Bacon breakfast burrito! Love that they give 2 sauces; green and orange.
    Isabel S.

Love it here! The food, the coffee and the aesthetic. The bacon burrito is my go-to. Never disappoints. Both sauces go crazy. Of course, gotta have my lil sweet treat. The iced Vienna latte is real cute. Service is quick. Staff are always checking on folks.

Came around 1pm on Sat morning, there was a bit of a line and a worker estimated 20-25 min wait from the breakoff point where u start lining up down the ramp. We actually got in 15 mins as alot of people also just want to to-go order and they seem to work efficiently here. Ordered the bacon breakfast burrito sub chicken this time instead of getting the birria. The birra was good last time but a bit oily but understandable as it is birria! This burrito was not oil and i loved the crunchy hash/cheese inside? I wonder if they do without meat. I like the salas! Also tried the nutella french toast and it was soo tasty! U dont even need the maple syrup. And it wasnt too sweet or too much nutella either, just right. Their coffee is really good from saint franks, made with house made almondmilk?! Yes please! Overall a great experience and happy this spot exists!

Part of me didn't want to write this review because I loved Morning Lobby so much and I'd have to wait longer if y'all all start showing up, cause it's literally so good and worth the wait. Note: This review is written based on two visits. You stand in line outside with some shady umbrellas, the staff is kind and attentive, giving you a menu so by the time you get to the counter you are ready to place your order. It's very efficient, you place the order, get a number, find a table either inside or outside, both very beautiful settings with intentional decor. It's a place you'd want to take a date, a friend or family, it's just so fabulous. I ordered the Matcha and Fried Mortadella Egg Sandwich the first time. I kid you not, one of the best bites I've had all year. The eggs were so fresh and orange, soft and fluffy, with some melty Provolone, some Dijon mayo and stacks of Mortadella. The balance of flavors were superb. The second time we went, I wanted to order everything off the menu and almost ordered the same sandwich again but I saw that they were known for their Bacon Breakfast Burritos. AGAIN, eggs fresh, orange, and fluffy, with crispy hashbrowns and bacon, along with some avocado. It was absolutely delicious and I can see why people enjoyed it so much. The sauce pairings were spicyyy, so use as you will but it really didn't need a whole lot to add to the already flavorful burrito. Curious about what the Birria Breakfast Burrito tastes like, perhaps next time. We also ended up getting the Nutella Banana French Toast which made me want to cry out of joy. I've only ever had basic French toast so this was otherworldly. The drinks are good, but I will keep coming back for the foooood! Food took about 10-15 minutes which was so fast for a popular brunch spot but perhaps the long line is where most of the wait is depending on time of day.

Oil that came out after 2 bites "no it's not juice, it's oil"

Morning lobby: I really really wanted to like this place especially after seeing so many great photos and reading positive reviews. Unfortunately they fell way flat. They take your order at counter, self serve seating. They have inside and outside seating, we sat outside "traffic is super noisy" recommend sitting inside. The inside looks... well.... For lack of a better word..... sterile. I ordered the Birria burrito: The size was average, I felt it was overpriced for what they give you. The burrito was Super, SUPER oily, I mean, Exxon Valdez oily "see pictures" and its flavor I found lacking $17.00 2 stars. Salmon with scrambled egg: I felt that the salmon and egg toast was priced way better than the Birria burrito. While it looked amazing, the Salmon tasted fishy, old, and parts of the toast was rock hard $17.50 2 stars. Tatter tots: The Tots IMO were very good, not oily at all and a $6.50 price point I felt was a reasonable price, 4 stars. Double espresso: Bitter but not in a good way, the taste was weak "not rich" no body at all $4.50 2 stars tops. Total bill for said items $50.05 tip not included.

Cute brunch spot in an unassuming location! Even though it's right on a busy road, they did a good job creating a separation and taking you out of the area. I came on a weekday morning and was glad I did because there was a very short line, unlike all the pictures I saw on Yelp. There were only a few people in front of me and the line moved very quickly. Two of us ordered the Bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich, Birria breakfast burrito, and Blueberry mascarpone toast to share. This was plenty of food, but we really wanted to try a variety from the menu. The burrito was loaded up with meat and avocado, something I'd usually be thrilled by, but there weren't a lot of eggs or tots, so it was a little rich. Still good though, and based on pictures of the burritos, not usually the norm. The breakfast sandwich was fine, but I'd choose the burrito over it. And the toast was good, but definitely more of an accompaniment than a meal. They had plenty of seating inside and outside on the covered porch on the side side and in the front. We opted to sit in the front because it was a little quieter (less people talking).

My party of 4 checked out Morning Lobby a year after their debut. There has been lots of hype on social media, so we were excited to finally dine there. WAIT & ORDER Upon arrival, there was a line outside, but the wait was less than 15 minutes. A staff member was working to ensure available tables were ready for patrons. There's a waiting couch/sofa inside as a queue before being asked to come to the counter to order and receive a table number. Everything was organized. DINE After ordering, we sat at the four-top table that was turned around. It was located in the covered patio area outside, which is really spacious compared to the limited main dining area. There are also tables at the front of the restaurant. Kudos for making good use of their space! FOOD & DRINKS They have a proper coffee bar, so I was excited to order a drink. The menu is fun, with seasonal drinks displayed. The coffee beans are fresh and tasty. They make fresh almond milk in house, which I subbed for my iced vanilla latte. - Iced Vanilla Latte with Almond Milk - Iced Matcha - Iced Vienna Latte The food we ordered was tasty and presented well: - Breakfast Burrito Birria - Breakfast Sandwich: bacon, eggs, and cheese - Protein Bowl: cottage cheese, avocado, and scrambled eggs I ordered the protein bowl, and it was delicious. There was some sort of salsa dressing over the eggs, but I wish they had provided more on the side. It was tasty, but for patrons wanting a more saucy morning, there should be an option for that. I did grab a Yellow Bird sriracha, and it was a perfect complement to the eggs. Overall, very cute and cozy space. The food is fresh and tasty. The coffee and other drinks are well prepared and delicious. A good fast-casual brunch spot to visit. I'll be back to try more items from the menu!

This is my third time here since their opening so clearly it's a favorite of mine. I've tried a few of their items: birria burrito, breakfast sandwich, fried mortadella, lox toast, Mont Blanc, and a few of the seasonal drinks like this pictured birthday cake lattes. Nothing has disappointed! Dining in can get a little tough with bigger parties especially later in the morning but we've dined in with 2 and only waited a short bit for a table.

Ofc I had to come back here! This is our favorite brunch spot from now on. As usual I got their breakfast burrito, soo delicious and perfect breakfast to start your day. I also got their Vienna coffee was so good. We went on Thursday morning which wasn't that bad and we seated fast.

This is such a cute and chic breakfast spot that feels upscale as if you're in some fancy city. Decor is very soothing and modern, including the bathroom. There is indoor and outside covered seating. I tried the protein bowl and it was delicious and filling. It can get quite busy even on a weekday. Free parking is available in a plaza. Food comes out quickly and the waiters are responsive and nice.

Fried mortadella & apple pie matcha (seasonal)
    Lindsay C.

There is one thing that keeps bringing me back to this place and it's the fried mortadella sandwich! The bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich and sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich are also pretty good but be sure to get the spicy house aioli on the side if you have littles. The drinks while beautiful but I find are all very mid. The iced mont blanc and apple matcha latte (seasonal) were all very mild tasting drinks. Personally not sweet enough for me nor where there any contrasting flavors shining in the drinks. I added a bit more sweetner but it didn't work for me. Get in line and order and pay and they bring your food out to you. The interior is a beautiful European style cafe but very few seats inside. There is plenty of outdoor seating and best of all opens at 7am. If you have littles you know they are up early. I was chatting with many other parents with kids at 8am. Great brunch spot just with the drinks were a little better.

    Ricotta scramble
    Vivian H.

I went here with a friend and was pleasantly surprised that there is new aesthetic brunchy spot in south sj, especially in this plaza! It took over yogurtland in the corner spot, which is honestly pretty good considering the line that wraps around it anyways we got there Labor Day around 930 and we waited about 40 minutes to get a table. Decor inside was pretty cute, with muted colors and wooden accents. We ordered up front at the cashier first, they gave us a number and and we were able to sit at the high top table inside, but facing the outside patio. Our food came out relatively fast! For drinks, we got orange juice and a hot matcha latte with a cream top. They were both fantastic For our food, we shared the ricotta scramble, birria breakfast burrito, and a breakfast sandwich. Ricotta scramble on toast was light and fluffy, but needed a little something extra. I use the hot sauce they had on hand (I loved it so much, I went to the store and bought it!) The birria burrito was definitely a fave of ours! the sauces they included was an amazing pairing and the seasoned meat was perfect. the breakfast sandwich was also really good and I loved how cheesy and flavorful the eggs were. I definitely will come by again to try the rest of their offerings!

Pricey...but delicious! We came on a Monday morning (three day weekend) at 10AM. There was a line outside, but luckily a two-person opening, so we only waited 10 minutes or so. The inside is clean and modern, but also bustling. I saw someone with a laptop, but I'd definitely say that this restaurant is more sit down then leave, rather than a cafe to do work at. You order first at the kiosk, then they'll bring your food to your table. We got the birria breakfast burrito, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich, iced vienna latte, and hot vanilla latte. The service was pretty fast after we ordered, and there's also various different hot sauces at the sauce bar. Even though I'm not the biggest coffee person, I'll admit - the lattes were smooth, creamy, and flavorful. The real stars of the show, for me though, were the breakfast items! Firstly, for the sandwich, the eggs were cooked to perfection - soft and jammy, practically pillowy inside. And the caramelized onions were an AMAZING addition, literally elevating a regular breakfast sandwich. The burrito was also delicious. The birria was so tender and well seasoned, and the tots inside were coated in gooey cheese and sauce. An ideal breakfast bite! I honestly don't go out to too many breakfast spots in San Jose, but I would come back for the sandwich and burrito! Still on the pricier end, but a good breakfast treat every now and then :)

    Nutella french toast, birria burrito
    Angel N.

Visited Morning Lobby Cafe and ordered the raspberry matcha, Vienna latte, birria burrito, and Nutella French toast. The total was almost $50. The drinks were really cute and aesthetically pleasing. Had 2 customers ask what drinks I ordered while waiting for my food. However, taste was just okay. They were enjoyable enough, but nothing stood out or made me want to order them again. The birria burrito came with two different sauces, which was a nice touch. I'm a little on the fence about this dish because it was good overall, but the flavors felt pretty mild. Even after trying both sauces, I still felt like it was missing something. The Nutella French toast was tasty, but it's a fairly simple dish that's hard to get wrong. It satisfied my sweet tooth, but it wasn't particularly memorable. The highlight of the visit was definitely the service. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The ordering process was easy. They have paper menus you can browse while in line. You order at the counter, get handled a table number, and sit wherever you'd like, and they bring the food out to you. Will hand food to you for to go as well. There's a small, comfy seating area if you're waiting for to go orders. There is plenty of outdoor seating and some indoor seating as well. Overall, Morning Lobby Cafe is a cute spot with a nice atmosphere, especially for a girls' brunch, coffee date, or casual catch-up with friends. While I enjoyed the experience, the food and drinks didn't quite live up to the price for me. I'd come back if friends wanted to go, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to return.

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Enrique, who had such a warm and welcoming demeanor. We took a moment to look over the menu, and he quickly picked up that it was our first time. After we confirmed, he asked about our coffee preferences--strong, sweet, or somewhere in the middle--and walked us through the seasonal menu with some great suggestions. My wife ordered the iced lavender vanilla, and I went with the iced café carmelita. He also asked if we wanted food, so we tried the lemon blueberry loaf and a turkey avocado sandwich. Everything did not disappoint. The drinks were amazing--Enrique absolutely nailed the recommendations--and the turkey avocado sandwich was especially memorable. While our drinks were being made, we had some friendly small talk with the staff, which added to the experience. The overall vibe was great. The team was super friendly and attentive--when a line started forming, other staff jumped in right away to make sure no one was left waiting. A simple sandwich order at 9:20 is not ready until 9:45. Lesson learned, come at opening time and order all at once. Cortado & latte, 5/5. Hot, smooth, strong. Orchid acai bowl ($14, sub in mango for mulberry, add coconut dust): 5/5. so good. Palmetto superfoods is my go-to in the SJ area for acai bowls, this was better despite not as many topping options. Their bases are smoother and creamier, no ice crystals here. Also liked that the fruit was chopped smaller. BAE sandwich ($12): 4/5. good, but definitely not worth a 25 min wait. Textures, freshness were great, but it was missing salt/pepper & spices. The sauce helped, but still underwhelming given how good it looks. Recommend having salt & pepper packets & a bottle of hot sauce available to customers. Cinnamon roll ($5.75): as a cinnamon roll, 3/5. As a morning bun type thing, 4.5/5. This is a case of mistaken identity. It's got a slight crunch, light sweetness, fluffy (not dense). When I order a cinnamon roll, I'm more expecting decadent dessert-for-breakfast laden with sugar & butter, yknow? Loved their dining area, loved how beautifully presented all items were, loved how everything was served at optimal temperature (hot espresso, thoroughly warmed pastry, etc), loved the variety of menu items (I can get an acai bowl and bf can get a sandwich or pastry).
