Stopped by for a late night sweet treat and Julia's didn't disappoint. They offer soft serve, hand scooped ice cream (so many flavors to choose from), and more. Decided on a small (2 scoops) banana pudding in a cup. Definitely glad I got it in a cup as the ice cream melts fast in this heat! My two scoops had a generous amout of waffers mixed in which I appreciated. Definitely tasted like banana pudding and I'd get this again! Also tried some of the brookie dough, which was good, but I enjoyed my banana pudding more. In addition to a small, they also offer a large (3 scoops) and a kids (1 scoop). Unless you're sharing or have a big sweet tooth, I'd recommend a kids scoop. read more

I've been wanting to try this cannoli for a while. I was raised on cannolis and never really like them. My parents like them and need them in every little Italy they find. But this backstory, I thought, ehh worth a try. Glad I did! It was fantastic. The right balance of cream to shell, smooth, and really stuffed! Worth the whole $6. The staff here couldn't be friendlier. We were staying in a house right next-door and we ran out of ice, so I stopped by to see if I could pay for a cup of ice and they insisted that I take it free of charge and told me "come back and buy some thing and that's what you'll pay us back." I tried to give them cash as a tip and they didn't want to take it. So, of course I had to come back the next day and buy something and they were also super friendly. I like that they have a larger selection of ice cream flavors and soft serve flavors than most places. In addition to your typical chocolate, vanilla, and twist they also offer creamsicle and raspberry soft serve as well as their large menu of regular scooped ice cream too. we were originally going to order from the place next door for açaí bowls but it was closed. we walked over to julia's and saw they had açaí bowls. it took some time for them to arrive but when we got them they were really good. we also ordered a breakfast sandwich that took some time and that was also good. it wasn't crowded at all around 9am when we came and there are plenty of picnic tables out front to enjoy your food. read more

Not too long of a wait. Ordered two cannolis and was a little worried about spending $6 per canolli but they were 100% worth it. It was probably the best canolli I've had in a while and it was still crispy even after going in our fridge for an hour or so. Loved it! Wish I had a picture of those delicious cannolis!!! read more

This was hands-down the best lemonade on the boardwalk. I also had a funnel cake with light powdered sugar. Funnel cake was excellent and a huge portion. I split it with my mom and we still couldn't finish it. Service was fast and very friendly. My mom wanted an unsweet iced tea, which they only had bottled. The man who served us offered her a cup of ice with it for free. Very nice of him to offer that on such a hot day. read more

Julia's has the best, most perfect cannoli I've ever had. The filling is smooth and creamy with tiny chocolate chips, and not too sweet. There's a slight hint of cinnamon and the shell is crunchy, but soft enough to cut or bite into easily. I so wish I had bought more to bring home. read more

We stopped several times while on vacation last week. First time was for cannolis which were delicious. Next time we got ice cream, which was also delicious. Very reasonably priced compared to other ice cream/custard on the boardwalk (we paid $15 for two cones of custard at one of the "famous" places) What I was most impressed with was how NICE everyone was there! Let's be honest, a lot of the summer workers in the shops in OC aren't the friendliest. Not here! Super nice! We will always stop at Julia's when in town! read more

For last few years we have been getting cannolis from here and always exceptional.. my girlfriend is Italian and Julia's is a must do for her but this year during air show weekend not so much the filling was very runny and not very good in taste .. so needless to say very big let down because Julia's was one of our favorite place's for a cannoli but when we come down in August we will be trying one from taste of Italy read more

I'm no expert on cannoli and I've never had any in Philly or NYC where they're supposed to be the best, but the ones Julia's serves are pretty amazing in my book and I can't imagine one tasting much better. I first came here 2 summers ago and Julia's son-in-law was working. When I told him it was my first time there he explained to me that Julia has been making the same cannoli in OC for almost 50 years (it's actually exactly 50 years now), and before that she owned a bakery in NYC. He also said she still comes in early every morning and makes them fresh every day, well into her 80s. I thought that was pretty awesome. He usually works during the day and I always re-introduce myself and he always has nice things to say. The cannoli itself is delicious, sweet and thick cream cheese icing with chocolate chips in it and chocolate sprinkles on top for extra fun. The outside is very crumbly and has a great cinnamon flavor, it's very messy but they give you lots of napkins. They're other stuff looks good too but I doubt I'll ever get past the yummy namesake cannoli. read more

I love cannolis, so I went to Julia's to get one! I was super excited, they looked amazing, and then about half way through, I pull out a ball of something. I thought it was hair, but after throwing up, I found out it was a ball of paper bag. How it got in there and WHY it was in there I'm sure I don't know, but definitely not going back to Julia's. read more

Today after riding a bike we stopped for ice cream. The owner is very pleasant and nice man to talk to. We ordered 3 ice cream cones and a water ice. Vanilla with rainbow sprinkles, vanilla with chocolate sprinkles, water ice with 2 flavors and I forget my friends choice. I couldn't take pictures as they quickly began to melt. My water ice was still great and refreshing overall. My wife and friend thought their ice creams tasted strange. I tasted and agree there was a strange aftertaste of possibly spoiled dairy? I couldn't really put my finger on it but needless to say, my wife threw hers away and ate the cone. My friend ate his but complained of a slight stomach ache some time after. My son seemed fine. He had soft serve and didn't complain of any flavors or stomach aches and the others I assume were hard flavor of it wasn't the same batch my son had. Owner may need to check on the refrigeration of the ice cream for possible failure beginning before the Memorial Day season kicks off. read more

Kohr's Bros are supposedly the creators of custard and started in Coney Island about 100 years ago, literally. They do it right, the custard is bomb. Menu wise, I think they do cone's, bowls, and milkshakes. They offer chocolate dipped and a few different toppings. This location in Ocean City has a wide variety of custard flavors which you can mix and match. I always go with a large twist of vanilla and chocolate, dipped in chocolate in a waffle cone. Then I put the cone in a bowl and smash it up, it's amazing, I should trademark it. This location has two different lines to order from so even during peak season you shouldn't have to wait too long. The people are nice and the custard is always consistently delicious. I wish they still had the Kohr Bros in Rockville that was literally 500 yards from my house :( But I'll be back in Ocean City this summer smashing Kohr's Bros per usual.

And that we found at Doumar's. Reminiscent of the 50's drive in restaurant, we parked under an awning, confused on what to do. A helpful, smiling young lady... I only wish she was on roller skates... came right over to us in between the 12 other cars she was serving. After the indoctrination, we ordered and took her suggestions. The food came quickly, was delicious and the entire experience was exactly what we needed to regroup for the rest of the day. Ice cream after the meal... like icing on my cake, made for an even better experience. The positive interaction between that one employee and us made all the difference. I tipped well, if you go.. you should too. And if the owners are reading this... keep doing what your doing, not enough business left that seem to care enough about the customer and the employees.

And that's how I ended up at Dumser's at 5pm on a random March Saturday, fully prepared to eat a gigantic ice cream sundae for dinner. Because I do what I want. I walked in and found a few people happily enjoying their ice cream, keeping things low-key and wholesome...while I approached the counter with a plan to absolutely disrupt the peace. I had my eye on the Peanut Butter Supreme Super Sundae -- three dips of peanut butter fudge ice cream topped with peanut butter topping, hot fudge, Reese's Pieces, whipped cream, and a cherry. A masterpiece. A commitment. A lifestyle choice. My original plan was to order it with just one scoop, pretending to be reasonable. I explained my plan to the very kind gentleman behind the counter, and he gently said, "We can do that, but it'll be almost the same price as the full Super Sundae...we do have lids. Do you have access to a freezer?" Sir. That was all the encouragement I needed. Upgrade me. Immediately. I handed over $13.05 and braced myself for greatness. Moments later, I was holding what can only be described as a mixing bowl-sized sundae, and I have never felt more aligned with my life choices. I found a table, sat down, and dug in with zero hesitation. And let me tell you -- this thing was not just big, it was GOOD. The peanut butter fudge ice cream was rich and creamy, the toppings were generous (shoutout to that employee for not holding back), and every bite felt like a reward for finally making it into Dumser's after literal decades of driving past it. I made it through two scoops and most of the toppings before I had to admit temporary defeat. I returned to the counter, humbled but determined, and asked for a lid. There was absolutely no chance I was letting the rest of that masterpiece go to waste. After a quick break, a little walk, and some fresh ocean air, I finished the rest while watching the sunset just a few blocks away -- which, honestly, felt like the most perfect ending to the most unhinged and delightful dinner choice I've made in a while. I'm slightly embarrassed it took me this long to finally try Dumser's...because WOW, I've been missing out since childhood. Safe to say, this is now a mandatory stop every time I'm in Ocean City from here on out!

I had the Cacio e pepe with scallops that was on special. I didn't love the pasta, the sauce was bland despite the peppery flavor but the scallops were well cooked and definitely the best part of the dish. For dessert we did a giant doughnut ice cream sandwich which was the star of the show. Paired with an espresso martini and I was extremely happy to finish off dinner! The service was attentive, the atmosphere was lively yet comfortable, and the overall experience was excellent. Definitely a place we'll return to on future trips.

I could have done without the layer of granola on the bottom of the bowl - I'll opt out of that next time. Service was standard and our bowls and smoothies were ready faster than we expected, which was great. Pablos is a solid option for an acai bowls in Ocean City - I'll be back!
