I guess due to being near Columbus Circle it adds a premium. Staff was very busy when I went, there was a whole group of construction workers taking their time to order so I had a long wait. Ordered the Mr. Greengenes smoothie and I was happy with it. A sweet and savory kale/spinach combo with mango and banana, added some oat milk too. This folks are mixologist for Vegas and other crazy stuff. Ok my story.. I don't know what I had but got really sick with an upper respiratory cough. I knew I needed to boost my immune system and heat my body up to help clear the crude. They made me a ginger, lemon, chyanne pepper and oregano oil shot... omg it was not easy to get down and I did it two days in a row... but the results were amazing. But I knew it could be added because another store did it. Finally he asked a manager who showed him the button to press to add it. $1 extra, yay! That's what I wanted. My next question was, do they add any sweetener? But before I could get that question out he rudely interrupted and told me I was holding up the line and I needed to be done with my order. This Juice Generation location has always been so nice and kind to me when I walk through the door. a very friendly, open environment with great, swift service. But the kind service isn't what brings me on yelp today. My issue is the amount of plastic waste that I've discovered in my beverage (as I'm drinking it) is absolutely harmful. What if I would have been purchasing this for my 4 year old nephew and put him in harms way? This is the THIRD time I've coughed up and choked on plastic bits. This is not ok. I wish I could've asked for my money back, but I was already in the train station headed downtown. Juice generation employees must be careful on their process for handling food. My biggest concern isn't for me but for the parents and children who come in to order a smoothie and the potential dangers of mishandling food frozen in plastics to then be choked on. If this happens again, I'm going to look into this matter very seriously and file a report. Again, this is NOT ok. read more

Super healthy thirst quenchers. Pricey but worth the price. My favourite is the Daily detox with carrot, ginger and apple. Among the greener juices, Supa Dupa Greens and Hail to Kale are good. There could be a 5 to 10 minute wait. They don't serve in any particular order. You might find somebody who orders after you getting his/her drink before you do. That's the only bummer. With it being summer and all, the I LOVE Watermelon smoothie was an obvious choice. I've been obsessed with everything watermelon-related lately. It comes with fresh watermelon, a variety of berries, and ice. You can also choose to have some agave added, which I would recommend - it still wasn't overly sweet and tasted natural. You could taste the watermelon, but it was slightly overpowered by the berries. Still, I would have this refreshing drink again. It's tempting to keep coming here in the mornings on the way to work or for an after-work pick-me-up, but these things aren't exactly the cheapest thing and you could probably buy a full meal for the same price - that's the only downside. I didn't have to wait too long for my bowl to be prepared. When I did get my order, I was slightly disappointed when I saw the size of the bowl. Kale...mmmmm. I stopped in here for some green juice and they had it. For a price. I think my Crazy for Kale juice ran about 6$. Ouch. It was good though and tasted green just how I liked it. I was going to pick up something for lunch too but everything in the coolers was really expensive. It is New York in a slightly touristy area so that could be why. It may have been worth it for the vegan salads and sandwiches though, they looked fresh and really good, but I just couldn't hand over $10 for a sandwich to go. I also saw juice already squeezed in to go containers but they were running about $8-10 a bottle. Service was excellent and the employees were very nice and quick. A sunny day in NYC and I was in the mood for a smoothie. I've never had one from Juice Generation nor been to one so it was cool to check it out. I apparently wasn't the only one taking advantage of the warm sunny weather since there was a long line as soon as I entered. It was a collective thought. The menu isn't too complicated. They have one for smoothies, juices, and various foods like acai bowls and soups. The ingredients are listed for every item and there aren't too many. I ended up getting the Mucho Mango which had mango (duh), strawberries, coconut flakes, and raw agave. The lady at the register was nice and even gave me a menu with all the nutrition facts of each item they make. The smoothie was great albeit pricy but you get what you paid for. It's organic and fresh and raw and all those healthy terms people like to throw out at you. The smoothie was refreshing, not too sweet, and fruity. A good alternative if to Jamba Juice. read more

Better than Jamba by far! I walked in and noticed an undeniable smell - it smelled healthy. It was a combination of a tower of veggies, fruit and freshly cut grass. I'm a big fatass so some of the items on the menu made me cringe/shiver a little bit. I'm going to be honest - I'm not a fan of Kale and I never will be. The idea of Kale and freshly cut grass doesn't do anything for me. But I did thoroughly enjoy my Pineapple Smoothie. I love that they use frozen coconut milk instead of fro-yo or just ice. The coco milk gave my smoothie a very nice consistency that ensured that there was no ice-clumpage on the bottom that would prevent me from drinking the other half of my drink (cue Jamba smoothies and Starbucks fraps). Prices are a little higher than Jamba but I'll gladly pay the extra for a delicious smoothie. read more

You can also taste a tad bit of lemon towards the end. Tropical Lust - On a sweeter side with a kick of spice from the ginger. For those who are trying the juice for first time, I recommend Hail To Kale. Supa Dupa Greens maybe overwhelming for those who aren't into their veggies. In terms of smoothies, Red Dragon Fruit is good, but Mr. Greengenes with soy milk is currently my favorite - both are awesome though. read more

I noticed right away that the sandwiches wrapped in clear cellophane did not have a label indicating the type of sandwich, nutritional facts or even an expiration label. There was only a sign indicating each sandwich type. I just figured that they were in-house made sandwiches which explained the non-labels. Anyways, after finishing my sandwich and returning back to work - about 30 minutes later I had a horrible upset stomach and ended up spending some time in the glorious bathroom vomiting that sandwich up. Ugh! Not a good first time experience at this place. I know it wasn't the smoothie that made me sick because I didn't even drink close to half of it before having to chuck it. I lost any desire to drink the rest of my smoothie after that experience. I definitely will never eat any of their sandwiches ever again! Would I come back for the smoothie? I haven't decided yet. Juice generation is awesome- quick, convent, fast and has an excellent selection of healthful raw/ vegan food options. The place is just brimming with the aromas of fresh wheatgrass and carrot juice, which is refreshing and almost necessary after walking around in crummy bumbling midtown west. I dock points because of one extremely sad and lacking component- it is not organic. Sure I understand it keeps the price down but hey- your selling fresh pressed juices, and therefore the consumer is probably just as conscientious and willing it pay for the premium! With juice having such a high concentration of nutrients, it's a shame when the pesticides and chemicals of inorganic ingredients are just as fresh as the juice itself :( wahhh, I digress. read more

A great location. Always so quick! The staff always has an upbeat attitude. When I was in there last (they made my açaí bowl so quickly I was able to eat and and run a few errands on my 30 minute lunch break!) a customer forgot something at the register and an employee dashed outside to return it to them. I'm so impressed by the efficiency of the mobile order/pickup fridge, and it's cute to see people walk out with coconuts sometimes. I understand the inability to have an indoor eating space, but my fear is that I'll be less tempted to eat here in the winter months because it'll be too cold to eat it/drink it outside. read more

It had mango, banana, pomegranate and agave in it. perfect amount of sweetness and nice texture. it rang up to just under 8 dollars which isn't too bad for a fresh organic smoothie. don't be too alarmed by the neon pink color of the dragon fruit smoothie. they must blend some of the skin in it cause the interior is white with black seeds. read more

I've been to multiple Juice Generation locations in the city, but this is my favorite in terms of service and the store. I often stop in after my workouts for a healthy smoothie to recharge. I haven't had a bad smoothie yet. My favorites are the Cashew Butter Baby, Protein Knockout, and Protein Buzz. You can usually customize the drinks by adding flavors of protein powder, various milks, or boosts. Smoothies run between $9-10 for 20oz, which is cheaper than most other juice places I've encountered in the city. Like I said, I like this spot the best due to the service. The people are friendly and keep the line moving quickly. None of these stores are large and they get crowded, so it's important that they get you in and out. After a few visits, Juice Generation is solidified as my favorite smoothie place in the city. I've heard great things about their juice cleanses and acai bowls, so I'm going to give those a shot as well! read more
