That's supposed to be medium rare.

Juicy Burger is usually on point with cooking your sando or burger how you requested. I ordered 2 steak sandos. One medium and one medium rare. Both were well done and hard to chew. I know the steaks were thin but not sure if they switched it up to a thinner cut. I hope it's just a one off on my order! Everything else was good as usual!

It's been several years since I've eaten here, and I believe the ownership has changed. Juicy burger is located in the Chavez market shopping center next to Happy Lemon. There is plenty of parking in the front of the restaurant. I was warmly welcomed in by the manager and quickly glanced at the menu above. I decided to get the cheeseburger combo meal that included French fries and a drink. He asked me how I'd like my burger cooked. I let him know I would like it medium rare. I also let him know I wanted Diet Coke for my drink and he filled it up for me. He said he would let me know when the fries and burger were ready. I found a nice table to sit at. It still looks the same inside with plenty of seating options and outdoor seating as well. I got a straw, napkins and plastic ware at the self serve area. The whole meal is prepared right behind the counter so you know things are made fresh to order. My fries were ready first. I picked those up from the counter and helped myself to the ketchup. My burger was ready next. They have self serve condiment bar with fresh vegetable toppings and sauces for your burger. I helped myself self and added mustard, ketchup, lettuce, tomato and pickles. I also got some carrot sticks and olives on the side. I really liked being able to put my own toppings. You can put as much as you want. It's very clean and organized. They also have hand sanitizer you can use before and after using the tongs for adding toppings to your burger. My burger was fantastic. This was so delicious and fresh. My burger was cooked a perfect medium rare. I loved all the toppings I added to it. The French fries were hit and crispy and perfectly salted. My whole meal with fries and drink included was $15.19 including tax. The meal was very filling and worth the price. My meal was excellent service was great and everything was made fresh to order. You really can't beat that! I highly recommend trying this place out if you're craving a delicious burger. I am very happy to support a local business like this. I will definitely be back.

I'm so glad we were in the area for dinner and I've always wanted to try this place. I was craving a burger all day and this definitely hit the spot! The restaurant is located in a shopping center and there was plenty of parking. The staff were friendly and the food was ready pretty quickly. I just loved seeing the condiment bar and being able to choose endless topping combinations! The burger was oh so juicy and cooked really well! The fries were a nice touch with the various sauces. Definitely recommended this local joint for your next burger fix!

Today, I'm in the South Bay Area. I've seen this more than a few times going down Blossom Hill Rd. late at Night. I'm here at Juicy Burger Tonight. I wanted to do something different today. Today, I got the Falafel Cheeseburger, Salmon Cheeseburger, Poutine Fries, Chicken Nuggets, and Jalapeño Poppers, with American Cheddar, and Swiss Cheese. There's nothing more All-American than a Cheeseburger. And I really like, how they got a Veggie and accoutrement Bar up, and I can just fix my own Cheeseburger to my liking, kinda different than similiar or other Shops, and there's a great selection, including Sauces. And wow, there's so much contrasting textures and flavors. But I think I like the Salmon Cheeseburger, more than the Falafel one. And I've had a lot of Poutine Fries in my days, but this is probably one of the best I've ever had. The Gravy isn't just regular Gravy, it's a deep, and savory Brown Mushroom Gravy. And the Chicken Nuggets, were like almost everything I wanted in a Chicken Nugget, nice and Crunchy. I gotta give them some points, for originality. I was thinking this was going to be a 3.7/3.8-4.3 stars, I can see this being a 4.4/4.5 stars on a good day, a really good day, but I give this 4.4 stars out of 5 stars. I enjoyed my meal.

Got some lunch for the family! The prices are above average compared to other burger places, but support family businesses! It's right next to happy lemon and has lots of parking. There were happy diners already eating their burgers, and I was able to place my order immediately when I walked in. I ordered 2 burgers and a combo. It took about 15 minutes for my order since they cook it fresh on the grill in front of you. They have a condiment bar of sauces and vegetables. The burger quality was juicy, filling, and delicious. My mom and sister were happy, so that's a win for me! The fries were salted to perfection and crispy. Would come here again to try other burgers!

Love that they cook the burger to order and they have a well stocked salad/condiment bar so you can pick your own burger toppings. The burger was "juicy" and cooked perfectly. I also loved the dinner feel inside. Owner was there and super friendly.

Simple, delicious burgers with a DIY toppings customization feature. Food: 1/3 pounder super juicy cheeseburger 5/5 As classic as a burger can get! Since you add your own toppings to the burger, you get to adjust the burger to your favorite flavors. The patty is also pretty thick for the price and the cook lets you choose how you'd like your patty to be cooked. The cooks are accurate when cooking the patty so trust that your request for rare, medium rare, well done will be done well. Freshly fried fries 5/5 Lightly salted fries that are perfectly fried. These fries are a solid staple that go perfectly with your burger. Fountain machine lemonade 2/5 The lemonade tastes like the nozzle isn't clean and tastes powdery so that was kind of a miss for me but other than that, the meal was great! Service: Fast Ambiance: Not many decorations, what you see is what you get but that's really part of the charm! It's a straightforward restaurant with straightforward quality with not too fancy but delicious food.

Food was amazing !! Can't wait to go again first time ever! Definitely love the place very cute and hidden gem

I may have found my go to burger place in the South San Jose Area! As the name of the restaurant, the burgers are nice and Juicy! The Super juicy cheese burger is a 1/2lb (two 1/4lb patties w/ 2 slices of cheese) that is plain and simple; The patties are cooked to what you request. Toppings are located on the side for you to build your own burger! Service was fairly quick and the workers were nice and friendly.

There's soooo much to love about this small burger joint in the south of San Jose. When I'm looking to treat myself for a little bit pricier of a burger, this is my go to spot. The ambiance is basic inside, but on a good weather day the patio is very nice! Delicious grilled angus beef patties, high quality taste and your freedom to build your own burger, which just adds to the experience you get here. The two ladies who are always here welcome each guest and do their job efficiently. I wish there were more Juicy Burger's in the world, this place ROCKS. Trust me and go here, try for yourself

    So over priced

I guess they changed ownership. This food is garbage. It's terrible. This place used to be really good. Now they cut corners completely terrible food.

With Burger Pit no more, let's all support local business and give this place a try. I did, and I had one of the best burgers I've had in years. The last memorable burger I can recall was Umami and prior to that was Barney's. They are both gourmet. This is not. If you've been to Fudruckers, this place sorta compares to them minus the arcade. Actually, this is way better because they cook their patty perfect. My photos don't do it justice. There is a nice char taste to these burgers. The inside is pink as I ordered mine medium. They are truly juicy as they should be. I also love how you can build it to your preference. I put a lot of onions, tomatoes and jalapeños. I ate 3 pickles. They're delicious and you can have more if you like. My order came out to be about $18 with tip. Not bad given today's prices! I hear that Five Guys can set you back $24 so I say this is my new go to burger place.

I LOVE YOU JUICY BURGER! :D I have been enjoying burgers from this spot for years and it may have changed a lot but the food has only continued to get better! That is a very rare quality. The interior was recently upgraded and not only looks great but the room was spotless. I even arrived later in the day and yet the food was made to order and all of the ingredients were fresh. Now that's what I'm I'm looking for when I want real honest food, JUICY burger is exactly how I would describe it. The tender meat had flavor and the wide variety of sauces will guarantee everyone gets what they like. I'm very thankful for this very genuine gem. If you are looking for a wholesome burger and fries experience where the staff is welcoming and the food comes out perfect every time then I suggest you give this spot a try ASAP!!

Fellow Blossom Valley Yelpers, we didn't lose a BBQ spot! Armadillo Willy's on Santa Teresa Blvd…read moreclosed down, but someone revived the place! In short, it's an upgrade. FOOD (Brisket and St. Louis-Style Ribs) I got the brisket and asked for it to be fatty. It was as good as some Texas brisket, and I don't give that comparison lightly. I'm very serious about Texas BBQ. I'm also realistic because Texas-level BBQ is achievable by Californians, but only if they put the time and love into it. Currently (07-24-2026), this brisket has it. The true test is whether it still has it in July 2027. I also had the St. Louis-style barbecue ribs. I wouldn't give them the Texas star of approval, but they're upper-tier California barbecue. That's very respectable, in my opinion. My sides were Caesar salad and coleslaw. Both were fresh and held up to what you want and expect from both. The coleslaw has that expected sweetness, and the salad didn't have a single wilted lettuce leaf. The general feeling I got from Empire BBQ was that they have a strong food-handling system in place. Having fresh salad leaves is a small but sure sign of that. DESSERTS Under the radar, this place is killing it with its dessert selection. Whoever put together the dessert menu must've had fun doing it. I didn't have room to eat any, but boy do I plan to. I won't comment on them, but I added photos of each one, minus their bread pudding which wasn't in the display case. SERVICE Excellent, helpful, and kind. The person who helped me was knowledgeable about the ingredients used and the pricing, making sure I got what I wanted in a way that made sense with the meat combinations and sides. Even the chef went and checked the ingredients so one of my questions could be answered. AMBIANCE I came at around 1 p.m. on Friday, and it was a great setting to watch sports, hear old rock music in the background, and take in the BBQ smells. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I give Empire Armadillo BBQ 5 stars. This is a must-try, with so many more menu items (especially the desserts) that I look forward to trying!

I really wanted to love this - we'd been to Armadillo Willy's many times over the years, and I love…read morenothing more than good Jewish deli action... but this ain't it. Service was completely overwhelmed on Sunday (Father's Day) and it took a long time to order and then a very long time to get our food. They ran out of fries (wha?) and the cashier said we could get sweet potato fries instead, but didn't mention the upcharge until I asked. Gee, thanks. I'll jump right to the food though. I love pastrami and I love corned beef. I had checked out the photos here on Yelp before we went, and it looked like it had potential. I don't know what went wrong on our visit. I got the Fresser, which has both of those meats. My sandwich did indeed have two meats on it, but both were incredibly bland. One meat - I think maybe the corned beef? - was sliced paper thin (which can be fine - my beloved Manny's Deli in Chicago does it thin) - but this was for some reason then griddled? It was SO DRY - kiddo remarked it was crispier than the bacon we had at breakfast. No flavor to it at all either. The other meat was a little thicker, and so it was juicer, but if it was the pastrami, I apparently didn't get any slices which had the pastrami seasoning on it. The portions were also skimpy. The kitchen was completely slammed and tables sat with empty plates on them for most of our meal (which was really annoying as folks were moving them from table to table to try to clear spots for their groups). All in all, I should've just waited for a lunch at Gunther's to fill that pastrami need!

While I do love just about any and every type of food, there's always been something about a good deli sandwich that brings me back to childhood and my uncle's old delicatessen. I've even gone so far as to institute a "Sandwich Friday" for our weekday dinners, and as of late, we've been going to Zanotto's Willow Glen, as it's on my route home from work, but the other day we changed things up and came to the Sandwich Mill--and boy, I'd forgotten how great this place is! But to keep things fair, I decided to do a sandwich-off and see whose sammy reigns supreme--allez cuisine! Bread: This might be the most important part of the sammich, in my opinion, and The Mill beats the shit out of Zanotto's on this one. Their bread is so soft and fresh, like a pillow that's been in the dryer. While Zanotto's breads, despite how busy they always are, always seem old and stale. Also, The Mill has a croissant option! Winner: Sandwich Mill Toppings: Pretty standard across the board, as both have a variety of mustard, sauces, and the usual cavalcade of classic sammy toppings (e.g., pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, etc.). Winner: Draw Meat: Zanotto's has a larger selection of deli meats, including prosciutto, but The Mill has Italian sausage and meatballs. Winner: Draw Cheese: The Mill just has a small handful of classic cheeses to choose from, while Zanotto's has a bevy of classics as well as some exotic stuff like Hatch Chili Cheddar, Smoky Cheddar, and Horseradish Cheddar, to name a few. Winner: Zanotto's Ordering: Zanotto's doesn't have an online portal, unless you use DoorDash, but then it only connects to the Rose Garden location, which is way across town for us Cambrian residents. Plus, DD equals paying extra $, while The Mill has a really easy-to-use website where the price you see is what you'd pay in-store. Winner: The Sandwich Mill Accouterments: Zanotto's has a whole grocery store of stuff you can buy, including beer and a giant selection of crisps. While The Mill only has a small selection of crisps. Winner: Zanotto's Price: Zanotto's sandwiches are $14/ea, while you can get a regular for $10 or a large for $14 at The Mill. Pro Tip: If you like wraps, The Mill's wraps are easily twice the size of Zanotto's and for $5 less! Winner: The Sandwich Mill Ambiance: Zanotto's parking lot sucks and it sometimes takes forever--especially on weekends!--to get your sandwich thanks to their lack of online ordering. At The Mill you place your order online and by the time you arrive it's ready for you. Easy in. Easy out. Winner: The Sandwich Mill **DING DING DING DING** Conclusion: It was a tough battle, but The Mill comes out on top with a decisive final score of 4-2-2. While Zanotto's is still a damn, fine place to get a sammy, I think we'll stick to The Mill from now on.
