I can appreciate this local mom and pop shop for its quaint and simple ambiance. To me, Juicy Burger similar to going to a barbecue as you order and find a seat while the cook is cooking. There is a toppings and condiment bar for you to craft your own burger to your hearts desire. My burger was juicy and a bit soggy due to the juices dripping, so you know it's authentic. I was surprised how the cashier asked me how i wanted it to be cooked. Had just finished going to the Spring Seed share over at the park and it was lunch time. I hadn't had a burger in a while, but the open condiment bar was enticing from the pictures so we headed over. What a decision! The restaurant is on the edge of a random collection of shops (too bad there isn't a bookstore over there!) You walk in and the music is a collection of 70s pop and I immediately wanted to sing and dance along to the ABBA. There weren't a lot of people so that felt a little odd. But the condiment bar looked fresh and enticing with crisp lettuce and brightly colored tomatos. There was even a hand sanitizer in front of the bar to encourage folks to clean hands before using. The service was fast, and responsive and we just had to wait for our food and drinks. Soda is fulfilled by the people behind the counter (the only thing here was the soda didn't have that sharp delicious crispness but i fault the actual coke zero versus the restaurant. it's obvious they care about their ingredients). The fries came out first, and they were just right, not overly salted, crisp on the outside, and soft on the inside. Then the hamburgers came out and the bread was soft, and the medium burger was fantastic. Of course I piled on all the tasty condiments, jalepnos, lettuce, tomatoes, even banana peppers and lots of red onions. While we were there we did see more folks show up but not as many as I would expect based on the quality of the food here. if you enjoy a tasty burger with all the toppings, this is a fantastic gem of a place and well worth the trip! read more

They have inside and outside seating options. One unisex restroom. A self-serve condiments and fixings for your angus beef burger, chicken sandwich, steak sandwich, or hotdogs. It's been several years since I've eaten here, and I believe the ownership has changed. Juicy burger is located in the Chavez market shopping center next to Happy Lemon. There is plenty of parking in the front of the restaurant. I was warmly welcomed in by the manager and quickly glanced at the menu above. I decided to get the cheeseburger combo meal that included French fries and a drink. He asked me how I'd like my burger cooked. I let him know I would like it medium rare. I also let him know I wanted Diet Coke for my drink and he filled it up for me. He said he would let me know when the fries and burger were ready. I found a nice table to sit at. It still looks the same inside with plenty of seating options and outdoor seating as well. I got a straw, napkins and plastic ware at the self serve area. The whole meal is prepared right behind the counter so you know things are made fresh to order. My fries were ready first. I picked those up from the counter and helped myself to the ketchup. My burger was ready next. They have self serve condiment bar with fresh vegetable toppings and sauces for your burger. I helped myself self and added mustard, ketchup, lettuce, tomato and pickles. I also got some carrot sticks and olives on the side. I really liked being able to put my own toppings. You can put as much as you want. It's very clean and organized. They also have hand sanitizer you can use before and after using the tongs for adding toppings to your burger. My burger was fantastic. This was so delicious and fresh. My burger was cooked a perfect medium rare. I loved all the toppings I added to it. The French fries were hit and crispy and perfectly salted. My whole meal with fries and drink included was $15.19 including tax. The meal was very filling and worth the price. My meal was excellent service was great and everything was made fresh to order. Today, I'm in the South Bay Area. I've seen this more than a few times going down Blossom Hill Rd. late at Night. I'm here at Juicy Burger Tonight. I wanted to do something different today. Today, I got the Falafel Cheeseburger, Salmon Cheeseburger, Poutine Fries, Chicken Nuggets, and Jalapeño Poppers, with American Cheddar, and Swiss Cheese. There's nothing more All-American than a Cheeseburger. And I really like, how they got a Veggie and accoutrement Bar up, and I can just fix my own Cheeseburger to my liking, kinda different than similiar or other Shops, and there's a great selection, including Sauces. And wow, there's so much contrasting textures and flavors. But I think I like the Salmon Cheeseburger, more than the Falafel one. And I've had a lot of Poutine Fries in my days, but this is probably one of the best I've ever had. The Gravy isn't just regular Gravy, it's a deep, and savory Brown Mushroom Gravy. And the Chicken Nuggets, were like almost everything I wanted in a Chicken Nugget, nice and Crunchy. I gotta give them some points, for originality. I was thinking this was going to be a 3.7/3.8-4.3 stars, I can see this being a 4.4/4.5 stars on a good day, a really good day, but I give this 4.4 stars out of 5 stars. I enjoyed my meal. read more

I'm so glad we were in the area for dinner and I've always wanted to try this place. I was craving a burger all day and this definitely hit the spot! The restaurant is located in a shopping center and there was plenty of parking. The staff were friendly and the food was ready pretty quickly. There were happy diners already eating their burgers, and I was able to place my order immediately when I walked in. I ordered 2 burgers and a combo. It took about 15 minutes for my order since they cook it fresh on the grill in front of you. They have a condiment bar of sauces and vegetables. The burger quality was juicy, filling, and delicious. I liked the food here. It's not the most amazing, but it's actually comparable in taste to In-N-Out, which is really my litmus test for whether a burger is even worth eating. The space itself is clean and a little austere, with a clear view of the grilling station where everything looks cooked to order (that's a plus). They also ask how you'd like your burger done, to which the correct answer is "medium", although mine was medium-well to well-done. I appreciate the confidence to ask, as that means they believe in the quality of their beef. Any burger place that doesn't ask is not confident their ground beef is safe to consume at less than well-done, which basically means they have fast food quality ingredients. Yes, my beloved In-N-Out too. HOWEVER this does conflict with the fact they didn't cook my burger medium. Medium means a little pink inside, mine had not even a tinge. It was juicy and tender though, so I will give them somewhat of a pass on this. Anyway, I got the "Super Juicy Cheeseburger", which is $15 for a double cheeseburger with nothing else. I took advantage of their self-serve toppings bar to add a coating of thousand island dressing to the bun, and an overly-thick slice of red onion. And I ate about 5 pickles because in my mind, that makes the meal healthy. Overall - good burger. Cheese melted nice, it was juicy, properly seasoned. No complaints. I would prefer the onion cut a bit thinner, that's about all. $15 is a bit steep though, at that price I'd really like it cooked the way I want and to be bigger, although what would be perfect would be cooked the way I want for $10. Oh well. These are standard thickness burgers, not smashburgers nor steakhouse-style burgers. I also got the poutine fries, and I'll admit I've only had poutine once and it was not in Canada, so I am not much of an authority on whether it's authentic or not. But the fries soaked in beef gravy with cheese were tasty, quite messy to eat though (you need a fork). Also good. Overall, good food, a bit pricey, parking isn't bad, they take credit cards. Please note that they no longer sell milkshakes, or any type of sweet, so you'll need to get your sugar fix elsewhere. I'd come back if I was closeby and wanted a little more variety than In-N-Out offers. read more

There's soooo much to love about this small burger joint in the south of San Jose. When I'm looking to treat myself for a little bit pricier of a burger, this is my go to spot. The ambiance is basic inside, but on a good weather day the patio is very nice! With Burger Pit no more, let's all support local business and give this place a try. I did, and I had one of the best burgers I've had in years. The last memorable burger I can recall was Umami and prior to that was Barney's. They are both gourmet. This is not. If you've been to Fudruckers, this place sorta compares to them minus the arcade. Actually, this is way better because they cook their patty perfect. My photos don't do it justice. There is a nice char taste to these burgers. The inside is pink as I ordered mine medium. They are truly juicy as they should be. I also love how you can build it to your preference. I put a lot of onions, tomatoes and jalapeños. I ate 3 pickles. They're delicious and you can have more if you like. My order came out to be about $18 with tip. Not bad given today's prices! I hear that Five Guys can set you back $24 so I say this is my new go to burger place. read more

Clean dining area with space for everyone. Single bathroom, also clean. Plenty of parking spaces but the lot was filling up. Ordered a 1/4 lb burger, onion rings and fries. Burger had that char flavor and was still juicy, and you can add condiments and veggies at their veggie bar. Onion rings were just alright, small with a thick batter and thin onions. They cook 3 quarter pound patties and stack them in between buns. there's a "salad bar" type area where you can choose all your toppings! Pickles, peppers, mushrooms, onion, etc. Right next to that area is where all the sauce options are too! They have bbq, ranch, ketchup, mustard, thousand island, teriyaki, etc. we ordered the burger medium rare and it was cooked perfectly! And just like the name of the restaurant, they are indeed juicy. I haven't been to Juicy Burger in well over 20 years, if not more. After the food I ate tonight, we will be coming back sooner than later. The food tasted like it was just cooked on a backyard grill. I got the Super Juicy Burger and it was delicious. They ask you how you want your burger cooked and they cooked it to your specifications. My wife likes medium well and she loved that finally someone at a restaurant cooked her burger correctly. We also got the Curly Fries, Onion Rings and Fried Zucchini and they satisfied that guilty pleasure fried food craving. The services was over the top. Just Great customer service. It was just these two sweet ladies both working hard and making sure my order was exactly how I wanted. The complimentary pickles, olives, pepperchinis, and jalapeños was a nice touch. They also don't skimp on the toppings as they pile it on. There are lot of burger places opening up in the area. There is a lot of options. This place has been around since I was in high school. I graduated in 1997 so you do the math just don't remind me of my age..lol! Anyhow, yes been coming here since high school. I've seen management change hands several times but every time the concept has been consistent. They offer an all you can eat buffet of condiments and fresh veggies so you build your burger the way you like. They have chicken sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs and a whole list of appetizers to choose from. With this last change of management I noticed they added poutine. I've not tried it but reviews seem like a mix of likes and dislikes. So I guess that means you just gotta try it for yourself if poutine is your thing. The veggies are kept on ice so they remain fresh and I've never had an issue. Employees are always pleasant. Bathroom and restaurant is clean. I ordered a chili cheese dog which is your basic hot dog with chili. The portion was huge and it hit the spot. The employees always ask if you want additional toppings which is a great add on but I always only ask for an extra spoon of chili and it has never been an issue. Hubby ordered the Juicy Burger and had nothing but good things to say. The topping bar is filled with so many veggies and condiments. The staff have to put it all on for you which is not a problem. In fact, they are not stingy with their toppings. The only downside with them doing it for you is that it slows down the assembly line. We also ordered a side of onion rings and they were crisp to perfection. I've only ever tried soggy onion rings and these were the exception. I highly recommend checking out Juicy Burger.
