The staff was friendly and genuine, they explained the food options extremely thorough. Every dish was fresh and delicious. Went around 2PM and they had an impeccably gorgeous display and selection of vegetable dishes with a balance of well prepared protein options. I would say it's well rounded in food choices, they also serve beer if you are 21 or older. The seafood is also exceptional, we ordered a LB of crablegs at a manageable price. I would have to say "highly Recommended" for the crab legs, some of the best in town! The staff will even give you a crab leg cracking tutorial, they are awesome! read more

Do not waste your money! We had been wanting to try out juicy buffet because (who we thought were) the owners used to own another Chinese buffet in Mishawaka (that's a different review). We received a flyer in the mail with a coupon for two Sunday buffets for a reasonable amount of money. When we stepped inside, appear clean, clean tables decor was OK. Went and got our drinks, got our table went up to the buffet and we're sorely disappointed They had a little salad bar with some lettuce and cheese and croutons and some what I think we're shredded carrots but they were brown. A little bit of Jell-O and pudding were also on the salad bar. Then we come to the hot food. Most of it was not hot. They had what I believe were muscles with big chunks of potato. There was something like maybe pork and peppers in this gray looking sauce. They had two pots of black beans. The barbecued winglets were cold . The garlic bread was so hard you couldn't eat it. They had some kind of frozen pepperoni pizza. The coconut chicken was very barely warm. The egg drop soup was mostly salt. We couldn't even tell what the other soup was The pan of mushrooms look like they were just in water with a little bit of butter floating on top, which you could tell were not hot because the butter was solidifying. The only two things that we felt safe eating (because they were hot) were the sweet-and-sour chicken, and the chicken strip (that I'm sure were the ones that you can buy at Sam's Club in the frozen food section). Oh, and by the way, if you want frog legs or crab legs, it's an additional $19.99 per pound each In my opinion, this place needs to be shut down because the food temperature is a health safety violation. With the change to a buffet I was worried whether JC would still be a great place to eat. No worries, the seafood buffet is the best combo of well prepared food and affordablity. Plenty of shrimp options, seafood boil (including crawfish and clams), Chinese favorites, salads, fruit and soup. Beverage is included in the price of the buffet. The shrimp is firm and fresh unlike other places that use frozen shrimp. Good service and clean restrooms. Fun local joint. I was there a bit late so understandably the trays weren't refreshed as readily as they may be earlier in the evening. Most choices were on par with buffet food and I'd try them again. I rated them on the high side because of the cleanliness and friendliness and I'd like to see them succeed. The choices that you do get are pretty good however, there were a few misses such as the egg drop soup and egg foo young. My husband and I went for the first time yesterday. We were offered the buffet or the menu. We opted for the menu. The hostess handed us menus and said we needed to pay up front. Excuse me. I get paying for a buffet up front, but for a meal ordered off a menu? I never heard of such. We were not even offered an opportunity to sit down and look at the menu before being asked to pay. Went on a Friday at 4pm, when dinner was supposed to start. Most of the bins were empty, and when food was finally brought out, it was nothing I had expected from photos that were posted on the site. The only shrimp they had was chilled, no other shrimp dishes, no fried calamari or crawfish, which was posted in photos. No sweet and sour chicken, or coconut chicken. Some of the trays were practically empty, which told me I was looking at the lunch buffet, but they tacked on an extra $1 because it was after 4pm. I've heard it a million times, buffets are gross! The food is too cold! Too many people handling the food! Ok, some of these things may be true at some places. This does NOT include Juicy Buffet. We just had the most delightful experience here. From the kind, helpful staff to the well stocked delicious food on the extremely hot steam table, everything was on point. The decor is a kitschy mix of Asian and nautical. The restaurant is clean and inviting. The buffet includes all the usual Asian buffet items. The difference is this spread is leaps and bounds better in both taste and quality. They also have the option of various "boil combos." Several diners were enjoying that bagged dinner. We haven't tried that yet, but we did share a 1lb side of crab legs. They were the absolute best crab legs I have ever had! The seasoned garlic butter they were served in was incredible! Don't be afraid of the buffet. This one will not let you down...and don't forget the crab legs. read more

When this place first opened it was the best seafood boil I had ever had. They was doing so good they shut down for a couple months to add the Chinese buffet. Well fast forward a few months. Seafood was flavorless. Sauce has no flavor. Just yellow oil not butter or garlic. I tried to ask for some seasoning to make it taste like something, and not yo sound rude but I talked to 7 people and none of them could understand English. They just kept going and getting someone else. After two bites my wife and I left and went next door to eat. Sad. This used to be the best seafood boil around but I'll never go back. read more

The sidewalk handicap ramp has too big of a gap to accomodate a wheelchair. Had to pull her up backwards. Once inside the dining room was spacious, however the restroom is too small to accomodate her chair. The staff was friendly and helpful, and a credit to their business. We ordered buffets, no boil combos or extras. The food was good enough for lunch, however the selections were fewer than most, about half of Big Panda offers for the same price. We visited while we were out of town and there are no regrets. The food is amazing especially for the price. We left ridiculously full and happy. The staff are very friendly and fast. Just to clarify it isn't a seafood buffet although there is some seafood options in it. However, their seafood platters are very reasonable and delicious. It's a hidden gem for sure. read more

I have been here a few times and I really like this place. 15 bucks for all you can eat drinks included is a great deal especially considering inflation nowadays. The selection isn't as large as other buffets in the area but they make up for it by offering different items every so often. One time I went there they had amazing peanut butter chicken, another time I went there they had these buffalo chicken chimichangas that were very good. When I went there today after my visit to the potawatomi zoo they had these amazing BBQ ribs, Mac and cheese, and pork simmered in salsa verde which were all very good, the BBQ ribs tasted almost homemade. They also had typical Chinese buffet staples like general tsos chicken, fried wontons with cream cheese, and fried rice as well as a seafood boil with shrimp, sausage, and potatoes. I do wish they had more dessert options on the buffet but that they did have was very good. I also like how there's an option of getting crab legs or lobster tails for an additional fee but as expected they are relatively pricey and I don't recommend getting them if you're going alone but maybe in a group. All in all it's a pretty good place to grab a bite to eat and I like how they gave me a $2 off coupon so next time I go over I can just use that and get a discount.
