    Nojito

Our appetizers were delicious. The grilled octopus was tender with grilled not burnt flavor. The lamb lollipops were so delicious but it was the flavor of the greens and "jelly" that made them so good. It was nice to share but these were not large portions suitable for sharing. The entree portions are small or maybe even what should be normal. I rarely can finish a meal. I always have leftovers. I was able to finish my salmon dish. I was hosted by friends. The wife had what I had. Her husband was very disappointed in his duck portion size. He commented that he was gonna have to eat a bowl of popcorn before bed. While I forget the name of the NOJITO, it was so very good. It was very fruity and didn't water down as the ice melted. Our server was Nev. she was friendly, helpful, and professional. This girl even had business cards!!

My friend recommended this restaurant since it was on the river and she had been there with friends for brunch. I had not been there before and was happy to try a new place. It was a bit of a hike from Great Falls in rush hour traffic and it was in Building 44 - I got lucky and parked in the right garage, but it was a bit confusing. Their website was helpful in getting there, although I was a bit annoyed that after spending $150 on dinner, I still had to pay parking - they didn't validate. Who doesn't validate in their own garage? Food (5/5): The food was solid - we shared the Brussel sprouts with bacon jam and they were so delicious. My friend had the mushroom risotto which was GF. I had the crab cakes and they were delicious although they were a bit expensive, given they didn't come with a side. Service (5/5): Our server was great - only downside was he didn't introduce himself so I didn't get his name. Ambiance (5/5): Beautiful restaurant. I could tell that it would be really nice during the day with the view.

I had a group brunch with my family here to celebrate my birthday in January. Mike Nurse was our waiter and took excellent care of our party. We were never left waiting or wanting for anything. The food was delicious and came out quickly from appetizers down to the desserts. Jula's has beautiful views as it overlooks the Potomac River and sits just south of Reagan National airport. For airplane watchers, you get a good view of the planes coming in for a landing. On warmer days there is also outdoor seating. And several areas to take great pictures. This was my second time visiting Jula's on the Potomac and I'm glad I chose it for my special birthday. It did not disappoint!

Charcuterie Service $35.00 REALLY?! Would you pay $35 for this?! Never again.

Bottom line front - you won't find a more beautiful view with exquisite menu options in the area. Service is sunburn and they know how to present! The food, flavor, and service are what you'd expect from a 5*. The food are cooked to order. The Drink menu is superb. With refreshing options and great flavors. And yes for your simpler folk the have bud light in frosty glasses. So for a bit of the elephant the prices, they are not cheep but the perception of value is there. I'm not a fan that if you decide you don't like vodka in a bloody marry they up charge you for whiskey. In this posters option whiskey is much better option for Bloody Mary. Recommend you allowing an option for vodka, tequila, and whiskey. The bloody marry is also not house made. I passed but your server and I had a good laugh about it. Drinks are very expensive!!! When we sat down before we opened the menus he offered to bring us hot biscuits...no they were not complimentary 6 biscuits at $5 a biscuit was a nice treat on the bill. Our server Quintin was awesome! Recommend him for sure. Polite professional and factual but more than willing to upsell so make sure you ASK What charges will be made for offers.

I will not return! The service was unacceptable and we never saw a manager!! We were so disappointed in how it was Not handled

They were not stingy with the truffle or flavor.

Nico was the most professional server I have ever experienced! He had a robust knowledge of the menu and ingredients and always referred to me with great respect. You definitely want him as your service provider when you visit . The octopus was the best I have had draped in olives and pickles onions. I truly want to return for that appetizer alone . The chocolate soufflé was rich, warm, ooey gooey, and decent . 564 truffle flat bread was screaming with flavor.

Jula's on the Potomac is definitely a must try. Made a reservation a few days before and went here on a Friday evening. Having delicious dinner while watching the gorgeous sunset al fresco was perfect. Ambience was casual. There is a slight difference in the bar/terrace menu from the inside seating menu. The bar/terrace menu does not have pork chops, ribeyes because we were told they could not bring out heavy portions outside with knives. Amethyst nojito was refreshing but I wouldn't say I am the biggest fan. The food was amazing. The crab dip and lamb lollipops were good starters. The sweet & sticky short ribs were so tender and flavorful. Honey fennel roasted duck was savory and flavorful. Hearty meals. Delicious. Tiramisu was alright. Our server Annie was sweet and tried her best to keep up but it was a busy night. As the night slowed down, she was able to give more attention to us. It got too cold for us dining outside as the chilly breeze blew; our request to move inside was accommodated. Would definitely recommend.

Jula's: food here was not good

Unimpressed. They recently had a new look and updated interior. But the food and service just not good enough to make this place special. 1. Reservation: necessary 2. The view: is probably their best asset, however, the view is of the water treatment facility isn't too helpful. 3. Food: 3 stars at best I would just say, meh. 4. Drinks: 3 stars Again, nothing special. 5. Service: pushy, slow and awkward. I really did not like it here. 6. parking and everything isn't too convenient either.

I've been to Jula's a few times for various reasons, like Happy Hour with colleagues, my husband took me for my birthday last year, and most recently - I took my close friend to celebrate her birthday. Each and every time I've been the food, service and ambience have consistently been top tier. With the layout of the restaurant, you can literally have the experience that you are hoping for - because they have a great variety of seating options! From a secluded and intimate booth option, to a table at the bar facing the terrace, or a seat next to the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the water! You can really add to the amazing food with the beautiful vibes. From my most recent visit, I had the Crab Bisque to start and the Creole Shrimp Linguine for my main. Both of which were 10/10 delicious. Looking forward to my next visit!

IMPECCABLE service, food, and ambiance! This was my first time coming with a group of friends and I have zero regrets. The decor is extremely aesthetic from the grass wall on the outside to the inside flower arrangements, you definitely get an upscale vibe. We decided to sit at the bar and our server, Jeremy, was extremely personable and very prompt. He also read the room well and made sure he came around during times where our conversations died down instead of interrupting our group which we greatly appreciated. Bre, who was also at the bar, was amazing! Her recommendations from drinks to food were SPOT ON. I even left with a dessert and to-go dish based on her recommendations, if she was selling a car I'd buy it lol. For food, I ordered the Wagyu Piggies in a Biscuit which were so delicious. I have a mustard allergy so I asked for that to be excluded and they were still super yummy! The crab dip was not the best I've had as the consistency was watery/soupy, but it was flavorful. I ordered the Creole Shrimp Pasta to go and it was PHENOMENAL! I ordered three of their cocktails-- (starts with an H) Lemonade, Tropical Mojito, and the Gran Paraniso. Each drink was great, and goes from the least strong to the most strong liquor-wise. My favorite of the three was the Lemonade, it's one of those as you drink it sneaks up on you type of drinks which I enjoy. I took the peach cheesecake to go and it was DELICIOUS! All desserts are made in-house and some change seasonally so I can't wait to come back to try other treats. My bill was around $115 which is such a great price for everything I ordered. I ordered off of their happy hour menu for the 3 drinks and the 2 food dishes. The creole shrimp pasta entree and cheesecake were from their dinner menu (which gives you an idea of how long we decided to stay there). Would I return? Most definitely!

Jula's is a solid choice! We love sitting outside, the views are gorgeous year round. The space is really well decorated with an elevated and relaxing atmosphere. I've only tried brunch (weekends only), and it was pretty good but nothing super memorable. I still think it's a great choice for a date or special occasion.

Ambiance is beautiful, our server Vet was great. Food was very hot and we tried a few things. Thoroughly enjoyed the mimosa flight as well. Notable recommendations the Bread Pudding French Toast and the Shrimp/Samon w/ Grits. Wouldn't get the charbroiled oysters again.

At first, you'll see what looks like just a pizza shop -- but if you head in and either use the side door or walk through and climb a set of stairs, you'll find the speakeasy upstairs. Very cool vibe: dark, cozy, and date-night ready. Drinks: 4/5 I ordered their take on an Old Fashioned, and it was definitely the highlight of the night but sweeter than I would have liked. They served it over a stamped solid block of ice (a small detail I ). My friend was abstaining from alcohol that night and asked for a non-alcoholic cocktail. To our surprise, they didn't just hand her a lemonade like most places -- they actually made her a crafted virgin drink, which she loved. Food: 3/5 We ordered fries and a slice of pepperoni pizza. The fries turned out to be waffle fries (not mentioned on the menu) and were overly crispy, so not really our favorite. The pizza was fine -- clearly sourced from the shop downstairs -- but it leaned oily and didn't really wow us. Service: 5/5 Pretty standard -- nothing over the top, but not neglectful either. Drinks came out reasonably fast, food followed, and we were checked on enough without it feeling pushy. Vibes: 4/5 The speakeasy itself is definitely the selling point. Dark, intimate, and stylish -- you feel like you've found a little hidden spot. All in all, the cocktails are the reason to come, especially if you're into whiskey. The food was forgettable, but it's convenient that you can order pizza upstairs. We spent about $30-40 for drinks and snacks, which isn't shocking for Old Town. Would I go back? Maybe if I was already in the area, but for a dedicated whiskey night, I'd probably head somewhere else.
