Ah, one of my favorite haunts around UCR. The Juices are the usual Juice It UP variety, but it is the service that makes this location shine. The place is Korean-owned and the owner is really businesslike and efficient. This translates into the employees also. They make the Smoothie incredibly fast; I'm talking somtimes less than 2 min from the time you walk in to the time you walk out with your drink. I've been to numerous Juice places where it takes 5 min or more, even when there is no one in front of you. Quite a mediocre smoothie and juice store that doesn't bring anything new to what's been established by other stores such as Jumba Juice or Robeks. This location though seems to have problems making drinks taste correctly. Ordering a mango mania, one would think it would have mango taste, but instead it tastes like it's just filled with banana. If this is how their drinks taste from descriptions, they should change their naming for all drinks. read more

Came into this store this evening and the young lady working the counter (receipt lists name as Alexandria) was nice and informative as to which drinks to recommend for detox blended varieties. So i get the medium "The Greens" drink. Once paid, and waited for my drink, the other female worker who was making my drink (with the white ear buds) looked unfriendly and even while she was finished making my drink not a single thank you or have a nice day! No acknowledgement as i go to the turntable to grab my drink she quickly turns her back to me. Wow thats how you treat your customers or guests when arriving to your store or house? Very similar to Jamba Juice and Robeks, just not as good. This place used to be awesome. It was always convenient since I always passed by here on my way to class. Drinks used to taste good and priced better than Jamba Juice. Now after the change in management things went down hill. Drinks taste more bland now and not worth it any more. I'm also not sure if prices have changed but I feel like I'm paying a dollar or so more. Employees also need to learn how to make better smoothies. Sometimes one flavor over powers the other and you can barely taste the other. A good smoothie is a combination of the flavors where you can taste all the fruit that was added in. Also they do over do it with yogurt so I've gotten accustomed to telling them to go easy with it. I really do hope they get it together. Juice it Up is just not good in general. It tastes so diluted, like if they are cheaping you out on the fruit. And I used to work at Robeks, so believe me when I say that some owners are sooo cheap with their materials. This place is not worth a visit. If you are at the UV and craving something cold, I would go with the frozen yogurt place. I always have to get a custom smoothie at Juice it Up (because they somehow do not have anything with strawberries and peaches combined) and they always manage to make it taste like I completely wasted $4. I am now currently trying to down one of their smoothies, in which they put WAY too much yogurt, so now it feels like I'm drinking milk. Yuck. read more

I went the the juice it up on university. I placed my order over the phone and it took me forever to find a parking spot. So I had to get a parking ticket and had to fight for a spot there... than I got in juice it up the girl didn't know how to use a gift card so she had to get help.(which is fine that she didn't know but it was super busy, everyone was crammed, so coworkers wanted to help her) than I waited like 5 minutes as I'm watching everyone else get their order and mine was done the whole time... and to top it off the parking place charged me $5 because I was over the 10 min parking by 3 minutes and I didn't get my pass validated. Smoothie was good but I wouldn't recommend this one if you're on a 30 minute lunch break. (I work 5 mins from this location) read more

Not as great as Jamba Juice or Robek's. During my undergrad at UCR, I only came here three times, and each of those three times I ended up with a stomach ache. The smoothies tasted overly grainy and off. Do yourself a favor and drive out to Moreno Valley for some trusty Jamba Juice. read more

Drove to this location for nothing! On yelp, it says they close at 8pm. Got here a few minutes ago around 7:45 & the place still looked open. When i got inside, the girl says "we're closed. It's an average smoothie joint. And by average I mean it's corporation owned with corporation recipes. I've definitely have had worse, and I've definitive have had better. Yet considering this place is the closest to campus, it makes it pretty convenient to visit. If I'm ever craving a smoothie, this is my go-to joint. Awesome smoothies. They mostly use real frozen fruits. Really refreshing especially now that's it's really hot. Place is nice and clean and staff are friendly every time I go there. Never tried their protein powders though. read more

Got the ultimate acai bowl and was ultimately disappointed. The blend was watery and it did not have the sweet taste that acai bowls are supposed to taste like. It tasted bitter and it just did not hit the spot. It was about $7.95 and it only came with granola, bananas and honey. The cup was also small so it wasn't worth. I love smoothies. I love raw juices. This place is just a few miles give or take from my offcampus apartment. I love to come in about 2-3 times a week. The quality of the smoothie is great. Especially the mango mania. However, I give this location a 2 star rating because of the service of one particular employee. The girl with the dark hair with glasses was very friendly and helped me differentiate the difference between a smoothie bowl and smoothie, but the girl with the light brown hair wearing glasses seemed rather a bit irritated and was not smiling when i greeted her.(her name tag said alysa) I asked her why she didn't smile and she didn't answer but then smiled. A forced smile at that. Someone needs to cheer her up because it brings the entire ordering process down.
