Yummy!!! Need a sweet treat while you're in OC? This place was so good! Cute little ice cream shop a block off the boardwalk. We found easy parking in the lot behind their building. There are tables inside and also outdoor seating. It's a bit pricey, but totally worth it. I got the coffee ice cream rolls with condensed milk on it and added whip cream and strawberries, and I can't tell you how good it was. Definitely a great evening

SO MUCH ICE CREAM. Single Scoop Cappuccino

Best decision of our beach trip. I thought the highlight would be the Ocean City crab buffet, but the MANGO SMOOTHIE at this unpretentious ice cream shop was heavenly. (they had EDIBLE STRAWS today - woah!!!) Our cashier was so young and sweet -- his name was "tarik?" -- he reviewed everything and fixed an error in our order as soon as he noticed it. :) COOKIE MONSTER // ROLL - we watched someone behind the glass decimate two cookies and combine the crumbles with a vanilla ice cream base. next we watched him elegantly drizzle chocolate syrup. It was so satisfying to look at. - can't go wrong with vanilla. lovely presentation. CAPPUCCINO // SINGLE SCOOP - i was too busy looking around the interior to check out the big metal tubs of ice cream, but this was delivered FAST. - there was so much ice cream in a single portion. we were astonished. - and it was tasty! a little sweet though, as my fam prefers stronger coffee. - (there's also a "latte rolled ice cream" on the menu that i plan on coming back and trying, our cashier said it tasted stronger) MANGO SMOOTHIE - REFRESSHIIING - the favorite - EDIBLE STRAW???? EDIBLE STRAW

This was our first experience with rolled ice cream. We don't have a location close to home that makes it (the closest comparison is Coldstone Creamery). Employees were friendly and ice cream was delicious! We got two of the same item and shared them as a family of four. We went on a Wednesday evening & there was no wait.

This place is tucked away off the boardwalk; but don't pass it by. So delicious! We WILL be back here every year. It's about $10 for what you see pictured and it's worth every penny. Enjoy!

If you are not eating here, you are missing out. When you walk through the door, the first thing you notice is the bright and cheerful interior. It is easy to believe that utter deliciousness happens here. The employees are friendly and get right to work making your ice cream. You can chose from many enticing options and up to 3 toppings. The price point is pretty on par with tourist town prices. They offer one size. It is a very generous portion. It is large enough to share, but delicious enough to entice you to eat it all by yourself. If you are trying to decide where to get ice cream, come here. Seriously, come here.

Rolls of ice cream with fresh fruit a treat!!

Ice cream made before our eyes with mix-ins (we chose fruit). Ice cream is rolled like sushi. Brochure shows a tropical sundae. Options were more limited here. Paid parking next to the shop. Large enough sundae for two to share. Fun concept and great watching the preparation!

New novelty ice cream, served up like sushi rolls. They pour the cream over the base flavor on a frozen platter and mix it up., making the ice cream right in front of you. They smooth it out once it solidifies, then form it into thin rolls. Not a bad variety of flavors, though the topping selection is a bit weak. They had fruity pebbles cereal, coconut, M&M's, sprinkles, and several syrups. The price was a bit steep- $7/cup after taxes, but you're paying boardwalk prices with a bit of entertainment thrown in. The ice cream itself was quite tasty, with lots of flavor (Peabut Butter!) and they don't overdo the toppings (you get 3). It also holds together long enough to eat it. Be careful, though- my spoon flung some while I was trying to dig a spoonful off.

Strawberry Shortcake rolled ice cream :)

Delicious! I came two days in a row I liked it so much. First time I got the Peach Cobbler and I ate it so fast I forgot to take a picture. Second time I got the Strawberry Shortcake and it was just as good! The shop was very clean and the staff were fairly friendly. All in all good service & I'll be back next time I'm in OC.

What an amazing atmosphere. After a long day at the beach or walking the boardwalk this hidden gem off the boardwalk is worth the wait. The staff was very friendly and entertaining. Remember to look for the blue house on the corner of Baltimore ave and the main boardwalk signage. Enjoy the cool setting and people watch out the windows. All I can say is ENJOY!!

Walked in blindly- they have plenty of seating and that ice cream is made right in front of you and is delicious. Kind of a variation of cold stone.

The hand rolled ice cream was fantastic! A little pricey, but we enjoyed it and would eat there again.

First opened in Ocean City in 1939 by Daniel Dumser, Dumser's Dairyland is an essential Eastern…read moreShore institution. Famous for its retro 1940s-style ice cream parlor decor--complete with high-back booths, ice cream counter service, and vintage charm--the shop makes its ice cream fresh daily right on the premises using classic, original recipes. Using their exact menu terminology, here is how the ice cream offerings break down: Butter Pecan Ice Cream: Made fresh daily on the premises, featuring a rich, old-fashioned cream base folded with buttery, crunchy pecans. (It also serves as the base for their popular Southern Treat Sundae, topped with butterscotch and chopped almonds). Thick Milk Shakes (Chocolate): Hand-dipped using their house-made chocolate ice cream and blended thick with milk. In classic soda fountain style, milkshakes are served in a tall glass topped with whipped cream, with the extra left over served right alongside in the stainless steel mixing cup. Service is fast, friendly, and quintessential beach-town nostalgia. An essential stop for traditional hand-dipped ice cream and shakes when visiting Ocean City.

I've been going to Ocean City, MD since I was a kid. I have seen Dumser's Dairyland every single…read moretime I've been there. And yet...not once -- NOT ONCE -- had I ever actually stopped in. Why? I truly cannot explain it. But this year? Birthday trip. Solo adventure. No one to stop me from making questionable (but ultimately excellent) life decisions. And that's how I ended up at Dumser's at 5pm on a random March Saturday, fully prepared to eat a gigantic ice cream sundae for dinner. Because I do what I want. I walked in and found a few people happily enjoying their ice cream, keeping things low-key and wholesome...while I approached the counter with a plan to absolutely disrupt the peace. I had my eye on the Peanut Butter Supreme Super Sundae -- three dips of peanut butter fudge ice cream topped with peanut butter topping, hot fudge, Reese's Pieces, whipped cream, and a cherry. A masterpiece. A commitment. A lifestyle choice. My original plan was to order it with just one scoop, pretending to be reasonable. I explained my plan to the very kind gentleman behind the counter, and he gently said, "We can do that, but it'll be almost the same price as the full Super Sundae...we do have lids. Do you have access to a freezer?" Sir. That was all the encouragement I needed. Upgrade me. Immediately. I handed over $13.05 and braced myself for greatness. Moments later, I was holding what can only be described as a mixing bowl-sized sundae, and I have never felt more aligned with my life choices. I found a table, sat down, and dug in with zero hesitation. And let me tell you -- this thing was not just big, it was GOOD. The peanut butter fudge ice cream was rich and creamy, the toppings were generous (shoutout to that employee for not holding back), and every bite felt like a reward for finally making it into Dumser's after literal decades of driving past it. I made it through two scoops and most of the toppings before I had to admit temporary defeat. I returned to the counter, humbled but determined, and asked for a lid. There was absolutely no chance I was letting the rest of that masterpiece go to waste. After a quick break, a little walk, and some fresh ocean air, I finished the rest while watching the sunset just a few blocks away -- which, honestly, felt like the most perfect ending to the most unhinged and delightful dinner choice I've made in a while. I'm slightly embarrassed it took me this long to finally try Dumser's...because WOW, I've been missing out since childhood. Safe to say, this is now a mandatory stop every time I'm in Ocean City from here on out!
