etc etc. so I said yeah sure. Then the bill comes and there's an up charge for the onions and peppers which was never explained to me beforehand. My friend also got upcharged for something that wasn't explained to her as being an extra cost. We were looking for a sit down breakfast spot close to our hotel that we could eat at before heading to the airport. Green Eggs was all we could find in the area. The food itself was okay, but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone in the area because holy cow the nickel and diming. It's an all-cash restaurant and they do have a big sign saying so on the front of their door. If you don't have cash, there's an ATM at the front that charges a $7 fee. Not 7%. Seven dollars. The next thing you're hit with is that all checks over $50 are automatically charged an 18% service charge. Everything on the menu was an average of $22 and of course, they don't allow split checks. Which means if you're going to breakfast with a friend you're going to hit that $50 pretty immediately. Add to that, the sides that come with your entree are all at a $1-$1.50 up charge with the exception of the breakfast potatoes, which were overcooked and dried out. read more

First of all the reviews for this place are unmatched. Plus, our hotel listed them as number one on the breakfast list. Not sure if it was based on popularity or distance but both won the day. It was literally right down the street within walking distance from our hotel. I definitely read the cash only tip from prior Yelpers and noticed they did not take reservations so was a little concerned about a long wait time. Thankfully, the wait was not an issue. They had an ATM on site and there was no wait when we arrived around 12:30. It was also obvious that people raved about the red velvet pancakes. Those things looked huge, so I knew if I even considered ordering them it would have to be a small size. Thankfully, that was also accomplished. When I shared my concerns about portion control with our waitress said she could give me the kids size. This was perfect! The restaurant was buzzing was people. Super loud. So much so, that when we gave our orders our waiter could hardly hear us. I had the Egg white omelet with mushroom, spinach, home fries with peppers, and wheat toast. My companions had one order of the blueberry and peaches pancakes, and another order of turkey bacon, wheat toast, scrambled eggs and home fries. A friend and I went around 11:15 on a Sunday morning and we were able to get a table in about 15 minutes (shorter than the wait time we were quoted). We LOVE Green Eggs and come here most every time we're downtown. For whatever reason, I've never left a review (my bad). That ends today! After sleeping in following the Eagles Super Bowl victory parade, a good brunch with bloody marys was in order. Green Eggs was right around the corner, so off we trotted. It seems that most of the city was sleeping in because, even at 10:30, we were able to get a table right away (which is unusual!) We sat down and in just a few short minutes, we were armed with menus and piping hot mugs of coffee. My dashing BF ordered the Short Rib Benedict and the regular Tito's Bloody Mary; I got the Fried Chicken Benedict (served on a Belgian waffle with a poached egg and hot sauce hollandaise OMG) and the Spicy Bloody Mary (made with Absolut Peppar). Drinks came first and they were filled to the absolute *brim*. Both were excellent and mine was as spicy as promised. A great start! Then, it was time for the Benedicts. I can't decide which was better, but they were both awesome. BF's short rib was nothing short of delectable. Super rich and delicious. My fried chicken was perfectly fried, crisp and juicy. The eggs were perfectly poached: the yolks just slightly gelatinous but runny on the inside, and that hot sauce hollandaise was off-the-charts good. Oh! Do not sleep on their creamy, cheesy grits. An 18 percent surcharge is added to all checks over $50 dollars and you have no idea if charge is a tip or just another upcharge.
