Julieanna's one of our favorite places to go for special occasions or when we're craving a good steak. They serve dry-aged and wet-aged steaks and their cocktails are really good! We love their mac & cheese and tomato risotto sides. Also, their raw oysters. Love that they have themed nights! Haven't had a chance to go to their Wednesday "Girl's Night" but it seems like such a good deal! We did try their Prime Rib Thursday but I felt like it was a little tougher than it should've been. read more

What a great place. This was our first time and the staff were very nice, the service spot on and the atmosphere pleasant. We came to celebrate our anniversary and enjoyed the two dishes (Adobo Pork Porterhouse and the beef stroganoff) below along with mussels for an appetizer and cheesecake for desert. Julienna's Steak and Seafood was a great experience. We had a huge party of about 25 people and they really hustled to get the drinks out fast as possible. I can't speak for the seafood because I don't eat much of that. But the steaks are super duper!!! What a wonderful dinner and evening! We were celebrating a big birthday for my sister-in-law, and since none of us are from Yuma, I relied on Yelp and ChatGPT for suggestions. Julianna's Steak & Seafood came highly recommended, so we went for it--and I'm so glad we did. I always get a little nervous being the one who picks the restaurant, because the food and service are totally out of your control. But wow--Julianna's did not disappoint. Our server, Corina, was absolutely fantastic. She somehow managed to appear the exact moment you needed something, yet never hovered. You just realized everything you wanted was already taken care of. We also met David, another highlight of the night--an East Coaster like us! I'm not sure if he's management or ownership, but he was such a joy to talk with. Within minutes, we were all laughing and swapping stories like old friends. And the food? Incredible. Excellent dining experience! Perfect setting for a special night out. Enjoyed the live jazz entertainment and the food was amazing. We had big plans for our mains but had trouble getting past the delicious appetizer section of the menu. Had the best dinner at Julieanna's Steakhouse! Started with the calamari--crispy, tender, and just the right amount of flavor. But the real star was the Roasted Tomato Risotto with Salmon. I'm not kidding when I say I wanted to bathe in that risotto! Creamy, rich, and the salmon was cooked perfectly. Every bite was heaven. And let's talk about the Yuma Sunset cocktail... so good I'm craving it again just writing this. Sweet, refreshing, and went down a little too easy! Our family recently dined at Juliana's to celebrate my daughter-in-law's birthday. I made the reservation online and filled out their form, including the reason for our visit (birthday, female, celebration -- I checked all the boxes. I assumed there might be some small acknowledgment. The only nod to her special day was a cheesy printed "Happy Birthday" sign tucked inside the menu. I kept waiting for a surprise to appear -- maybe a cupcake with a candle? A sparkler? A balloon? But nothing more came. We sat on the patio, which seemed lovely at first glance. However, once seated, we realized our table had a pretty dramatic wobble -- the kind that keeps you alert while setting down your drink. The mosaic tabletops are beautiful, but ours had a noticeable chunk missing. A glass set down on it would tip over so we were careful. As for the food, it was average. My husband ordered the steak, which arrived with a modest scoop of mashed potatoes. Unfortunately, the steak had quite a bit of gristle around the edges, and after trimming it down, the portion became significantly smaller. On a very positive note, our waitress was excellent -- attentive, kind, and professional. A gentleman who I assume was the host greeted us warmly and stopped by the table for pleasant conversation before the meal. The service was the highlight of the evening. We chose not to mention our concerns during dinner since it was meant to be a joyful celebration, and we didn't want to dampen the mood for our kids. When paying the $350 bill (including tip), I left a positive review on the card machine , mostly to avoid any awkwardness. In the end, if you're looking for excellent food at a reasonable price, I'd probably suggest Texas Roadhouse. It may not be fine dining, but in this case, neither was Juliana's -- and Texas Roadhouse tends to deliver a more satisfying meal for the money. This was our first time eating at Julieanna's Steak & Seafood, we arrived during lunch at 12:30 & were immediately seated. Let's make a note that there was 1 server (Travis) & 2 other tables with guests (a 2 top that was just finishing & a 4 top that just received the drinks & taking orders) there were 4 of us at our table. We ordered our drinks while deciding on food. We ordered food within 20 minutes of sitting down. The restaurant was nice & quiet allowing table conversations remain at table area. Here's where our problem comes from, I ordered the grilled steak wrap, hubby ordered the no cheese/dairy prime rib dip & our companions ordered the other prime rib dip & Philly cheesesteak, these items did not arrive at our table until 2:05 well over an hour after we arrived & placed orders. No, excuses or explanations as to the extremely long wait, other than offer drink refills. The food was tasty, however the homemade chips were hard to eat due to the over powering excessive amounts of Cajun seasoning, the au juice & meat was extremely salty taking away from the tasty sandwich. My wrap was ok but seemed lacking a dressing that would have tied it all together. It was just ok & nothing to get excited about & I'm sorry to say I'm not impressed. read more

This is our 4th or 5th time giving this restaurant a chance because it's one of the nicer restaurants in Yuma but we've decided the quality of the food isn't that great for such a long wait. There's not too many places in Yuma to get a five star meal, Julieanna's is one of them. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I talked with one young lady at the bar who is in the military with her boyfriend as pilots. They work part time there. The food is yummy and the cocktails are also. On January 6, 2024, I made a reservation to dine at Julieanna's for an authentic Yuma style steakhouse experience. They did not disappoint! The service was very attentive and friendly. The meat selection was a sight to be seen. Paired with a Caesar salad, I ordered the 16 oz Boneless Ribeye, prepared medium-rare with the Roasted Tomato Risotto. Cooked perfectly it paired well with a glass of a more sophisticated red wine, a Malbec from Argentina. The steak tasted as though it had been cooked over a char broil once found at the Best Steak House, a small franchise once found only in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Even though I do not usually order dessert, I ended the evening with a port wine served with Julianna's Creme Brule. The meal was absolutely amazing. Have the name. Next employee asked if we had reservations. Yes. What's the name. Gave the name. Next employee 5:45 with empty tables everywhere, we're ready to seat you now. This place is great depending on what you order. You will wait more than typical times for food but I'd rather this be the case than to wait long only to be disappointed Afterwards. The prices are high across the board. 70 dollars for a New York steak? Almost 200 for a bone in ribeye. Party of 2 with drinks you're looking at about 140 dollars. The portions vary but for the inflated prices I do expect more. This isn't a chain it's a local establishment so some measure of leniency should be allowed with the prices. The staff is the most hit and miss from any place in Yuma. You'll often get staff who aren't really interested in socializing with customers but occasionally will get interactive ones. They will all ask you if you're there for a special occasion which i have done twice as I was married there; but this is a hollow question as they'll just say oh that's nice and do absolutely nothing to make it just a bit more special. You don't really need reservation as it's never packed exceptions for holidays. When you arrive the hostess is also wait staff so we usually have to walk around and look for someone to seat us. Most of the food is cooked correctly and rarely does not taste great. The restaurant looks and feels higher end for sure but you're quickly Reminded it's not as you'll see People walk around in crocs sweatpants and or inappropriate clothing. This often takes away the feel of gourmet dining immediately. Mixed drinks are so over priced but the beer is not. In summary moderately portioned food that tastes great with higher than typical wait times but very over priced (understandably) for a local business. Highly recommended but with a caveat. read more

This was the best food I've had out in a long time. We stopped in for an early dinner our first night in town, not realizing it was such a dress up, celebration type restaurant. Even though we were dressed very casually the service was fantastic from our first step in the door. My daughter and I shared the table side Cesar salad which was a fun experience. She ordered shrimp scampi and I got the squid ink pasta. Both were so good we didn't even want to share a bite with the other! Then creme brulee for dessert was a perfect end. Our drinks were also lovely and I felt the wine prices were quite reasonable. It was a more expensive dinner than we had planned but worth every penny. The live music was a nice touch although we were glad to be inside as it seemed it would have been too loud for us outside. New Year's Eve was a complete bust and an unfortunate disrespect to our time. Why request a reservation when you won't be seated for 1.5 hours beyond the stated reservation time. Followed up by waiting for another 45 mins to one hour for our dinner (on a preset dinner menu). I understand that it was NYE, but proper planning on your behalf would alleviate such terrible service. Furthermore, charging $25.00 for kid's chicken strips test the fabric of the Yuma community. Wow!!! When you randomly find a hole in the wall, off the grid restaurant that takes your breath away....you'll be right here. All I yelped was "french onion soup" and found this gem. The atmosphere, the service, the staff were AMAZING. The food? Unhinged and full of flavor. TJ was our server and was one point!!! His food knowledge and chef's recommendations were fantastic!!! A gem in Yuma! My husband & I are enjoying a long weekend in the desert, spending time with friends and exploring this interesting town with it's rich history and it's little pockets of fun & surprising offerings. Tonight the plan was for a more casual and laid back dinner, but we wanted special cocktails too. The original place where we planned to have dinner was closed, which was actually a great stroke of luck because we found ourselves here instead. Such a lovely ambience when we walked through the front courtyard. We ended up waiting at the bar for a few minutes and had a chance to look over the cocktail menu and be greeted by a friendly bartender; Jose. It's a fairly substantive cocktail menu and many things looked very nice. After a quick wait, our lovely hostess came to get, us and led us past most beautiful cuts of dry aged beef on display in a sleek refrigerator, on the way to the dining room. Everything from sirloins to T-bones to fillets to New York strips. Gorgeous. As luck would have it, we were able to be seated right next to the fireplace. A good start for the evening for sure. A four piece jazz band was playing, complete with trumpet. A couple of Miles Davis tunes, a little Coltrane, just fantastic. Who'd of thought? Apparently they are here every Friday night jamming away. Bethany was our server and she was engaging, knowledgeable about the menu and a very nice person to talk to. We were lucky enough to have our new friend Jose as our the bartender and he apparently has a reputation of being one of the best in the area. I myself had a tamarind martini, my husband had an old-fashioned that was stirred with a little bit of muddled blackberry. Both were tasty and with generous (but still reasonable) pours. Shrimp cocktail is something that I usually don't order because it's so pedestrian. However, I had a yen this evening, and it was better than expected, ice cold, in a beautiful martini glass and the shrimp were big, fat and sweet. Husband had a wedge salad which was so good, and probably one of the best we've ever had. Listen, we've been waterfront on one of the biggest golf clubs in Memphis known for it's exquisite food and we thought their wedge salad was killer. Ha! Very impressive Julieana's! I opted after that for the French onion soup and the steak salad. I asked for my steak plain medium, neither well nor rare but unfortunately it was a little on the rare side. I guess that's better because you can always send it back to be finished more and not the other way around. In any case, it was delicious, perfectly seasoned and generous portion. The French onion soup was okay; while it had an excellent broth and perfectly melted cheese on the top, had a little too much bread underneath for my liking. My husband had the ribeye, which he found to be perfectly cooked and very tender. He also had the tomato risotto as a side. Throughout the meal, we were able to sit back, relax and enjoy our cocktails, the crowd (which was fairly diverse with some loud, some quiet, some fancy, some more relaxed) and on the big patio where the band was everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and the music. Seriously, I can't say enough about the band, a wildly competent jazz in Yuma? It just goes to show, culture is in places you least expect it, and it is quite appreciated. The things you learn when you travel, probably the biggest one being that nothing is as expected. And that's the fun of it. Yuma is up-and-coming and it's very enjoyable to witness and participate in. The staff here is really attentive, well-versed in their jobs, yet laid-back and friendly. We were really impressed because at regular intervals different members of the staff checked in on us to make sure we had everything we wanted; our drinks were full, and that we were enjoying our food. They are truly a great and well oiled team. A total winner. A huge shout out also to Fernando, who engaged my husband in good conversation with regards to different Bourbons and the different ways of making a nice old-fashioned. Later on, he made a great flambé, which apparently he is famous for, as he is the focal point of the marketing piece when walking in the door. Again, just a lovely experience and a fantastic place. October 2nd, 2022, Julieanna's resumed their Sunday brunch. Looks like the menu has new offerings (which was confirmed by our very nice and courteous server, Vanessa). Hubby chose the shrimp omelette; our family friend went with the shrimp salad with Louis dressing; and, I chose the aged steak hash. Everything was good, as was anticipated. The drinks were good, too. I thought my "La Paloma" as weak, or I didn't taste much tequila in it, but was I wrong. Although it tasted subtle, I felt its effect kick within about 10 minutes of sipping it. I did chuck it to not having been drinking in the past 9-10 months but I now know enough to never underestimate the power of alcohol especially in cocktails! We made room for desserts, more as a celebratory gesture (celebrating almost-Fall like weather l, and the restart of our family's brunch tradition). Julieanna's did not disappoint. We got the chocolate cake and the salted caramel cheesecake. Full disclosure, though, I felt that both desserts were just a tad bit on the salty side. I usually wouldn't think that salty is the first note I would pick up on desserts, of all things. But these two, yes, the use of salt perhaps in an effort to balance the sweet flavors--didn't go well as planned. Unlike dishes or entrees, where spices and seasonings can be adjusted as you go along, desserts, I find, are a temperamental, or a delicate lot, depending on how you look at them. Chocolate is a capricious mistress. The customer service was great as were the cocktails but the food is no where near the price point. Would recommend this place for drinks but that's about it. What should I expect? It's Yuma. Should I expect good steak and fresh seafood? Per the name of the restaurant, possibly. So I ordered the shrimp cocktail and steak, hoping these dishes will live up to the name. The shrimp cocktails were delicious, but the steak, a bit disappointing. I was t expecting the best cut. It wasn't, but what was disappointing is the fact that I ordered medium rare and it came out well done. The meat was so dry. However, the salad was delicious. I love it. I would have given it a 3 stars just for the steak, but because of the ambience, decor, and service, I rated it higher. I am not sure if I would go back here in the future. read more

All three dishes we ordered did not come as described in the menu for dinner. The prawns and clam ink pasta had no crispy pork belly. The salmon had no Mediterranean compote on top. The (fish assortment) cioppano had no fish. I told the waiter it had no fish,and after waiting 15 more minutes for the dish to arrive, it maybe had 3 small bites of fish. This was after waiting 45 minutes between appetizer and main dishes were served. Waiter never apologized or offered to comp any part of our meals. I had to ask. After talking with the mgr, we were comped 30% on one meal and given a desert. Also we felt some high school kids were taken advantage of by not explaining what MP was. Haven't been in probably a year due to the menu never changing. The menu has changed with some noticeable standards (ie. Crab cakes, soups, salads, steaks) and an updated drink menu with bubbled and smoked options. I ordered the carpaccio, came with sliced egg, capers, Parmesan, mustard drizzle, diced raw tomato and salad for decoration. I would rate JT Prime the winner. The mustard drizzle was overpowering, the diced egg was out of place, would have opted for a seasoned egg yolk dollop or accent and possibly some crostinis. I had ordered baguette however it did not come. The salmon and tomato risotto was ordered medium, it was medium well so would order medium rare next time, the shrimp cream sauce the shrimp were grey so over cooked and sitting in the sauce not freshly prepared, the salmon and risotto were over salted and no pepper noted. The salmon did have a nice sear with slight crunch which was great. The dirty olive martini was well prepared although there was a lot of floating blue cheese fluff in the drink, not sure if the brine from the blue cheese olives was used but suspected. The old fashioned had muddled cherry and sugar cube, orange slice, and I changed the bourbon to Bulleit. I'm not a muddled person myself but that was solid. Overall would come gain to try the rest of the "new" offerings. read more
