I love Juice Generation because they have fresh juices. They make it when you order. Their ingredients taste fresh and they have soo many kinds of fruit blends like smoothies if you want a more filling drink. Drinking greens are a great way to intake all the nutrients in vegetables. And I love their "Supa Dupa Greens" juice because it has spinach kale and a bunch of all the nutritional greens. They also have a vegan bakery and fresh coconuts to drink. Some responses on here really need redefining. People complain about taste when ordering green based products. WHAT DO YOU EXPECT? I am a huge fan of smoothies and veggie drinks for about 2 years now as I have 1-2 daily as part of my diet. For pricing, this is fairly average and consistent with other locations in Manhattan. Complaining about pricing in Manhattan is like complaining about cold ice. So please be more fair and not so emotional. MY experience was good. Two people in front of me, ordered the Mango and it tasted extremely good. All ingredients blended well. The only thing is one of the patrons in front of me made a face when I got my drink first... I have been to this location twice in the past week. Once was in the morning and the other time was in the evening. I felt my experience was totally different between both times. During the morning visit, there was 7 people in front of the line. Staff were friendly and acted fast. I was able to get my smoothie (Green Guardian) in 10 minutes, which I thought it was longer than I expected. During the evening visit, only 3 customers in the store, including me. 5 staff were "working". Or acting that they were busy. I ordered the same smoothie. The guy, who supposed to make the drink, forgot to put almond milk and ice. After the juice was well mixed and sitting in the blender for 5 minutes, another guy opened the cap of the blender and put in the additional ingredients. During the entire time, the first guy was in the back and holding the faucet, as if he was washing something. Again the smoothie got blended for the second time. After 10 minutes, I finally got my drink. I said "thank you" to the guy, who handed me the drink. He said nothing in return. Seriously, STAY AWAY from this place! The shop is not that big or wide there is a small sitting area near the window but it looks like patrons most take items to go. I Was looking to get some fresh pressed juice but choose as smoothie, a Mr.Greens instead. I have to say for the price it was pretty good and not to sweet. I was asked what type of plant milk I wanted and I decided on Almond milk. I was feeling disgustingly slow and tired so I thought I'd have a smoothie made from freshly squeezed fruits. I've walked past this place numerous times on my way to and from school and noticed that it's always relatively empty. I ordered the watermelon smoothie which came with fresh watermelon juice, and three types of berries. It was good, but a tad bit on the sour side. I completely understand that acai bowls take longer to make than smoothies. But when you're #27 and they've called up to #36 without you getting your order, it's a bit confusing. Even worse, I stood by the front. #29, #31 and #36 were other acai bowls. There were two people working, so the fact that 3 people else with higher numbers got their bowls before I did means that they were working on theirs well before mine. If they could get their ordering process under control, I'd definitely add one star because the bowls taste great and are very filling. But for now, the long wait is a bit much. I have to agree with some of the reviews that the prices are on the higher side. With the expensive price tag, there is not enough standing bar space to enjoy the drink. I guess they target customers who want healthy diet on the go, but not so much staying inside for social hangouts. So far except for the price, I am very happy with the quality and flavors of my smoothies. My favorites are joyful almond and XO COCO. They let you choose between almond milk or coconut milk. I love both. And they would give out the extra from the blender on a small paper cup (when they are not too busy). With tax it's almost $9. I only go there thinking I would have $1 pizza for dinner. The almost butter bliss acai bowl. Holy sh*t. It's so good that I crave it. They aren't stingy like other juice places and load you up with granola and almond butter and fruit. I have been coming to this place since they open. I love their Kale Kolada (kale, spinach, and young coconut). Hands down the best drink. I introduce a lot of my friend to this place. But they really disappointed me the last time I went there. Every time I order this drink, it's a full cup (20oz), but this time they gave me half a cup(12oz). They said the reason why it's only half a cup is depend on the amount of coconut juice in the shell. But, this have never happen before and normally the guy making my drink will fill it up to the full cup size. I think the workers should know how much amount it should fill the cup. I'd paid for almost $10 for a 20oz, not a 12oz drink. I think it's important for customer they get what they pay for and making them happy, especially for a customer that goes there every week. From that first sip- I WAS ADDICTED (I know the cross streets of almost every location). Everything here is claim to be healthy and organic. Me and my friends love this place for its fresh juices and smoothies. It is kind of expensive so would recommend getting a smoothie rather than the juices. I love their peanut butter split I can drink it everyday. I like the friendly service and wide range of juices and smoothies available. I always get the Mr. Greengenes $7.95 + tax and sub the bananas for blueberries which they allow for no extra charge. For the smoothies, you select the milk (I usually go with almond) and sweetener (none for me). I treat myself to a weekly Mr. Greengenes. I've never had green juice that I like as much as mr. greengenes. I do Juice Generation instead of Starbucks (much more healthful for the $$) and it's next to my gym. They *are* pricey. And they even raised prices recently, like 10%: mr. greengenes used to be $7.25 but now $7.99, which becomes $8.66 after tax. And I still have to get lunch?! If they raise the prices again, I'll probably think twice before walking in. I like the juice, but i'll have a harder time justifying any higher price. read more

The other juices are all tasty, too, although the Citrus one tastes too sweet to me (left my teeth feeling coated in sugar even though there's no added sugar). I just love this place! I was two days into a flu that was rendered me damn near comatose. I had to get into work the following day, unfortunately. I was literally dragging myself through mass transit, and contemplating passing out as I imagined my self collapsing on the platform waiting for the 6 train. I somehow got to the office. My body was yearning for liquid nutrition. I walked around and found no places selling any real smoothies. All fluffy fruit ones. I needed ginger. And lots of it. As I was fading on 23rd street in Kips Bay, I pulled out my phone and with my last bit of energy, I went to Yelp, and searched for juice bars nearby. Juice Generation came up. Reviews looked good. I decided, what the heck. A staff person was stocking the fridge and asked if I need help while I tried to read the large variety of products they make. He suggested a hot drink called Cold Warrior. Then I saw their shots and boosters. I got the Vital Shot. (I usually make this at home when I get a cold or for people, but since I was practically dead, I couldn't. That and I didn't have ginger home.) I took the shot and started sipping the hot COLD WARRIOR concoction. I was skipping down the street within 5 minutes, and smiling at everyone saying "Hello" to all my neighborhood family. I WS ALIVE. I BEAT THIS THING. I was on the road to recovery. Prices were reasonable, they use fresh stuff. It's all GMO free. It's worth it. They get busy but the wait is worth it. ~$8 well spent.
