Was searching for a late night dinner that was not overpriced and I was excited to try this new…read morefood truck near CWE. The good part about this food truck is that the menu items are pretty cheap compared to other food trucks and restaurants in the city. I tried the paratha w/ chicken curry and ordered it to go. The wait was a bit long, but I wasn't too bothered by that since it was a busy night. However, when I got home to enjoy my meal it wasn't what I was expecting. The chicken curry was mostly liquid and very little chicken. But the worst part about having little chicken was that the chicken pieces was mostly bone, and I only got a little bit of chicken from the bone. After tasting the curry there were so many bone fragments in there that I had to constantly spit them out while eating. I finally tried the paratha, I was feeling hopeful with the paratha because I really like paratha from other Indian restaurants I've been to. After trying the paratha, it was so hard to chew and I had to soak them on the curry just so they would have some softness. I knocked off 3 stars because of these issues, and gave 2 stars for the location, cheap prices, and ample items to choose from. This food truck has potential to be better, but I had a terrible first experience.

The people were extremely friendly and the food was reminiscent of what you'd find on the streets…read moreof India! The vada was perfect and the sambar complimented the flavors with richness and a great consistency. Masala dosa was great. The bhaji was my favorite I've had in years! I would heartily recommend this for anyone who wants an authentic experience with south asian cuisine and street food.

I suggest to order one of their salsitas with them. My favorite is the avocado ranch. Cuban sandwich is a must and if it's your first time here I think you need to order this. They get their bread from a bakery in Tampa so it has an authentic Cuban sandwich taste and texture. My last time in I ordered the Arroz con Pollo, really enjoyed the rice is spiced or cooked in a broth that makes it very delicious. Lechón asado is also a favorite. Ropa vieja the two times we've gotten has been a little dry for our taste. Mojitos are also delicious and it's fun to end the meal with a Cuban coffee.

Havana's Cuisine is a quaint little restaurant in the CWE serving authentic Cuban cuisine. We had…read moreseen some reviews mentioning longer wait times, so we went in expecting things to take a while, but that wasn't our experience at all! We arrived around 5:30 on a Friday night, were seated right away, and our food came out surprisingly quickly. There were only a few tables occupied when we arrived, but by the time we left, the restaurant was packed with only one table still open! We started with the empanadas and tried the beef & cheese and chorizo. The beef & cheese empanadas were amazing -- perfectly crispy and crunchy on the outside with a delicious filling. The chorizo wasn't our favorite because it was very greasy, and unfortunately the grease overpowered most of the other flavors. We also tried the Tostones Salsosos, which were good and much larger than we expected! For our entrées, we ordered the Tampa Cuban sandwich with yucca, and we were blown away by the size of the sandwich! It was massive, flavorful, and definitely a generous portion. The yucca on the side was good as well. But the ropa vieja was the star of the show! Every bite was packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. We added a side of Congri rice, which was also incredibly flavorful and robust and paired perfectly with it. Overall, we had a great experience. Quick service, generous portions, authentic Cuban flavors, and several dishes we would absolutely order again. The ropa vieja and beef & cheese empanadas are must-tries!
