It's been my go-to donut shop for the last few years. They are very reliable and deliver a consistent product. I'm a big fan of their yeast donut, cake donut, French donut as well as the croissants. Both my kids love the donut holes. Never had a breakfast sandwich or even tried the coffee so I don't have an opinion on that. The driveway to get into their parking lot is a bit narrow so be careful getting in and out as Alhambra can be a busy and fast road. read more

Decided to head to Dutch Bros in Martinez off Alhambra Ave and spotted a Doughnut place. It reminded me a lot of the doughnut spot I go to in Pinole. When I went it was not busy, they had a pretty good selection of doughnuts and they serve breakfast sandwiches and smoothies. They are nice people and greet you when you come in. It is a small place you can sit and have your food or coffee or take it to go. It's a nice mom and pop place that are open 5-1p and I support that. read more

My son wanted a donut,so we went here on the way to going to my sister's. This was around 10:30 am this morning. Everything started off pretty good, we ordered our donuts. My son got a sprinkled maple and I got cinnamon twist. We sat down and enjoying the donuts. After the family that was behind us was done and sat down. I started to hear a weird clicking sound. The young guy and girl were on their phones, not coming from them. I kept hearing it and it sounded like nails being clipped. The young girl and guy had left to go to the back and the sound kept happening. After we were done I grabbed all of our garbage and saw a trash bin next to the counter. As I'm putting the trash in the bin, I look over to see what that sound was. What I saw made me sick. I came in today and ordered breakfast sandwiches and then some donut holes and an old-fashioned donut, the lady behind the counter must've been tired or something because she was extra rude with me. And then when she went to ring me up, the total clearly said $32 and then for some reason after I handed her 40 she said the total was $40.70. She gave me a nasty attitude about it struck me off when I tried to give her the extra $.70 but told her that I was confused for just two dollars She raised your Voice to show me a receipt. I will never come back here or do this here again. No matter how good the food might taste when I get home. I really think that I left the sour taste in my mouth. Period. A small family owned donut shop. Service was slow to very slow at best...maybe because they use family workers. I ordered 12 special bagels. 4 ham and cheese bagel, 4 bacon, ham and cheese bagel and 4 sausage and cheese bagel. When she heard how many she had to make, her face dropped and she told me it was going a be a while. I told her it was okay. As she was making my orders, a couple of customers came in. The cook didn't even come out to help. After a few minutes, she told the customer that was was making a big order; so it'll be awhile. After waiting about 10 minutes, he left. Then a nurse, it's near a hospital, came in for some donuts. Again she told her it's was going to be awhile but instead called for the cook, to come out and help. After about 30-35 minutes, she was done with my order...9 bagels. Yes, she forgot the other 3 sausage cheese bagels...maybe on purpose. I found out when she read out the order while ringing me up. I told her she forgot the 3 bagels but decided to forget about them after she made the "whew" sign. I love being personally recommended to go somewhere or to try something from people I know or from people on social media. This was one of the spots I got shown through here on Yelp from a person I follow. Coming here from Pittsburg is super easy. Just take the 4 down, go down the Alhambra exit, turn right, and this donut deli will be on the right just a few feet from the Chase. There's a big green sign propped up too! Parking looks small, and is a bit tricky to get in and out of, but there's more often than not a space left to be filled. Inside is very clean. There are a couple of tables in there. All of them spread apart that way you could stretch any limb without bothering a fellow guest. The service is prompt and kind. They talk to you. They are polite. They are efficient and get what you ask them to do done just mere seconds after you had asked them what you wanted. No restrooms! So don't ask. They sell a bunch of stuff. I spotted the normal array of donuts that other donut shops have. They got croissants. fritters, and sandwiches that you could use sliced bread or bagels. They got tea and coffee, There's a compartment with juice, soda, and water. They sell gum too! Price range wise they sell their donuts the same as any other donut shops. Prices are still pretty reasonable. I caught on early that you can only use card for purchases $4 and over. OF COURSE. I swear I need to start bringing cash. My eyes then spotted something that I could hardly resist. They had smoothies with pearl. The flavors went from Coconut to Honey Dew to Taro. If a place has anything with pearl or baba you can count on it that I would try it. I purchased the taro pearl with half a dozen donut holes. Donut holes: tasty. A bunch of sweetness to it. Taro Pearl: I loved the tapioca so damn much. It has to be my favorite tapioca spots I have ever had the planet. It was the right amount of sweetness and Icould really taste the taro. This simple and unassuming donut shop right by the freeway on Alhambra makes some of the best croissant sandwiches I have had. I love the ham and cheese croissant!! I think the secret is the "Swiss American" cheese which I have only seen in major bulk at Smart & Final. I've tried to recreate these at home, but it's not the same without that cheese! They also make donuts fresh each day, never too oily and consistently good. I'm partial to the blueberry cake donut. Yum! This is a late review...but back in July of this year I stopped by this shop for coffee, donuts, and a breakfast sandwich. I paid with my ATM card and later that day I was reviewing my bank statement and saw a fraudulent charge of $80+ that followed my purchase at the donut shop for some nutritional supplements. Being an LEO at the time, I did a little investigation that revealed that the person who used my ATM card lived in AZ and then discovered through FB that the donut shop owner was associated with the person who made the purchase. Had a meeting down the street today and I was early so decided to stop in and grab a donut and coffee when I walked in it was about 6 people sitting around having coffee and 4 of them looked at me as to say "what are you doing here" I didn't really care about that - I see the coffee counter so I go over keeping my distance in case someone else wants coffee while I'm deciding which blend I want then a man stands next to me (a regular there) as soon as I get a cup he squeezes in my space to get a cup and pour his coffee I'm thinking you had time and space why move now (strike 2 for this place) lastly, I get my coffee and ask for a donut the lady was not friendly at all well at this point I'm thinking forget everything and just go but no I'm going to continue with my visit they have a sign that's right in your face that says .75 charge for card if you don't make the limit the lady sees my card and before she did anything she lets me know there is a charge in a snippy tone I tell her I see the sign ok that's fine - she rang me up asking did I want a receipt I said yes she huffed and gave me my receipt I'm not sure what her problem was as well as the customers with me being there but I will never go back there again it's totally a neighborhood spot and not friendly to others everyone coming and going looked at me as if I should have not been there. The apple fritters, the maple bars, all the pastries here are top notch. We were sad to see it close briefly during the shelter in place order, but we're happy to see them back! I live right in the area and have passed by this place for 6 years before I went in. Why? I am not a huge donut fan and I am not interested in wasting my calories. That being said, I came in the door a few months ago and was impressed by the quality and freshness of the product. I have been in several times since. They have one of the best maple bars around.
