The cutest little place! I had no idea it was here. But I'm glad I stopped in. I have since been to their location in central West End. I like this one better because there is a larger parking lot. The central West End location is just street parking. However, I'm obsessed with açai bowls! And these are so good And they are also so pretty to photograph! There are so many options and they are very low calorie. And they are bigger than they look. Definitely filling . We heart Rush Bowls! Ever since this little spot popped up a few years back, we've always made a point to pay Rush Bowls a visit when we're back in Kirkwood. The first time we came here, we were coming to visit the Starbucks next door when we saw the sign and decided to give it a try. It's bright inside with a large, easy to read menu hanging above. You can't currently eat indoors, which was not an issue for us but something to note. I've ordered both the power bowl and berry fresh, and they are equally fantastic! The power bowl is a great option if you're stopping by post-workout since they incorporate whey protein in the base of the bowl. It's topped with granola, honey, and one additional topping of your choice. They have tons of toppings to choose from including strawberries, almonds, chia seeds, peanut butter, and even nutella! My husband can't get enough of the PB&J bowl which consists of banana, strawberry, peanut butter, Milk, and frozen yogurt. It's then topped with granola, honey, peanut butter, and jelly! Yes, it's as amazing as it sounds. I love that they have seasonal bowls as well, like apple pie and peach cobbler specials! me and my friends went here to get açaí bowls, the guy was not letting us choose what we wanted in the bowl and started putting things we didn't ask for in the bowl. Rush Bowls, like another reviewer had mentioned, is like the next level Jamba Juice. They have a large variety of bowl and smoothie options but the bowls don't come with all the toppings. In comparison to Jamba, where you can get a fully-loaded açai (or other variety) bowl complete with fresh fruit toppings and granola, Rush offers a bowl topped with granola and honey only. If you are like myself and prefer the fresh fruit toppings, you will end up paying almost 3 times as much for your bowl. And the size? Not really much bigger than what you can get from Jamba for slightly over $6. My legendary bowl, which I am guessing is their traditional açai topped with starwberries, banana slices, almonds and coconut came up to a whopping $16! My bowl from Jamba Juice with the toppings mentioned previously was still only slightly over $6. As far as taste and quality, I also prefer Jamba Juice's bowl better. The frozen things from Rush was slightly slimy. I'm not sure what that was about but the strange texture was very noticeable. I took my bowl home. It was overfilled and a bit sticky from the honey that got all over the bowl and the lid. Perhaps they should consider not overfilling the bowl with the frozen ingredients especially if toppings are added. The toppings, for being the source of the majority of my highly priced bowl, were also minimal compared to what I normally get elsewhere. Maybe consider a better ratio for ingredients? Overall, the place was nice and clean. The staff were nice and helpful. They have a couple of tall tables inside if you want to enjoy your bowl there, but otherwise, not really much room for big parties. Their menu is quite extensive but you do pay quite a bit unless you want a simple bowl. In that case, I recommend perhaps just getting a smoothie! I love the concept and the options but I'm not sure I'd choose this place over another option equidistant to my house. read more

This store specifically my half went to the store because it is close to the house and he was on his way home and he was going to Suprise me. He got me the High tide smoothie bowl, when he ordered it the female working put mango into the bowl and made a look of I messed up. My boyfriend stated I dont think mango goes in that right ? She laughed at him along with the other teenagers in the store and proceeded to make the bowl with the wrong ingredients instead of just making a new one. I came here with a coupon and it was such a refreshing treat after dinner. I ordered the Berry Fresh bowl with blueberry, strawberry, raspberry juice, frozen yogurt, topped with their AMAZING crunchy organic granola and drizzled with honey. The kids bowls come with colorful sprinkles on top too which is a nice fun touch. Rush had one person working so service was pretty slow and he had his friends visiting him which slowed down the process even more. However please take note: many of the bowls do not include toppings---you must order them as an extra (which is an additional charge). This is great for customization, but a little frustrating since most of the delicious pictures you see everywhere does not represent the base menu item. Avoid at all cost. Service here is horrendous. This site in desperate need of hands on owner or management. No one here cares. I have been coming to Kirkwood Rush bowls off and on since its opening. And while I generally enjoy the bowls there the service has continually slid to an unacceptable level. Just walked out of the store without ordering. Stood at the counter 7 minutes without ever being acknowledged. 3 workers in the store - 2 customers, no excuse for this. Last time there more if the same. That time I at least got to eat. But same thing. 3 people working (and I use that term loosely) and 1 customer ahead of me. Took forever, horrible attitudes. 2 staff members stood at the back side of the counter, using their cell phones, talking, had backpacks, water bottles and friends visiting. Looked more like a high school lunch hour that place of business. That time when I finally ordered there was much discussion on how to make a standard off the menu item. Was obviously they were doubling the ingredients so that they could eat the extra. In that visit every table was dirty as was the floor and surroundings. Looked like it hadn't been swept in days. There were three workers all who had time to chat and text but no one had enough time to wipe down a table even when I was only customer there. Have probably had 6 or 7 experiences like this there. After discovering Nordstrom does Açaí Bowls ($8 including toppings!!!! Honey, granola, bananas, strawberries and blue berry's.... rush bowls could never) I took my cousin here from Malibu, California since she wanted Açaí. I was embarrassed after she told me it wasn't a real one and Nordstrom had better presentation and customer service. I wish I took a picture of the bowl but it was just slapped in the bowl with some granola on top. If you want a good açaí bowl worth you're money this place is definitely NOT it. The perfect quick and healthy breakfast, lunch, or even dinner. There are lots of green options and the menu items are totally customizable with added protein, toppings, and fruits. They also have seasonal bowls which are fun to try. I usually stick with the high veggie green bowls and always feel refreshed and not weighed down after enjoying. Ordered online and arrived a few minutes before they closed. The woman inside was making our bowls. When we walked into the restaurant she was silent. We stood off to the side while she finished up. She walked over to the register still no words then gave the biggest eye roll seeming to say "what do you want" we said online order and she grabbed the bag and shoved it at us.
