I was confused because usually it's great. Then i realized they were under new management. The teeth cleaning was not good. To start, she did a new type of scan to my teeth and didn't tell my anything about it. She just said "we're doing this imaging that they do for invisiline". I was confused because i don't need invisiline. I then asked why she was doing it and she said for "cosmetic planning"? I was pretty confused. I'm sure there was a reason why they did the imaging, they just didn't inform me of the reasoning. Next, she put the suction device in my mouth and then proceeded to not clean my teeth for about 5 mins. So i was sitting there uncomfortably with the suction device in my mouth while no actual cleaning was happening. This continued until i took the device off by myself and then she was like "oh sorry, i'll put that away for now". The teeth cleaning itself was much more uncomfortable than other teeth cleaning. Lots of splashing, water got in my eye hahaha which has never happened to me before. Also, she left me with tons of tooth paste still in my mouth and i was laying there was a mouth full of water and tooth paste. After a few mins i asked her if there was somewhere i could spit it out hahaha. Then they told me to get fluoride would be $40. I was confused and said i always get fluoride but have never been charged before. Then she says i don't need it, but it would be good to get. The doctor comes in and says the fluoride is $45. Then i asked about the price and then she says ohhh actually it is $40. She checks my teeth and says i need fluoride, but the free kind? And that i don't need the fluoride that costs money. My main issue here is how confusing it was. They need to clearly tell the patient which fluoride is which, and be clear in the prices. I'm sure there's reasonable rationale behind this, but you need to inform the patient of these things. I only found out this info because i asked a ton of questions. I shouldn't have to dig for this info. One thing i will say is that, while the experience and teeth cleaning was bad, the staff is polite! And the place is clean, and they are on time. So there are some pros here, but also some serious cons.

Meaning you will wince and grimace your way through them. You will survive (barely) and be grateful your teeth are so clean, and also that you don't have to come back for another 6 months. The real issue, though, is the way they push x-rays on you each time you visit, regardless of what is going on in your mouth. I understand, from their perspective, it must make their jobs easier. But if you search for "dental x-rays" on the internet, you will see that, even within the dental community, this is a controversial topic. So if I decline x-rays, which I believe is within my right to do, why am I being made to feel like a criminal by the hygienists and dentists who work here? My most recent visit was the worst - the hygienist really crossed the line, in my opinion. I was there for a cleaning, in somewhat of a rush, and with no pain or discomfort in my mouth. I declined x-rays, not realizing it had been a little over a year since I got them. They hygienist literally grilled me, practically accused me of lying about when I last had dental treatment (actually, I just got confused and forgot because she put me on the spot and I don't keep track of these things), asked me if I was getting cleanings elsewhere (!), etc. It was so uncomfortable that I almost walked out of the office. Do you really want someone poking around in your mouth who is so hostile? I submitted to her brutal cleaning, but I have been fuming ever since. This dentist office should either make a policy that you must have x-rays each time you receive a cleaning, or stop harassing patients and assume it is there choice to make.
