They're natural and each ingredient is intentional in keeping the body healthy. What I love about their service are the friendly staff and juice samples. Today, I got the Da Treat-- my sister's favorite. For my cold, I got Gimme A Beet-- beet, celery, carrot, turmeric, ginger, lemon. I asked Hayden, who's welcoming and easy to talk to, to recommend the best juice to fight a cold. She said anything with turmeric and ginger. I sampled Gimme A Beet. It was sweet with the right amount of kick, which will come out of nowhere. Thank you, ginger. For the free elixir, I chose Peace Up. I could have brought it home or have the shot there. I chose to have it there. Lowkey regret it though because its kicked effed me up for a bit. I had to sip that baby slowly. I asked for water after I finished it. This was worth it. Was looking for a pressed juice place and little did I know there's one in Benicia! Luckily the person working there gave me samples of the one I was initially trying to get and it wasn't the one for me. I tried a sample of the kale machine and it wasn't sooo good! I definitely need to try the others but will definitely come get the Kale drink next time. As for the Honest wave coffee, it was good but also kind of flat. I tried mixing in some other creamers or so to make it better! They have a variety of milk flavors as well that I would try! Kenna was wonderful and provided great hospitality to me and my family. We stumbled upon this cute place on a walk down First Street and were pleasantly surprised at the variety of juice and kombucha. We were offered samples before choosing a few flavor combinations to purchase. I love that you can return the bottles for $0.50 credit off your next purchase. The inside is so cute and welcoming! We were able to bring our senior-aged dog inside and she waited while we tasted. I personally bought the Ginger Up juice and it was delicious. The Golden Beet juice was out of stock aside from a small reserve we were able to sample. I would buy 10 of them if I could take them back home on the plane with me. I'm so sad to have had this experience. Particularly after having left a 5-star review in the past. I also want to preface this by saying it's not necessarily the person behind the counter. I was excited to stop in since I don't get to this part of town often. Mind you...I also happen to stop on my b-day and said as much when I walked up to the counter. I asked for help with my selection - I only remembered that it had cayenne and honey and that I got it without the honey. She suggested Kicker. I read it and thought 'ok' that sounds right. I ordered it and immediately knew it wasn't it. Meanwhile, I'd been asking about buying the larger 16 oz. When I tasted it I said out loud, 'this isn't it'. Turns out it should have been Triple S. I asked if they also had that one in 16 oz, and if I could get the shot replaced for the one I left without drinking, on the counter. She said "no" and then offered to write someone who apparently also said 'no'. They've lost my business entirely. I paid the $5, for a sip of one product I didn't like and left on the counter. But they also didn't make the $25 sale for the 16 oz bottle. Very disappointing. Particularly because it's not that the person behind the counter suggested there was more than one with honey and cayenne and I still chose the wrong one. I've come here several times. The juice is fresh and everything needs to be consumed within 3 days I believe. They let you try samples on all drinks except coffee. They have fresh pressed juice, non-dairy milks, & coffee drinks. Jars can be returned for .50 cent per jar credit on your next purchase I have received good service each time. I will continue to come here, & would recommend a visit! I like the Ca-root, Green Machine! I've tried others that I've enjoyed. The last few times I've gone here, I've gotten ill afterwards. The bottles are dated within 1 day or same day of expiration. I have asked repeatedly for more fresh bottles and am declined every time. I just don't feel it's very fresh or safe to be ingesting that close to the perish date. I come here hoping to feel better, not become sick for a day afterward. It's super frustrating, because I used to like it and not have any issues. But, it's not the same anymore and neither are the staff. It's not worth having a stomach ache and running to the bathroom several times for the next 24 hrs. My family has had the same issue repeatedly too in the last few months. A new (at least to me) local place on Benicia's Main Street. My wife and mom stopped by here the other day and she (my wife) wanted to go back, so off we went. Juice House offers, you guessed it, juice. Their juices are made from organic fruit/veggies, cold pressed, and bottled in glass. They also have a small selection of pastries and house brewed coffee. I got the "Da Treat" bottle. It's made from 100% organic carrot, pineapple, and orange. It was delicious! I found it to be a perfect balance as no one flavor out did the other. We were advised that if we returned the glass bottles we would be credited 50 cents per glass on our next order. Customer service was good and payment was super simple and contactless. I was able to tap the reader with my card and off we went. I'll definitely be coming back to try their coffee before heading home to Nevada. read more

I've been here twice and I must say that I love the Ginger Up juice! It has the perfect spicy kick that I look for when I'm craving a refreshing juice. Service here is usually pretty friendly. They let you try samples that are available and make recommendations. This past weekend, I stopped by and picked up a Ginger Up juice. I got one of their shots for the first time and unfortunately I wasn't all that impressed. They ran out of the juice shot containers so she told me she could only give it in a sample cup. I didn't really want to drink it then and there but since I made time to stop by, I just went with it. The juice shot is supposed to be 2 oz but I felt like she gave me - lot less than what I should have received. Next time, I'll only do the shot if the appropriate container is available. This was my 4th visit here. Every time it is top notch service. The staff is so kind, patient ( with all my questions) and so knowledgeable. I normally do the beet juice, but lately my body has been craving greens. I ended up buying the special, Tinker Bell, and it was so yummy. Not that over powering "green" taste at all. I also bought the mean green juice as well. Smooth, and earthy flavor. We also did a "shot" while there and chased it with the tinker bell. Stop in. Ask questions. Try samples. Cute little juice shop that offers day cleanses. Was interested because of my upcoming wedding and thought since it was local, I'd give it a shot. Placed my order online for a three day rookie juice cleanse to pick up the next day. They advertise that your order just needs to be placed 24 hours in advance. When I went to pick it up, I was initially only going to get day one of the day three cleanse I purchased because the store hasn't received it's delivery for the day yet. Nico was nice enough to give me different substitutes for the juices I was missing so I'd be able to have at least two days worth of juices, and was asked to return later to pick up the last day of juices. My only complaint was that I had to return at a later time to pick it up because of how out of the way it was for me and I was busy prepping for my wedding. Since I placed the order in advance, I just expected for it to be ready as advertised. Staff was really nice and juices were good, so I'd come back to try the other juices they have. read more

Ginger Up. Ginger me up man. I've gone...quite a few more times recently and I definitely have a favorite. If you like Apple Juice and you like spicy things, then I highly recommend Ginger up. It's basically like drinking Apple Juice with Ginger and Cayenne. I don't even tase the other things in it. It even looks cool too!! But I think I like it the most because it has really been helping with my metabolism recently. It's always good when you enjoy drinking or eating something and it's actually good for you!! As always the people here are highly knowledgeable of their products and extremely friendly if you ever have any questions!! If you bring their bottles back you get .50 back for each one. My initial knowledge/experience with The Juice Shop started on January 10, when placed an order via DoorDash. I learned of their local spot in Benicia, so I started going in once a week to purchase a variety of juices and turmeric/ ginger shots. The inside has a very sterile look to it but I was just a little leery of the juice bottles, not being sealed until one of the staff told me what to look for, as far as if it had been tampered with. So far as of today, I have been helped by three of the young ladies there but the downfall has been the inconsistent information given by them all. Not only has the inconsistency been frustrating, but costly as well. I inquired about the color dots on the lid of the juices and was told, by one staff, it meant how old the juice was only to be told on my next visit, by another staff, that was ridiculous and the color marking meant the juices were made by different people/company. Sometimes I would be charged for the juice carriers and other times I wasn't. I would be charged one price for the ginger and turmeric shots, the next visit I was charged a much higher price and the following visit charged another price for the same shots. On one visit I was told, bya staff member, to take a picture of the contents and make the juices at home which would be much cheaper. The inconsistency had me thinking should I start taking this personally, was this happening to any other customers? It's bitter sweet for me because their location was perfect for me but I don't want spend my money some place where I'm not sure of their intent. read more

My mother in-law is in town, we get to see her only once a year, and while on a bike ride with her and my children, I told her we should stop in here to get drinks, I told her we also get a little money back if we return the bottle after we're finished drinking. So we decided to stop in. Even though they're pretty pricy. I like the drinks here.. but we were not allowed to enter the building when we ordered. I've gone I to business in Benicia and Vallejo the same day and we're allowed to enter those.. not cool. I almost didn't want to give money to this business after we had to order from the doorway.. We order, get our drinks, continue on our bike ride. On the way back, we stop in with our empty bottles to get some money back for returning the bottles.. we were told they only give us money back if we rinsed them out first... WHAT?! Are you kidding!? Had a horrible experience at Juice House and wouldn't recommend anybody to go here! Recently, I decided to go on a juice cleanse where I planned to drink juices 2-3 times a day, so I wanted to buy a lot, like 10+. After learning that the juices expire/go old after 4 days, I politely asked if I could have the juices that were made that day. Makes sense right? I didn't want to purchase juices that had been made 3 days ago, and then have them expire in my fridge. I thought this was a reasonable request, however the staff phoned the manager or owner, who was one of the rudest business owners I have ever talked to. Word for word she claims that the "customer is not always right" and that this would "put her out of business." Seems pretty ridiculous if you ask me - why would I pay $10 per bottle for old juices that would expire a day or two later? Yep, if this behavior and treatment of ANY customers like this continues, and speaking to them in this demeaning way, this shop WILL go out of business. We finally have a local juice house nearby! Went in this morning and she was very patient with each customer and offered tastings for whatever was available for samples. Very knowledgeable on the benefits of each fruit/veggie/elixir. Pros: Local business, street parking fairly easy,lots of variety of juices, knowledgeable staff, reasonable prices for the quality of product, you can return glass bottles and get some money back when you purchase more! Not just juice they have coffee, nut milk and kombucha! The almond tempest was so yummy! Cons: line can get backed up if a customer is asking questions, probably a good idea to get one more staff member to help w education and tastings and another to ring up, they close early on some days of the week at 1 PM. read more

I'm writing this review on behalf of my wife, who is too nice to say anything online about her experience. On a Monday she started a 3-day juice cleanse. On Tuesday she had severe abdominal cramping and explosive... trips to the bathroom. By Wednesday she had these things PLUS nausea and vomiting. By the end of the evening she was having a hard time keeping down water. She had a bad case of food poisoning. I know it can be tough to pinpoint exactly where you may have gotten food poisoning, but in this case it was easy; she was on the 3rd day of a 3-day juice cleanse, and she was only drinking Juice House juice. This is an open and shut case. She was sick from the juice. My wife emailed to let them know what happened to her, and they apologized immediately. Just kidding. The owner got on the phone and actually argued with my wife. For 15 minutes. And in the end - and this is why I'm writing this review - the owner told my wife that nausea and vomiting were NORMAL on a juice cleanse. Seriously? A juice cleanse should make it hard to keep down... juice? They begrudgingly refunded 1/3 of the purchase price of the juice, but never really apologized. Frankly I don't care about the money, I care about the apology and the fact that my wife was told vomiting and being unable to keep down fluids was a natural part of a juice cleanse. Would give 0 stars if possible. Would not recommend. read more
