Have visited this location numerous times since it opened. First few times were good, service and food were on point. Since then (early 2024) it has digressed significantly. Several meals were delivered almost room temperature. Last visit (today)...learned they no longer had the house Super Tuscan so asked for a house chilled wine. Gave us two options, chose one and were charged $18 a glass.... For a house wine! Ordered a salmon ravioli for dinner. No way there was any salmon in it. Told the manager and it was remade. Tried it and still doubt there was any salmon. Glad they comp'd any disappointing meal. But we don't go out to be compensated, we go out to have a good meal. read more

The Caesar salad had a strange fishy taste, my chicken parm tasted a bit old and the pasta tasted off. The pasta used was almost Asian tasting. The cacio e Pepe pizza was unfortunately one of the worst pizzas I've ever had. I am truly not a picky eater but it was like cardboard. frozen pizza would have been better. My brother got the chicken picatta and was expecting pasta with it but didn't get and said it was ok. My wife got the pasta mare which was pretty good but not great. Nice to have a local Italian restaurant in Georgetown. The food is decent and plentiful. It is the place to go when you want regular Italian food. I wouldn't say it's anything special but it's good for being out of Austin. Not being able to eat on the first floor for lunch is troubling as the first floor is bright with better furnishings. Okay, so I know I didn't take any pictures, but don't read too much into that. I can assure you, the food was gorgeous. The restaurant itself has undergone an amazing renovation. What was once dark and claustrophobic even during the light of day is now light and bright; perfect for a girl's lunch/brunch or an intimate dinner. I do not remember our waitresses name but she was phenomenal! My husband and I stopped in for lunch today. We were promptly greeted and seated. They had a small brunch menu that they were serving in addition to their standard menu. The brunch menu looked divine (I'm gonna have to come back for the Italian Benny), however we wanted to try their standard fare. We ordered an appetizer of meatballs, my husband ordered the lasagna with bolganese, and I ordered the Chicken Saltimbocca. We placed our order and were nearly immediately served foccacia and dipping oil. You could absolutely tell that foccacia was fresh, warm, and delicate. The herded dipping oil was the perfect complement. The meatballs came out first. 3 large meatballs in marinara with 2 garlic bread crostini. The meatballs were perfectly seasoned with that bold marinara. It's always *chefs kiss* when you can actually taste the meat of your meatball. Honestly, we could have stopped there, but we're not quitters. My husband's lasagna was hearty, seasoned well, and each one of those 17 layers took your taste buds on a trip to taste bud happy-land. My Chicken Saltimbocca was like chicken parm and fettuccine Alfredo had a beautiful baby. The Alfredo mushroom sauce was surprisingly light and not overwhelming even with the big chunks of mushroom throughout. The chicken was perfectly thin, lightly breaded and ​​fried to perfection. It was topped with sage, prosciutto, provolone, and mozzarella. I ate only a 3rd of it, but im fairly certain because the sauce was so light that this will reheat nicely (a common problem for cream sauces). The pasta itself was fresh and perfectly cooked. This review will focus on the service: our waiter greeted us by saying the restaurant was understaffed that evening (red flag). Strike 1: It took 15 minutes for water to be brought to our table after we ordered. Strike 2: Our wines were not served in appropriate wine glasses, so I feel we were cheated in the amount of wine we were actually served. Strike 3: We had to ask one of the busboys for more water, because our waiter was so busy that he did not check in on us during the meal. The waiter promptly showed up when we informed the busboy that we wanted the check; we decided to only leave a 15% tip because service was not above-and-beyond or extraordinary. I was so disappointed with the service: our waiter always made an excuse for his inattentiveness, and that was just an invitation to lower the tip. Last night was our first & last time at this restaurant. Hands down the worst food any of us have ever had. We had a group of 8, celebrating a friend's birthday. 4 of us had intestinal issues all day today, we're all guessing from the food. If we weren't there for the birthday, I would have handed my dish back to the server and left. 2 people had the Lamb Ragu, which they both said was flavorless and missing the fried leeks. One comment they both had was that the meat had been overcooked so badly, they believed it to be ground beef. They both added quite a bit of salt and pepper flakes to make the food edible. The birthday girl had lasagna and said it was the worst she'd ever eaten. It looked nothing like the photo on the online menu. She and & both had to add seasoning to make it edible. I had the Italian Sausage Ravioli. Like everyone else, it had no flavor, and as stated earlier, I was very tempted to give it back and just leave. Yet we were there for a special event. My partner and I started with the meatballs which were bland and not worth the money charged. After an appetizer, 2 entrees and a drink and tip, we left there almost $100 out, and it was not worth it. The daughter of one of our friends said she would have been happier going to Olive Garden. I honestly would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Not worth the money charged, and the food just wasn't good. We all tipped the wait person well, as it wasn't her fault the food was so bad. She didn't prepare it. The complimentary Tiramisu for the birthday girl was frozen, not freshly made at all. And 2 people had margaritas. for $13 each, in a small rocks glass. Not worth it at all. Let's hope that the kitchen steps it up, or this restaurant will not last long. I don't mind spending $100 for a good dinner. This was simply not worth what we paid. And at no time did a manager check on us, especially as we waited close to 30 minutes for our food. There was 1 waitperson for the entire upstairs and I think I heard her say the downstairs also. My wife and I were excited to try this place when it popped up on the square. From the street it looks very classy and inviting. We went for our anniversary dinner. The service was good. The food was not at all equal with the vibe. My wife ordered chicken piccata and the chicken meat was thighs... chicken piccata is the most quintessential Italian dish and it is supposed to be thinly sliced meat similar to schnitzel. We were so confused. The plate was a large portion of dry polenta with bone-in chicken thighs, and capers on a bed of raw spinach leaves. We won't go back. Juliet's is a lovely little restaurant, but the brunch needs improvement. The bacon was totally undercooked, the French toast was good, but a very small serving. When we ordered the pancakes and French toast the server said they were out of syrup! By the time we got our food they had found some syrup. The pizza and Caesar Salad with grilled chicken were excellent. Actually the pizza is outstanding, but I don't suggest ordering from the brunch menu. Juliet, the Italian staple of Barton springs arrives in a big way to our humble Georgetown square. They've taken over the long established gumbos refurbishing the interior completely giving it a modern Italian kitchen feeling. With Two stories no matter where your at, it feels cozy and intimate with plenty of seating. Tonight I had the seafood pasta with shrimp clams redfish etc. Good portion slightly above average taste and good quality of pasta. The fried calamari had good taste though came out a bit oily. Service was exceptional, our server cherish was attentive, patient and helping in her recommendations. Carrie our friendly bartender, made sure to keep our bottles of Prosecco coming. A new location hiccup may have been that there were out of 4 different dishes, and out of almost all desserts except two. Something I'm sure they will get resolved in the future. For newly opening it was so good. Staff was happy and working their butts off. Atmosphere: we ate downstairs and were able to see upstairs. So much room, bright paint and can't wait for the balcony to be open! Side note- love the tile on the first floor! We had amazing wine and great starters. Jesus must have broke the bread himself! To say that I'm disappointed is an understatement. Olive Garden ranks higher than this place! First of all we waited a long time to get any service.Our waiter did not communicate well and was sweaty and didn't smell clean. I'm sure he is overwhelmed because they don't have many wait staff. I ordered the limoncello mule because it said that it was " house made". I sent it back because it was awful! My son ordered a nice glass of wine that was as warm as the restaurant! My husband and I shared the chicken piccata (which I don't recommend because the portion was small) and it was this little chicken breast on top of a bunch of uncooked baby spinach, which absorbed most of the sauce. It was served with polenta, which was very dry and had zero flavor. My son had lasagna which he said was ok. The food came out quickly, which to me only says that everything is probably from a package. Another waitress asked if we wanted Parmesan and then placed a small pepper mill on our table. Really?This restaurant took a French name that makes it sound so inciting. Then, they serve Italian food that is mediocre, hire people that they didn't train well and create a lot of hype. The problem also lies with the fact that the majority of the people of Georgetown are content with mediocre food. The other disappointing thing is that I thought that this was going to be a special restaurant where people would dress nice. There were so many people in sweats and sloppy attire! If you're going to have casual/ sloppy attire then lower the prices too! It is not a classy place at all! I really had high hopes about this place but I will never go back. read more

We tried to love Juliet's, not once but twice and were left disappointed both times. The chicken piccata left much to been desired and should be menioned on the menu it comes on the bone. I understand that's not a issue for most but for those who it is will have their whole 20 dollar meal ruined instantly. My husband enjoyed his drinks that's pretty much the only good thing to say. Service was slow even after we called ahead and asked if they were busy. We had a 6pm reservation for 3 people. We arrived on time and got seated promptly. Everything went downhill after that. It was 7:40 pm by the time we finally got our entrees. Two were luke warm and one was cold. The irony was that a table of 4 who got seated almost 1 hr after us (and had the same server) got their entrees way before we did. We didn't even get bread, because they decided to make bread at 6:30 pm on a Saturday. We were told the bread was just being baked. I can't make this up. As we were sitting there, we noticed that the table next us with a party of 4 waited even longer than we did. Only to get 3 entrees which were cold, and one missing. They asked to speak to a manager. A young man appeared and kept saying "I understand". Was the food any good after all that wait? Nope! I think by "Italian Kitchen" they mean that the kitchen cabinets were made in Italy, because I can make better Italian food with sauce from a jar. The food was bland and tasted and looked like airline food. Our server was very apologetic and offered us free dessert which was a kind gesture, but that wasn't anything to write home about either. They have prime real estate with a balcony perfectly situated over town square. It was really nice to see the Christmas lights and decorations. So sad to see that space wasted like this. read more

We have been wanting to try this place since it opened and finally got there last night. Unfortunately the food was extremely disappointing. We ordered calamari, salad, lasagna, chicken Parmesan and meatballs. The calamari was overly salted and prices inside the breading was dry and did not taste fresh. Salad tasted ok but way overpriced for the ingredients. Lasagna was dry and had a weird taste. Chicken Parmesan was dry over cooked and portion of it was burned. Meatballs tasted ok. The shrimp scampi I had was absolutely delicious! Not super fancy, but perfectly cooked and in a very generous portion. I had another meal from it. We went there for lunch today. It was the first day for their lunch operation. We had 11:30 reservations which I would recommend. The restaurant is fresh and newly renovated from previous establishment. I've read the comments and agree it is loud. I'm not sure we would return for an intimate dinner. On the plus side, our service was excellent. I ordered chicken piccata which was tender and juicy. My husband ordered the Italian sausage lasagna which was a very generous serving. On the spicy side. It is pricey for lunch, but was told by server that they were going to offer smaller portion and a salad for $19 I think. This is a nice addition to our beautiful Square in Georgetown TX. read more

First time at this new location. Got the lunch menu and my goodness the portion was huge! I got the chicken pesto- didn't taste much of the pesto..it was fairly bland. The basil soup was too. Creamy that it was kinda overpowering. My husband got the chicken parm and he said he wished the chicken was more crispy and the pasta did not have enough sauce. The Brussels sprouts was really good! Perfect crunch and flavor. Calamari was ok, i was not expecting a fried lemon..? I ate one and it was def sour and bitter. The lamb ragu was great! Prob my fave dish there. read more

Ok, so this will be my second attempt and review of Juliet's. My husband and I decided to go here at opening time so there would be ample staff vs customers. There were only two other tables occupied, one had two guests, and one with three, and the staff still couldn't get things together. The waitress was snappy and short with my husband as he tried to order ( she was walking away after only getting my drink order) then when the hot tea came (it was cold out) she asked if we wanted cream or sugar and my husband simply states no thank you we drink it plain, "she snapped back at him and said " well how am I supposed to know that unless I ask", in a weird tone. We were so confused. We ordered our lunch and when our salads came out 25 minutes after being there, we asked for bread, which usually comes out, she stated the same thing I overheard another staff member told his table when they asked for bread, 10 minutes before we did, "we are currently cutting it and it will be out shortly". Instead of the truth, which was clearly something along the lines of...we opened the restaurant before we were ready...or the bread person didn't prepare the bread before hand... the "it's coming " comment could be heard all over the restaurant for another 15 minutes after we requested some, which was almost 35-40 minutes into our experience. Finally our food came, then half-way through, the hostess brings us...some bread. I asked to speak to the manager so I can let them know that I was currently there on a $25.00 gift certificate, and she said that she would have the manager come by. We ate all of our food, we boxed up the leftovers, paid the bill, then we finally had to leave. We never saw the manager, as we walked towards the door, the hostess stated that she got tied up doing interviews. I simply stated it's OK. I will stick it in the review. The only good thing I can say is that the lunch portion was bigger than the dinner portion (makes no sense, tells me there's no consistency) but hey, I suggest if you are going to go give it a shot, go have lunch read more

Me and a few girlfriends finally got a chance to try Juliet this weekend, after being obsessed with their Barton Springs location. We went in with lower expectations with the craziness of Poppy Fest, but they blew us away. Everyone we interacted with was so welcoming and beyond helpful. I have celiacs, which can be difficult when going out, but our waitress (Tonya) was more than happy to accommodate me. I got the butter lettuce salad and gluten free penne with the pesto cream + grilled chicken (highly recommended for any of my fellow celiacs so yummy). Food came out quick and hot. Our server checked in with us often. The rest of my group finished with some tiramisu that I couldn't partake in, but they had no complaints. So we ate our entree off our dirty appetizer plates. Speaking of: meatball appetizer was $16 for 3 meatballs and two slices of garlic bread. Insanely bad value. Other reviews mentioned house bread upon seating but we never saw that come out. Server was very nice but never got us waters, even after she mentioned she had forgot several times. Never received a bottle of wine we ordered with our dinner. I even pointed at the wine menu after she wasn't sure which bottle I was talking about. Pretty sure gumbos old tables and chairs were being reused. Hopefully that's a temp. condition. It's loud, so not a great intimate atmosphere (we sat upstairs). Honestly I have never felt so forgotten about in a dining experience. Was hoping a floor manager would make rounds so we could relay our experience, but that didn't happen either. We just wanted to leave, so I flagged down our server for the check. As we left, not one employee thanked us or wished us a good night. This was a birthday for one of us, needless to say the experience was incredibly disappointing. Spend your money elsewhere until they can get over these hurdles. read more

We were visiting Georgetown for the day and were unsure where to go for lunch and are so happy we came here. We had a lot of fun with our server Megan at Juliets. They just opened a few months ago which explained why so little views yet. The inside was bright and fun. The homemade Lemonade and fresh baked bread and homemade oil were a fantastic way to start. Their "Smokey monkey" cocktail was fun. We had the tomato bisque (very tasty and creamy) and Caesar salad to go along with Bruschetta (Bisque and Bruschetta were the early star). For our meals, the sausage pesto pasta was amazing! We loved how they served a healthy portion of crumbled sausage. They were also great to replace the normal pizza sauce with a Alfredo to make a stellar spinach and sausage thin homemade crust pizza.
