Getting fresh, locally sourced food is literally the only reason we order from them. We had an order that was supposed to be delivered on Thanksgiving morning (that's what it said on their newsletter), but it arrived on Friday instead. When we contacted customer service, they gave defensive response that three minutes after we placed the order, the system updated to the "correct" delivery date, even though their newsletter said they don't deliver on that date. The response didn't actually address the lack of clarity about the delivery date. They even once included a slip of paper with someone else's name, phone number, and address. We're done with this place.

We enjoyed some hot bar items (delicious), some bakery items (scrumptious), and of course, grabbed hotel essentials for our stay, like water bottles and snacks. I didn't have much interaction with staff here, so can't speak on the service. There are lots of self-checkouts available. I'd say we ended up in this Whole Foods about 3-4 times in our 5-day stay. It was clean, organized, dependable, and for a Whole Foods in Seattle, reasonably priced.

Sometimes I haven't finished the apples yet or know I won't want a certain item the following week, and I love that I can edit my order right on the website (instead of having to email or call). I do like going to shops and markets and picking out my own things, but experience has shown me that I just don't make enough time for that to actually have produce available in my kitchen every day/week. This way I get to discover new items, only have to decide on any substitutions I might want, and it shows up on my doorstep every Tuesday so I always have some (healthy!) food available at home without needing to go shopping. Prices are reasonable and it's easy to pick up souvenirs for friends. There are a wide variety of sundries available and most shops had airplane-friendly packaging. Also nearby is the famous gum wall (disgusting!) and the original Starbucks. Restrooms are plentiful although I found them to be a little unsavory in terms of cleanliness. The stall doors were also weirdly short? I'm a modest 5'3" and I found myself towering over them. Worth a stop if you're in the area. Very fun vibes.

Yet alcohol wasn't on my agenda. What I did find was a few bakery items, breakfast burritos looked worth a try, and this was my first attempt to healthy sodas and fresh squeezed juices. Appreciated a staff that guarded the front entrance for safety and security. The cashier offered me to join and become a member. Membership fee was a bit high, although if I return more often, it might be a better investment. Almost all businesses in Capital Hill cater to the LGBT community, you will see rainbow flags flying at store fronts. Seattle is such an inclusive and diverse city.
