Not much ambience at juice adventure, but there are a few tables to sit and eat if you like. Otherwise, it's a good place to "grab and go". So my previous review still stands, but I just wanted to give another spotlight to their acai bowls. I've tried acai bowls at various locations in the area so I have a little bit of comparison. So the blended acai is very smooth and the right consistency. Not too frozen, not to runny. Not too tart and not too sweet. And the toppings are a good blend of flavor and texture. I deleted my old review (that still gave them 5 stars) because it was short and outdated and I didn't want to just update it because I think I should start off on a fresh slate... Speaking of fresh, it can't get any fresher than Juice Adventure! This was the first place where I got my acai bowl from and that 2-3 years ago. My best friend and I used to be so obsessed that we would take it to next level--more than one acai bowl a day. Their acai bowl was my favorite then, and it is still my favorite now. I don't think anyone else's acai bowls can compare to Juice Adventure's and I'll tell you why... There is not too much acai berry, and there is not too little fruit. There are some places I go to, and they either don't give me enough fruit, or they don't put the fruit that I want (specifically, strawberry). Luckily, this place gives bananas, strawberries, and blueberries. At other place, they don't top my acai bowl with coconut shavings either! That's what I love about Juice Adventure's acai bowls--coconut shavings and honey perfection. Other than their acai bowls, their sandwiches and smoothies are quite delicious also. The sandwiches are pretty big, so I'm able to save the other half for later in the day. I can't say the same about the smoothie though, because I drink that thing like there's no tomorrow. What brain freeze?! I taste the fresh fruit in every sip. There's even a $7.95 lunch special that comes with a salad and smoothie. It's hard to believe an acai bowl is pretty much the same price, though. It went up! I think people started realizing how delicious their acai bowls are... Service is always awesome also! I just left juice adventure as I do every day but tonight (4/29) I unfortunately had the pleasure of having my order taken by Alissa. Who based off of her surprising actions no longer wants to work there. I a regular customer placed my order by phone tonight at 7:35, I walked in picked up my order and walked out. I sat in my car and before pulling off I took a quick sip of my nana nut smoothie. I'm deathly allergic to milk so once I took a sip I knew the milk in my smoothie was diary. I ran out of my car and asked Allisa if the smoothie was made with whole milk or oats which she said whole. I informed her that I was allergic and asked for her to remake it with oats milk. She told me it was a few cents difference. I went to my car to retrieve my phone and came back to a charge for a whole new smoothie being displayed on the screen. I confused by what had taken place asked her, while giving her the benefit of the doubt...the next words out of her mouth not only pained me but has really kept me from returning or recommending this place to any one. Alissa said " I have to remake it & I'd like to go home...." I shocked expressed that I too would like to go home but with what I paid for... she insisted on awaiting for me to pay the full Amount for an additional smoothie. I expressed to her that I would pay the difference for the milk which was Pennies (& quite ridiculous of an ask for a mistake she made) but I all about keeping the peace was willing. Alissa refused to take responsibility and so I said I'd love to speak to her manager which she Rudely replied he wasn't there. If I wasn't a new mom, shocked, offended, and in utter disbelief I would have waited for her to call her manager or I would have called the cops. I've never felt so disrespected from a business I patron often. I've shared this story with many including my family who refuses to step foot in juice adventure. We live nearby and order from here regularly if we are unable to stop in. Since this horrible encounter I have taken the drive to Choice juicery on India street downtown (they have several locations btw) . The service is remarkable, the employees actually want to work there & the customer service is A1. My last words to Alissa was that as a business owner my customers are always right, and if I did make a mistake when placing my order which I didn't because I am allergic soo what. Keep the peace, apologize for the inconvenience & throw in an incentive. She expressed that she doesn't make mistakes at that point I just asked for a refund because the ignorance was beyond me. Thanks for treating this new mom with the utmost respect Alissa. Ps: it took me soo long to write this review bc I truly couldn't stomach the thought of writing a negative review for a place I have loved since we moved here plus let's face it I'm extremely busy. read more

I give this place 2 stars on the bowl it's self ... but the customer service is like your bugging them for their service. I waked in and wasn't even greeted, the girl just stared at me. As I walked towards the register another girl was on the phone. I patiently waited until she was off the phone and once she was done not even a hello or what can I get you? I ordered an açaí bowl and she flipped her screen and said sign here. As I finished paying the other girl in the back was making my bowl and she puts it in a bag and just leaves it on the counter ..... I guess I have to assume it was for me ???? The smoothie menu is pretty long, but most had sherbet as an ingredient and I didn't want that much sugar. They offered to switch out any sherbet on the menu with yogurt, which was nice.
