I think Im in love with this restaurant. My server Mike was awesome and very knowledgeable. He knew exactly what to suggest and the food did not disappoint my tummy. Everything was absolutely yummy. I opted to sit out on the balcony and take in the beautiful weather and views. I must say I am so happy I did...just look at those pictures. This was actually a solo date that made me feel romanticize. The mood was just right. Soft Jazz playing in the background at the right volume. Everything about this place is what my mind, body, and soul needed. I felt so relaxed here. The peach Bellini might be my favorite. The oyster rockefeller was so good makes you wanna kiss the chef. The salmon and grits were cooked to perfection. I never had anything like it. They did their thing! I can talk about this slice of heaven for days but I have a life so I'm not. Just go! Tell them Nikki sent you, Although it won't do much for you. But just go and thank me later.

Jula's continues to please and delivers on quality, service and experience. Here for Restaurant Week summer 2026 and the options were spectacular. The Gazpacho with blue crab was incredible. I loved the Branzino, light yet with a crisp topping of dried Klamata olives giving a slight crunch. The chicken with pancakes and caviar topped eggs was my wife's fave! And oh those desserts....decadent, delicious and to die for. A special note about Quntin or "Q". Simply outstanding service from a true professional. And he made it all fun!! Jula's; truly the gem on the Potomac!

The perfect setting for date night. Everyone was dressed so nice and it was a perfect, light & stormy day. We all got to enjoy a beautiful rainbow during dinner We sat inside right next to the window to catch the sunset. To start, we ordered the deviled egg trio & garden truffle flatbread with a Riesling to wash it down. The deviled eggs were *chef's kiss* - topped with trout caviar, pancetta crisp & candied smoked salmon. The flatbread was slightly sweet with the caramelized onions and balsamic reduction but delicious all the same. For entrees, we enjoyed the chef's catch which was golden tilefish* with creamy grits & couscous, a 12 oz fireside Berkshire pork chop and broccolini & carrots to share. Entrees 5/5 for flavor & richness, sides 3/5 - they were cold and under seasoned Overall a beautiful experience with an even better view and amazing service

Haven't visited in a while and everything was as expected....excellent. From the food to the customer service!! Our original reservation was for the outside patio but it rained. They were very accommodating by allowing us to change to bar seating. The bartender Carlos was attentive and friendly. Tried the shrimp and grits for the first time and was not disappointed. Love love love this place and the beautiful view.

Great service and views of the Potomac River! We had a 1230 reservation for brunch. We were seated on the terrace. It was a delightful day with patio umbrellas and lots of sunshine. Our server Q was very attentive making sure our water was refilled and the next round of drinks was coming out timely. The shrimp and grits was delicious. My friend enjoyed the avocado tartine and Brûlée grapefruit. Convenient parking garage, where you take the elevator up to the restaurant. $5 on the weekend

If you're looking for a cute rooftop vibe without the hustle and bustle of the big city, Jula's is your place to be, tucked away on a rooftop overlooking the Potomac. It is a great spot to enjoy the views and a cocktail. I dined on a light bite which included the crab dip paired with a soft French baguette, and for my cocktail choice, I had the lavender lemon drop which was exquisite. They also have this cute bubbly bar that offers an array of Veuve Clicquot. It's also a great nook to get some flicks. When you dine there ask for Q not only is he an amazing bartender, but he takes great pictures. Btw, the bread pudding with a side of vanilla bean gelato is exquisite. Tell them DT sent you.

Our appetizers were delicious. The grilled octopus was tender with grilled not burnt flavor. The lamb lollipops were so delicious but it was the flavor of the greens and "jelly" that made them so good. It was nice to share but these were not large portions suitable for sharing. The entree portions are small or maybe even what should be normal. I rarely can finish a meal. I always have leftovers. I was able to finish my salmon dish. I was hosted by friends. The wife had what I had. Her husband was very disappointed in his duck portion size. He commented that he was gonna have to eat a bowl of popcorn before bed. While I forget the name of the NOJITO, it was so very good. It was very fruity and didn't water down as the ice melted. Our server was Nev. she was friendly, helpful, and professional. This girl even had business cards!!

I had a group brunch with my family here to celebrate my birthday in January. Mike Nurse was our waiter and took excellent care of our party. We were never left waiting or wanting for anything. The food was delicious and came out quickly from appetizers down to the desserts. Jula's has beautiful views as it overlooks the Potomac River and sits just south of Reagan National airport. For airplane watchers, you get a good view of the planes coming in for a landing. On warmer days there is also outdoor seating. And several areas to take great pictures. This was my second time visiting Jula's on the Potomac and I'm glad I chose it for my special birthday. It did not disappoint!

My friend recommended this restaurant since it was on the river and she had been there with friends for brunch. I had not been there before and was happy to try a new place. It was a bit of a hike from Great Falls in rush hour traffic and it was in Building 44 - I got lucky and parked in the right garage, but it was a bit confusing. Their website was helpful in getting there, although I was a bit annoyed that after spending $150 on dinner, I still had to pay parking - they didn't validate. Who doesn't validate in their own garage? Food (5/5): The food was solid - we shared the Brussel sprouts with bacon jam and they were so delicious. My friend had the mushroom risotto which was GF. I had the crab cakes and they were delicious although they were a bit expensive, given they didn't come with a side. Service (5/5): Our server was great - only downside was he didn't introduce himself so I didn't get his name. Ambiance (5/5): Beautiful restaurant. I could tell that it would be really nice during the day with the view.

Bottom line front - you won't find a more beautiful view with exquisite menu options in the area. Service is sunburn and they know how to present! The food, flavor, and service are what you'd expect from a 5*. The food are cooked to order. The Drink menu is superb. With refreshing options and great flavors. And yes for your simpler folk the have bud light in frosty glasses. So for a bit of the elephant the prices, they are not cheep but the perception of value is there. I'm not a fan that if you decide you don't like vodka in a bloody marry they up charge you for whiskey. In this posters option whiskey is much better option for Bloody Mary. Recommend you allowing an option for vodka, tequila, and whiskey. The bloody marry is also not house made. I passed but your server and I had a good laugh about it. Drinks are very expensive!!! When we sat down before we opened the menus he offered to bring us hot biscuits...no they were not complimentary 6 biscuits at $5 a biscuit was a nice treat on the bill. Our server Quintin was awesome! Recommend him for sure. Polite professional and factual but more than willing to upsell so make sure you ASK What charges will be made for offers.

Jula's on the Potomac is definitely a must try. Made a reservation a few days before and went here on a Friday evening. Having delicious dinner while watching the gorgeous sunset al fresco was perfect. Ambience was casual. There is a slight difference in the bar/terrace menu from the inside seating menu. The bar/terrace menu does not have pork chops, ribeyes because we were told they could not bring out heavy portions outside with knives. Amethyst nojito was refreshing but I wouldn't say I am the biggest fan. The food was amazing. The crab dip and lamb lollipops were good starters. The sweet & sticky short ribs were so tender and flavorful. Honey fennel roasted duck was savory and flavorful. Hearty meals. Delicious. Tiramisu was alright. Our server Annie was sweet and tried her best to keep up but it was a busy night. As the night slowed down, she was able to give more attention to us. It got too cold for us dining outside as the chilly breeze blew; our request to move inside was accommodated. Would definitely recommend.

    Martini

Just perfect, best octopus ever, the Old Fashion was served in a smoking cabinet and so good! The tiramisu martini is dessert in a glass and even served with a cookie! The hostess and wait team were amazing! The crab soup made me want to lick the bowl! Then you get to the view, overlooking the Potomac, beautiful!

My wife and I arrived around 1:20 p.m. on a Thursday. The lunch crowd was still going strong, which only reinforced that we had picked a popular spot. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill almost immediately. When we walked in, there was no hostess to be found. After waiting about four minutes, she finally appeared and offered us a choice between a small table in the corner or one by the bar. Given how busy the restaurant was, we took the table by the bar. About seven minutes later, someone finally came by to offer us water and explained that our server was busy, but she would help us in the meantime. No problem. We ordered the Avo Goddess Salad and asked that it be split so we could share it. A few minutes later, our server arrived, introduced herself, and we let her know we had already ordered the salad and were ready to place our lunch orders. She was very helpful in guiding my wife toward the Old Bay Shrimp Burger. I was excited to order the Shrimp and Grits until I learned it contained Andouille sausage and, according to our server, couldn't be prepared without it. Since the restaurant highlights that everything is made from scratch, that surprised me. I ended up ordering the Ahi Tuna Salad instead. So far, so good. Then came the frustration. We spent the next 20 minutes slowly picking at our salad, growing increasingly hungry and confused. You know something is wrong when guests who were seated after you begin receiving their meals before you. Finally, at 2:10 p.m., our food arrived: my Ahi Tuna Salad and a Pulled Lamb Sandwich for my wife. Except my wife had ordered the Shrimp Burger. When we pointed out the mistake to what was now our third server, she quickly assured us it would be corrected. A few minutes later, our original server returned and took full responsibility. She explained that the lamb and shrimp items are next to each other in the POS system and she accidentally selected the wrong item. She assured us the Shrimp Burger would be out in two minutes and suggested we enjoy the fries that came with the lamb sandwich while we waited. Unfortunately, another ten minutes passed before the burger finally arrived. Here's where things became truly disappointing: the top bun was still cold--almost frozen. My wife ended up removing it entirely and eating the sandwich with just the bottom bun. At best, the Shrimp Burger was decent, but certainly not worth the wait and frustration. As for my Ahi Tuna Salad, it felt like something I could easily make at home, especially considering the $25 price tag. I'm also not entirely convinced the tuna was particularly fresh. I can't bring myself to give Matt and Tony's one star because the atmosphere is genuinely cool and inviting. So I settled on two stars--mostly for how I felt before the experience unraveled. And listen, I get it. Mistakes happen. We're all human. But as someone who eats out frequently, here's one piece of advice: when a restaurant makes a significant mistake with a customer's order, consider taking that item off the bill. Sometimes that gesture is the only reason a guest decides to come back.
