Other reviews mention the same thing. They also replaced locally grown cilantro with cilantro grown in Mexico, without any note or explanation. Getting fresh, locally sourced food is literally the only reason we order from them. We had an order that was supposed to be delivered on Thanksgiving morning (that's what it said on their newsletter), but it arrived on Friday instead. When we contacted customer service, they gave defensive response that three minutes after we placed the order, the system updated to the "correct" delivery date, even though their newsletter said they don't deliver on that date. The response didn't actually address the lack of clarity about the delivery date. They even once included a slip of paper with someone else's name, phone number, and address. We're done with this place.

We enjoyed some hot bar items (delicious), some bakery items (scrumptious), and of course, grabbed hotel essentials for our stay, like water bottles and snacks. I didn't have much interaction with staff here, so can't speak on the service. There are lots of self-checkouts available. I'd say we ended up in this Whole Foods about 3-4 times in our 5-day stay. It was clean, organized, dependable, and for a Whole Foods in Seattle, reasonably priced.

Also a large pharmaceutical selection (non-prescription). Staff was very friendly - noticeably so. Sometimes I haven't finished the apples yet or know I won't want a certain item the following week, and I love that I can edit my order right on the website (instead of having to email or call). I do like going to shops and markets and picking out my own things, but experience has shown me that I just don't make enough time for that to actually have produce available in my kitchen every day/week. We love coming here and looking through all the shops, tasting the various food options available, looking at all the beautiful flowers that they're selling. And all the little gift ideas from all the vendors. Our favorite spot is to watch the seafood areas, throw fish around and chant while they do so. It's such a staple to see this in action when you're visiting Pike place market. Don't forget to look for all of the pigs in the market area. There's one that's hiding somewhere and then there's two that sit on the corner right in front of the fish market area. I always suggest going in hungry and just trying different foods from different areas because all the food there are a delicious. This small little area connects you down to the waterfront which has the aquarium. Beware of those stairs as they can get tiresome. But the view from the top of Pike place market down to the water is beautiful. There is not a spot that you cannot capture a beautiful site.

Yet alcohol wasn't on my agenda. What I did find was a few bakery items, breakfast burritos looked worth a try, and this was my first attempt to healthy sodas and fresh squeezed juices. Appreciated a staff that guarded the front entrance for safety and security. The cashier offered me to join and become a member. Membership fee was a bit high, although if I return more often, it might be a better investment. Almost all businesses in Capital Hill cater to the LGBT community, you will see rainbow flags flying at store fronts. Seattle is such an inclusive and diverse city.
