Great spot for a cup of coffee in a quiet, spacious environment. I've tried a few of their espresso drinks, including their honey latte, and haven't been disappointed. They have wifi and a bathroom (FOR CUSTOMERS ONLY), as well as plenty of seating throughout the long space. Most of it is stools and hardwood tables, don't expect a cozy cafe lounge vibe. But still a good spot to post up for caffeine and maybe a bit of work or quiet conversation. read more

Anne chose a Mango Refresher and I had a small Iced Latte. As I hadn't eaten lunch I asked for an Everything Bagel, toasted with cream cheese. We both sat at a large wooden table which had grooves to have a conversation. Neither of us had seen each other for several weeks. While there were customers in the cafe thankfully it wasn't crowded and we could enjoy tbd time here. A. E thought the mango chilled drink was flavorful. My cold coffee was fine and as the bagel was quite large I took half home to have for breakfast the next day. Our only peeve here was that the music was a touch too loud. read more

How kind of me, right? I totally forgot to answer prompts for tip/receipt. But I didn't realize that meant "go ahead and tip yourself handsomely, anything you want, from my bank account." That is not how tipping works. That is how stealing works. I called the store to handle it directly around 1PM, left my #. Was told the manager would call me back. No one called me back. Instead, I was charged $6.75 for a medium iced latte, and the cashier acted that I was the one at fault for reading the sign wrong. I came here to meet someone at 6:45 pm. The customer service was terrible and the drink was awful. The sign said they close at 7 pm, but after I got my drink at 6:15, they started yelling that they were closing in 15 minutes. Very unprofessional. read more

This was a fine spot to get some work done but one I'd rather come to in the future if I was just stopping by. The coffee and my everything bagel were good and I honestly couldn't change a thing. The service was very friendly and helpful when we were ordering and getting our food. The only things I'd change about this location are the seats and the bathroom. The seating area was predominantly a long table with uncomfortable stools. Not every coffee shop needs to be one to work or sit at but I thought this was a loss of good space. Better chairs or individual tables could be more helpful. The bathroom was pretty dirty and there were napkins and stuff strewn around. Overall, I'd stop by this coffee shop in the future for a nice drink or bagel but I don't think I'd come back if I wanted to pass time in a coffee shop. read more

This is one of my favorite coffee shops to post up and work remote from whenever I'm in town. The cold brew tastes smooth and is decently strong, and I've never had trouble finding a seat since the space is pretty big. I love getting a window seat and people/dog watching (adhd life), though my one complaint is that the metal stools are not the most comfortable. If you're lucky you can get one of the few comfy seats in the corner, but the stools lowkey help keep me awake?? Lol. The wifi is fast and strong, and there are outlets all along the walls, so you'll always see people working here, as well as some people just hanging out with friends. The staff are not always the friendliest, but they're efficient at least. Definitely a reliable place to get work done! read more

We came here early Sat and got 2 bagels with a cold brew. The total came out to around $15 which was very reasonable. I got extra cream cheese on my bagel but it comes with a decent amount of cream cheese so I didn't need extra. The bagel seemed like it might have been made the day before? Kind of stale. Came here on a Monday morning looking for a place to get some work done. Plenty of work space with people always coming and going. The music wasn't loud at all and they were playing some jams so that was nice while being productive. Ordered a honey latte and the avocado toast with the poached egg and one of the loafs. The barista was so sweet, and offered us a fresh piece along with what we ordered since the loaf on the display was on the smaller side. The latte was good, just the right amount of sweet, the avocado toast even better. The poached egg didn't run at all which is perfect because I'm not a fan of runny yolk. Bean and Bean popped into my radar as I was walking. I saw plenty of seating inside and I needed to sit down with a bite to eat and a coffee. The empty seating didn't give me any indication that they may not be popular. Yelp had Four Stars. There were customers in here. First I was charged $4.25 for a butter scone. The sign on it said $3.75. I said to the cashier she needs to correct the price on the scone. (Or didn't she know the price.) I was overcharged, so No tip. Plus She ignored my request to correct the price. Second my coffee was not filled up. I'm giving Two stars because the small drip coffee tastes good and was hot. Will I ever return? No, not worth $7.24. Plus the scone was dry. I can't recommend, sorry. PS After I used the smelly nasty bathroom I went back by the cashier counter. Wow! Deja vu! One of the first coffee places I went to since I moved to New York City from Los Angeles. Nostalgic and a trip down memory lane for me as I used to constantly come here since 2021. Nothing has changed: workers are super friendly, prices are still fairly similar to before and the wifi has an extra backup now. This is the only place I feel comfortable going to when the apartment walls are closing in and I need to get some work done. Lots of perches with outlets nearby, staff generally devoid of 'tude, and a fairly recent development - an expanded menu with bagels! The bagels are good - my toasted sesame with veggie cream cheese hit the spot this morning, washed down with a cappuccino. Pretty disappointing. One of the only coffee spots to do work on 8th ave in Chelsea area near me. The place visually looks dirty, water cups for us to use I guess were covered in coffee grounds (I watched the barista place a new sleeve and net even try and wipe off the grounds). Horrible customer service. I really like their iced oat honey lattes despite it being $10 and when it's good I justify the price. But sometimes they don't make it well and it really breaks my heart and wallet and it ruins my day. For a cafe being so expensive consistency should be required. Go to variety across the street. They are nicer, consistent, and cheaper. Also they have wifi that is full bars, unlike the two here. Update: I went back and told them it wasn't good and it was $10. REPEAT $10. There is ample seating indoors with free wifi, and my friend and I snagged seats at the large wooden table that's ideal for spreading out your materials, notes, and thoughts. For autumn, the seasonal lattes were are gingerbread, pumpkin spice, or a mix of BOTH! I'm actually a huge fan because they aren't too sweet but still taste very unique, which is hard to come by (case in point: ubiquitous coffee chain behemoth whose PSL, while addictive, is sooo sugary). Walked in around 6 p.m. and there was no available seating until I spotted two stools at the communal table. Garbage from previous patrons (shame on you) sat on the table which was annoying. But it also indicated the lack of frequency from the workers in tidying up for the next person. We ordered a hot Jasmine tea (one size) and a 24 ounce iced Serendipity tea which was supposed to be an herbal combination but didn't taste like much. $8.17 and a couple hours later, I left disappointed. It's relatively quiet and music isn't so loud which I greatly appreciate. Service is quick and friendly. Prices are definitely a little more expensive than other areas in the city, but it's good! This should be featured on a "places to study in NYC" search/blog. I've been looking for a coffee shop/ space to do some studying and couldn't find one in my Google search, with the exception of some libraries and hotel lobby bars. (Yep, those came up in the search). It was a lovely day and I'd carried my study material hoping to stumble on a good place to catch some studying post seminar and that's exactly what happened. I was walking from Times Square and walked past Bean & Bean and just happened to glance in. I saw what appeared to be a studious bunch with coffee cups and laptops side by side. So I literally stopped in my tracks and moonwalked right in. I ordered a multigrain berry muffin which was just OK, a little too dense for my liking. Also ordered an iced cappuccino, which was good and reminded me of a Greek frappe. As far as the space, it's an open layout, spacious, concrete walls and wooden tables with ample, diverse seating arrangements. Decent, just loud enough music and some nice tunes (Snow Patrol, M.I.A, etc) and tons of charging outlets. The patrons here seem to all be on the same page--laptops, study materials, and periodic refills of coffee and snacks. There is also avo toast (of course there is) for the larger cravings and other delectable pastries/croissants, organic coffees and teas. A few do come to chat, but the noise level remains modest. My partner and I dropped by to escape the rain while visiting NYC. It was one of the only coffee shops that wasn't packed and would keep us warm for as long as we needed. The whole vibe reminded me of a better Starbucks. The staff was friendly and overall no one bothered us despite our extended stay. This coffee shop was a savior for us (and our wet clothes) and I appreciate the the comfort and leisurely vibe. I was excited to try a new coffee shop with my friend last night. We found this place on Yelp (obviously) and decided to meet here based on recommendations. Bean & Bean, doesn't have a big parking lot but there was ample street parking. The coffee shop itself is modern, chic, and clean. There are mostly tables and bar tops. Great for working! We managed to snag comfy armchairs. The baristas were super friendly and seemed to enjoy working there. The drink selection is typical of a cafe, with prices similar to Starbucks but not as large of a menu. I'm sure they'd be happy to create a special drink for you though. One perk, which many coffee shops do not have, is you can also order wine! I went with a mocha cappuccino with almond milk and my friend went with rose. Bean & Bean also has a snack menu: cookies, croissants, danishes, and avocado toast (how millennial, haha). I'll definitely be back soon! read more
