If I'm getting frozen custard down in Ocean City, MD, this is where I'll be doing it. My family has been coming to Kohr brothers ever since we started coming here 10+ years ago. This is the best ice cream/custard in the area in my opinion, based on the creaminess, texture and lack of being overly sugary. Pricing is in line with what you'd expect for the area. My go-to order here is vanilla custard in a waffle cone with a little bit of sprinkles. Yes, you will have to specify that you only want a little bit or they'll dip the whole damned cone. Just flirt with the eastern European girls a bit and they'll do it for ya (don't judge me). What I also love here is the lack of pretense; unlike the annoying-ass Polish ice stand down the boardwalk, there is no recorded ad playing on repeat. The product sells itself. read more

Kohr Bros. isn't what it used to be. They make it with cheap cream like the others use and it tastes as bad as the other cheap soft ice cream now. I don't know of any soft ice cream as good as Kohr's used to be. I just don't eat it anymore. read more

I gotta get my ice cream fix when on the boardwalk, and I tend to opt for the choco vanilla swirl with rainbow sprinkles from Kohr! I always check out Dumser's first but always just say eh, nah, I want the soft. It's sooo good on a summer eve. It's just essential. Really refreshing custard. I enjoyed the chocolate and vanilla twist, and was really surprised at the mint cone (my daughter could not finish), as I am not a big fan of mint ice cream/custard. It was really good and a great treat. Boardwalk pricing, but worth it. read more

I'm sorry to say I forgot the name of the lady who was helping us. She was very knowledgeable and let us the flavor a that were available. I got the orange and vanilla but, I should have just got the Orange. We are visiting and had a hard time if we should go to Kohrs or the dairyland and she informed us that they use egg whites which I am all for. Kohr brothers makes amazing ice cream, and it's got a whole bunch of different combinations; my favorite being by far, the Vanilla + Orange combo. But they do suffer from a bit of false advertising- this wasn't really CUSTARD, but more of a Soft Serve. When you get custard, you expect to have a very thick, almost yogurt-y consistency. But when you order Kohr Bros, it's not quite that thick. No harm done- the fact that the Vanilla and Orange combination definitely was worth it would have given it a five-star.. This proven custard is absolutely to die for. My family comes to ocean city every summer and each time we come, no visit is complete without a stop at kohr brothers. Their frozen custard is delicious on a cone or in a cup. I've tried the chocolate and peanut butter flavors and they are sooo good! It's always nice to grab a cone and head over to the renwick boardwalk across the street to enjoy it while watching the go carts. Love the peanut butter fudge custard... it is to die for.... they have the normal chocolate, vanilla and strawberry... plus a mint chocolate chip that is to die for as well. This is a long time favorite of mine. I love their chocolate custard. That being said, I was here twice during our stay in OCMD. For my first visit, I got the chocolate custard in a waffle cone. Yum! The best thing to eat while watching the fireworks on the beach. My second visit was for the chocolate and peanut butter twist in a small cone. Not as good as just chocolate -- the peanut butter wasn't very peanutty. It wasn't bad, but I should have just stuck with plain chocolate. This is some good ice cream. My boyfriend is a die hard fan of the classic - orange crème and vanilla swirl on a cone. Of course, I've never tried orange crème before and that just meant we had to get a large cone for us to share. I must say it is the best combination of flavors. It's like the orange popsicles with vanilla in the middle, but better because the texture of the custard is so creamy. I can literally not believe the service I received tonight. After a long rough night at work I just wanted to get some ice cream from Kohr's. As I was approaching Kohr's, I saw three girls. Right when i went to the counter, one girl said "UGH!!!!!!!" very dramatically. I was ordering my small swirl when the girl ringing me up says "Guys omg more people." My friend then approached the counter to order hers, and the cashier turned her back and started to walk away. I also overheard their attitudes with the customers behind us while they were saying "what do you want". Two of the girls also kept going in and out of the back room while there were customers in line. Overall, my experience here was not what I wanted to have a long rough day. I know the one girls name was Sophia, but as for the other two I'm not sure. If anymore information is needed, I can give descriptions and any other necessary information. read more
