Love the decor/vibe. Milkshakes were good but expensive. Customer service was very slow but friendly. But my biggest problem is we ordered 3 milkshakes to go and then found out they don't have cups large enough for the milkshakes nor lids to fit the cups. So we received 6 plastic cups with 6 lids that didn't fit. It was a disaster trying to carry that home, especially with a toddler in tow. It would have been nice if they warned us about the cup issue when we requested them to go. We would have just gotten a scoop each and eaten it quickly. read more

Cute idea, could use some improvements. There was a slight line to which I felt like I was just on top of the people sitting down and in other people's way when they were trying to leave. There wasn't really any sense of order. I personally didn't think the two flavors I tried were any better than store bought and the experience wasn't great enough to be eager to come back. read more

This place is awesome! There's a lot of variety, and they even have alcohol infused ice cream if that's your thing! Total retro vibes once you walk in, and it's family/locally owned. All ice cream is made in house, free of dyes. Lots of gluten free options, and dairy free as well. Ice cream is so creamy! Will come back for sure! read more

I really hate having to do this but not an overall great experience for 1st visit. Took 45mins from time we arrived to time we got our ice cream. Ice cream was very good, and they had a LOT of yummy flavors. However they were also out of a lot of them and had no more waffle cones or bowls. The staff & owners were all extremely courteous & friendly but they did seem a little chaotic with their ordering process. Which is what really seemed to be the major issue J&JC has at the moment. At one point all the tables inside had cleared out, but the line was still out the door and we had barely moved in line. It was mildly comical to see one employee spray down and clean off every table, then moments later someone else came by and wiped them with a rag. One of the owners eventually helped expedite the line but it was also mildly annoying see the other owner seem more concerned with getting the juke box playing music, then he did with the getting customers moved through the line. He then proceeded to sit in a booth with customers he knew to talk with them while there was still a line to the door. As I said at the beginning I hate leaving a bad review but my hope is this is taken as constructive feedback. Figure out a way to expedite better and keep the line moving. There are far too many other options in the area. The flavors and great staff will only keep people coming back for so long, if they don't figure out how to move people through quicker. read more

My fiancé and I live right down the street and were so excited when we heard a place with boozy ice cream was coming to Braselton! Within the first week they opened we had them twice! It's SO good, a little pricey but worth it for the homemade taste. read more

We stopped by last night to try this place and throughly enjoyed the experience. The couple who owns the shop was so friendly and we talked like we'd known each other for years. They encouraged us to try samples to make sure we were happy with our choices. I love the 50s diner feel! The minute we walked in we felt like we were back in a different time. Adult orders are served in glass, instead of disposable containers. Great touch! The selection is amazing! Everything is made in house and is natural flavors, but they don't charge an arm and a leg for such quality items. Was excited to find a place that made their own ice cream not too far from our new home. However, the Chocolate Velvet (or what ever it was - I asked for something that was chocolate ice cream with nuts) didn't have a flavor that even remotely tasted like chocolate - and actually looked more like coffee or caramel. It had a strange aftertaste and I threw it away after eating part of it. I had my husband taste it and he agreed - could not taste chocolate at all. To be totally honest, afterwards we stopped at Culvers and I got a chocolate malt to get rid of the taste that was not going away and hated it too - hardly any flavor and a really weird gooey texture. Maybe it's a local preference - flavorless chocolate. Husband's hot fudge sundae with vanilla ice cream was OK - but they didn't put the chopped nuts on top like he asked. The hot fudge DID taste like chocolate. read more

My family and I decided to eat breakfast here and see Santa. It sounded like a fun idea but it was a terrible experience. We ordered two kids' waffles with ice cream. The staff was unequipped and unprepared to handle more than a few orders at a time. The frustrating part was that instead of being apologetic toward customers who were waiting a long time for food, the staff acted as if we were a burden. We waited around 25 minutes for drinks and an hour and a half for our food. We saw several people leaving which was smart of them. Our boys were excited to see Santa and they were starving so we waited. I am pretty sure they ran out of waffle mix as we saw someone bringing in some from the store. The staff never acknowledged that the food took so long and acted like it was nothing out of the ordinary. I worked in the food and beverage industry for a long time. It goes without saying that if you expect a large crowd you should be prepared with extra staff and plenty of food. read more
