This place is interesting because it has good ingredients and the cost is a little higher than normal but when you're competing with other locations , it's as normal as you're going to get in Brentwood. I arrived and picked my order on the kiosk and within 3-5min it was ready. The ingredients are high quality and flavor is superb . I usually love this Juice Crafters and regularly order the Chocolate Acai bowl, but today discovered that the new policy is to remove the cacao nibs (one of the only things that makes the bowl chocolate...) without or change in price or product description. Cute little shop in Brentwood for acai bowls, smoothies and pressed juices. They also have pre-prepared snacks and meals available which is always necessary in a busy place like LA. The space is very limited so it's a pick up and go type of place, but if you're gonna pick up and go, it may as well be delicious! I ordered an acai bowl which I had been craving since I got back from Waikiki, and I am happy to report that Juice Crafters totally nailed the perfect consistency/texture for the acai! In my opinion, that totally makes or breaks the acai bowl since I don't like when it's icy or too loose/soupy. The bowl I ordered came with bananas, strawberries, coconut shavings and granola on top. I ordered sans the coconut shavings and added almond butter on the side, I totally recommend it! For some reason, the nut butter provides a great texture and flavor compliment to the rest of the bowl. I haven't tried any of the smoothies or pressed juices yet but when I was there, 3 other customers came in for them during my 5-minute wait so I'm sure they're good! Fresh and Clean (#11) has apple, watermelon, carrot, and ginger. If you really try to discern the separate flavors, you can taste a little of everything. The apple, watermelon, and carrot lend sweetness to the drink while the ginger cuts through with just the right amount of spice without overpowering the rest of the drink. one could, as others have, gripe about the prices here - they are a bit steep - but the Acai bowls are so good, they really are worth the $12-16 dollars. The protein bowl is my usual go-to, with its wondrous melange of fresh strawberries, almond butter, and banana, but the berry bowl is also worth many purchases, as is the "Silver Cup" smoothie. It's definitely a take-out place and Brentwood street parking can be a nightmare if you go later in the day, but there's a small lot behind the strip mall that is free for 20 minutes (I think), which is plenty of time to pick your order up and go.
