Best authentic Mexican food in The Keys!!!! Hands down! From the moment you walk in, you can tell the restaurant is family oriented. From the pictures on the wall, to the family working right there in front of you in the kitchen, you can taste the real flavors of Mexican cuisine that I have never been able to come close to in The Keys before this. The sauces taste so good and have the right amount of heat. Now I can finally go to a spot that has all the options of Jarritos to choose from! Also, get a Mexican Coke. I cannot wait to go through this whole menu and I recommend the same to anyone that is in The Keys!

GO HERE!!! Julies Kitchen has some real authentic Mexican food! Absolutely delicious! The food really was made with love. I enjoyed the birria tacos & my boyfriend loved the chicken empanadas. Really worth your buck. Also, you can't go wrong with fresh juices & bottled coke or sprite

We were visiting the keys when we stopped in to Julie's Kitchen. Being from Michigan we are used to having great authentic Mexican food . It looked like Julie's was one of the only places in the area that had a menu that carried true mexican dishes. The restaurant is a cute and very clean carry out only place. The customer service was very friendly and helpful with menu choices. It has an open concept so you can see them cooking in the back and also see how clean it is. My husband and I got quesadillas , Godita, Sope , elote and a side of rice. The Food was PHENOMENAL! I was excepting it to be very good based on reviews and what we saw however we were both blown away at the flavor and presentation. This was the best Mexican food we have had and that includes our places in Michigan. Please support this local business as they truly take pride in the product they put out. I know any time we find ourselves in the keys we will be sure to stop at Julie's for a great dinner.

Nasty awful chips and salsa. Chips tasted like they were fried in rancid oil. Pricing was over $25. One place I will not go back to.

Easily the best Mexican food in the lower keys. We eat there at least two or three times a month.

The fish was fresh and delicious, served with fries and cole slaw. The waitress Jenny was incredible very attentive. Everything was so good that we went again although we were staying in Florida City the ride was worth it. Second time I had the square grouper again and my husband had the shrimp platter. Yummy!!! We were really looking forward to trying this restaurant, but unfortunately our experience was…read moredisappointing from start to finish. The online waitlist initially estimated a 60-75 minute wait, not an issue, had a cocktail upstairs and really wnjoyed ourselves. When we checked in, we were told we were next eventhough thebonline portal told us to come. After waiting another 15 minutes, we were told our table was just being cleaned and to wait where we were. A few minutes later, another employee told us we had to move because a different party was holding the door open, so we ended up standing behind the bar with our backs against the wall. It just felt awkward and disorganized. When we were finally seated in the back room, we thought it would be nice since it was quieter, but it was extremely hot. I'm usually the person who is always cold, yet I was sweating through dinner. Service also left a lot to be desired. The food runner handed our hot dinner plates directly to us instead of placing them on the table. I was sitting at the opposite end of the table from him, so I had to reach out and take a hot plate. I even asked if it was hot, and he still practically dropped it into my hands. I had burned my fingers earlier that day, so it hurt!!.. but it was that or drop my pasta!? Our server also repeatedly reached across guests' faces to clear plates instead of walking around the table. At one point my sister didn't even realize she was there until an arm reached in front of her, which was awkward. To make matters worse, two of our dinners arrived about seven minutes before the remaining meals, so part of our table was left waiting while the others' food got cold. We asked for grated Parmesan for our two PASTA dishes. No one mentioned there would be a charge. It took another six minutes to arrive, and when the bill came we discovered we had been charged $2 per serving. We asked for two servings, but three were brought to the table--and we were charged for all three. Six minutes may not sound like much, but after already waiting for the rest of the meals, another delay while watching our server take new tables' orders instead of bringing the cheese felt frustrating. To end on a positive note, three of the meals were good. My mother-in-law really enjoyed the grilled wahoo, my husband liked the BBQ mac and cheese, and my sister liked the fried artichoke. Overall, it wasn't one major issue--it was a series of small service problems that added up and made for a disappointing experience. We hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests.

My entree was chicken enchiladas with mole sauce , loved it! The refried beans were a little bland, but otherwise the food was great. Also the prices are great! The flavor was excellent and the chicken very, very tender. I also ordered the Chile Releno because that's what I do. I went with only cheese. They do have a steak and cheese option. It was extra large and packed. The egg batter was thick. Lots of city workers and locals chilling out. All were very happy. The music plays and laughter filled the air. The staff is excellent, a little erratic on speaking English or not. The server was very attentive. I stumbled into El Molcajete on the walk back from fishing all morning. I was unable to finish it all and will have leftovers later. I'm glad I dropped on and will be back.
