I stopped in for a smoothie and a quick snack-- I ordered the Energy Kick smoothie and a blueberry donut. Their donuts are gluten free and almost miniature sized and perfect for a quick sweet snack, without having to commit to a large pastry. They have a great selection and the location itself is nice and convenient. If you are going to get a smoothie that is naturally not sweet, such as a green smoothie, at least get a little bit of sweetener, otherwise it is exactly like drinking a salad. The prices are also extreme, although the cups are big, so as much as I'd like to, can't come too often. read more

The smoothies are ok. I had the Mucho Mango and was not impressed. I imagined it creamier. It was also icy. My boyfriend had Peanut butter smoothie. I liked it better but was a little bland. The staff is ok. The music is annoyingly loud. They ask you what kind of milk you want 10x because you just can't hear them 1ft away. I then went and tried Mr. Goodgenes. I liked that one better. Creamy, tasty, not too sweet. Overall, everyone should give this place a try. I just hope they tone down on the music a bit. read more

Came here at 8:30 on a Thursday moring and the line was only a few people deeps. I got the "Gimme them greens" and it was really good but I felt like the apple juice was overwhelming the kale. It also totalled to $10/20 oz. I know juice is pricey in the city- but I can't justify paying that much unless the quality is insane and I just didn't get that here. I love their peanut butter split shake with banana, peanut butter, almond milk. I always get it when I'm at Grand Central and it's a convenient meal replacement when I am on the go (or if I am fending off ice cream cravings). The customer service in this location is particularly good--the employees seem genuinely happy. One day my three year old dropped her coco acai smoothie on the floor, cracking the plastic cup, spilling half, and making a big ol mess. I apologized and simply asked for a new cup to pour the remainder of the smoothie that didn't wind up on the floor but the staff insisted she get a whole new fresh one. Needless to say, they were gracious in cleaning up our mess and made me feel a lot less bad about it. read more

They have great juice! I am from the Seattle area and make fresh green juice 4 days a week, so I was craving some. I ordered the Supa Dupa Greens. Yes, the price is high, but you are getting a lot of veggies in that cup! I found out if you buy the cold pressed already-made from the cooler, it's non-GMO and organic. The fresh juice may be partially. So the quandary is, do you buy the non-GMO, organic 16 oz that's not fresh, or the very fresh partially organic 20 oz for the same price? This is possibly the best juicer in all of NYC. I got the Watermelon Dragon smoothie and all the ingredients were so fresh. My cashier suggested I add sweetener to the smoothie which was a great suggestion because it cut down on the tartness and made it much sweeter. It had a great atmosphere and it felt very modern. After having my first ACAI bowl in Hawaii(on Kauai), I believe this place does a workable ACAI bowl. The ingredients are fresh and hit the spot. For my bowl I had the PB Acai bowl for breakfast. From ordering to getting the takeout bowl it roughly took 10 minutes when I came in at 7:45AM or so. Overall, I cannot rate this as my favorite bowl mainly due to being spoiled by the higher quality fruits available in Hawaii. The Acai was smooth but did not necessarily have a strong taste(not sure why) and it was a good size meal I would definitely recommend this place to others as creating a good(but not great) Acai bowl. I am not sure what brand they use but I am familiar with Tambor ACAI and it has a stronger taste. read more

This branch of Juice Generation is in a great spot on 42nd street as you walk west to midtown Manhattan. As others have said, it's pricey but comparable to juices at Liquiteria and other NYC juice spots. Waiting for 20mins, then the server told me to take the juice on the counter which sat there for 20 mins for someone did not pick up the order. They never made my order. Worst experience ever. The organization in this particular store is insultingly inefficient. I came in with my girlfriend and ordered and waited for my bowl. After us, maybe 5-6 people came in and placed orders. When our order finally came out, they called out what we ordered instead of our order number. Meanwhile, another rather impatient customer that placed the same order as us took what was supposed to be ours and stormed out. When I ordered, I was told to wait for my order number to be called, yet they don't even stick to that system. Furthermore, every single person who came in after us received their order before us. The staff didn't even apologize for taking so long. I could design a better way of operating this establishment in my sleep. The amount of thinking done in this store rivals kindergarten classes. This location should be the fastest of them all but it is not. Located right across the street from Grand Central, the lines are long in the morning even if you just want to pay for a cold pressed juice. To add to injury, the cold pressed juices bought from this location spoil and combust the plastic bottle in 24 hours. I have bought juices from other locations of Juice Generation and Juice Press (for less money and way more variety) and they are good for at least 3 days. And every single green juice has apple in it - NOT the answer for real juicing. Step it up! read more

All the staff here is super nice. I came in to make my own version of an anti-inflammatory juice to help my recover post-surgery. They were very accommodating and let me substitute some of the ingredients. I requested it to be extra blended so I could sip it without a straw, which they kindly did. There were three people behind the counter all making drinks in bulk or standing around while we were clearly the only people waiting. i got my juice craving fix on friday and feel happy and filled with energy and maybe cause it's friday .the location is 42nd st off lexington ave near grand central terminal. decent size place with some seating with easy to read menu of fruit, veggies juices , smoothies shakes , acai bowels with assorted options and gluten free baked goods, etc. i am not a kale or wheat germ lover but a large watermelon/papaya smoothie is good enough for me. the mountain of bananas , assorted fruits and veggies are emptied into a blender type gizmo and presto your drink arrives .if you can't wait then grab a prepacked juice in the fridge and go on your way .the decor is bright and airy with a staff that are working non stop . overall it's a place to get your health kick on but i wanted something cold and sweet so it's win win . 4 stars on my yelp meter cause paying more then 8 bucks for a drink without alcohol is a bit steep . read more
