About 6 or 7 years ago, the quality of ingredients used at Olive Garden went down drastically. Their marinara has evolved into a sad canned sauce rather than the heart, bold, flavorful sauce it was when I was growing up. The soup and salad was delicious and a fabulous treat, but the soups are bland, thin, and boring compared to what I enjoyed as a child. I went to this Olive Garden yesterday with my husband and my elderly mother who is in a wheelchair. They have many handicap parking spaces in front. Upon entering, we were greeted promptly and kindly and seated at a table that was easily accommodating for the wheelchair. The host promptly and kindly said, let me pull a chair away for the wheelchair. That was so nice and considerate. Our server's name was Kennedy, and she was charming, professional, and a very good server. My husband got ravioli. I got gluten-free pasta and my mother got soup and salad. I love their never-ending salad bowl! There's something special about an Olive Garden salad. I got Chianti wine. My mother got Chardonnay (their wine pours come in two sizes, 6 oz and 9 oz) and my husband got a mixed drink. Kennedy was spot-on getting us waters and drinks and salad. One thing that really stood out about Kennedy is that I am dairy-free. When she brought the cheese out for everyone, she very carefully went around the table not to do the cheese over me , as I was at the end of the table. This took a great effort, a lot of thought and wonderful consideration without being asked. That's the best kind of integrity, The ones that show integrity and kindness without being asked. Our food was great. Our service was spectacular. The price was a reasonable. They have the decorations out for Christmas and they have a very pretty tree in front. I've dined at OG quite a few times and I've rarely received the caliber of service this young lady provided. Online ordering was super easy-the website is easy to navigate, and they have some great group meal options that will feed plenty of people depending on how many you're ordering for. This particular group order we did the chicken parm ( a classic!), meatballs, ravioli, and fettuccine Alfredo. The order came with their famous salad and breadsticks, a whole Sicilian cheesecake, and tea. I had LOTS of leftovers after my event-very generous portion sizes. The food was so good (everyone loved it), and my order was 100% accurate. Pickup was super easy! I'm going to hold 5 stars off right now because my experiences have been only with bar seating and food. But I can tell you the service and food are definitely higher quality than many places. I stopped in on a hot day craving a Bellini (Don't laugh until you try one). I was seated immediately, and the bartender arrived right away, The drink was so delicious. I hit the app menu and ordered the meatballs. The plate was a meal for me but would be fantastic to share among several people as an appetizer. Every other OG that I've been to in the Austin area has felt like a dystopian, liminal space, but this place captures the essence of what I loved about the Garden as a child. My husband and I would like to thank this Olive Garden for supporting veteran's on Veteran's Day. My husband ordered the all you can eat soup, salad, and bread and he was told it was free since he was a veteran. I ordered the steak and pasta which was delicious. My husband loved the choices of soups and tried two of them. He really liked both of them. The breadsticks were hot and the salad was so fresh. Our waitress was very nice and helpful in getting what we might need. She also came back to the table to check on us on a regular basis. Even the manager dropped by to see if the food and service met our expectations. We will support this business because they have great food and the prices for the menu items they offer is reasonable. Yesterday was no different, as we wanted a quick healthy bite and with the restaurant on a one hour wait, we found a seat at the bar and experienced the best service experience with Alexandria, who was tending a busy bar with seated patrons and house orders coming and going. Alex undoubtedly is a Rockstar and very competent at bartending and taking care of guests with attentive service and impeccable timing. Olive Garden has a nicely curated menu with something for everyone with their variety of food and beverage offerings. We had a 6 oz pour of the Red Blend that was a bit dry and bold as we like it. I had the tossed Garden salad and it was really good with exceptionally crisp lettuce and ripe flavorful slices of roma tomatoes. My wife had the Zuppa Toscana that was hearty and hot as if the chef just finished it and the Grilled Chicken Margarita with Steamed Broccoli we shared was nicely prepared and was served hot off the grill thanks to the kitchen being on point and the snappy service of Alex making certain our meal and dining experience was top shelf. The salad was the freshest item we had and that was tasty Appetizer was toasted ravioli which was frozen and heated to serve. Just ok. The Tour of Italy - Chicken Parm, Fettuccine Alfredo and Lasagna. The best was the Fettuccine which I normally don't like - both the lasagna and chicken parm tasted like they were frozen and reheated and needed more sauce - so disappointed! Other entree was lasagna only. Much smaller serving than last visit. Prices are close to $20 per entree and in my opinion prices reflect what should be a fresher product. Used to wait longer to be served and obvious why it's much quicker. Stars for salad and Service which was excellent! Probably not going back. read more

The food is consistently good here. You should know, I only ever get To-Go at this Olive Garden location, while I've done so many times for my family. I've never had an issue with my food, at least regarding having the proper items, and them being cooked as one expects from a chain like this. Nothing wrong there. That said, this location's To-Go counter is a s**tshow. How do you even lose one's food? Idk. But they've managed to do it a couple of times. For our lunch, we each had soup and salad... the never ending soup, salad and bread sticks. Soups were excellent and filled twice as we were hungry. We enjoyed the salad, cheese added at the table if you wish. Fresh, crisp and tasty. Bread sticks are classic and really warm and addictive. Beverages are anything from wine (an impressive selection) and craft ice teas with fruit or regular tea or coffee... all were outstanding. We finished with warm Italian donuts with raspberry and chocolate dips. More than enough for us four. That was the absolute best end to an enjoyable meal. Service was very friendly, welcoming and professional. She took our order and answered our questions with a warm smile, making us feel at home. Service was quick without making us feel rushed. The last time we ate at the Georgetown Olive Garden we ate in the dining room and I couldn't help but notice a dirty carpet smell. It pretty much ruined the meal for me. When we returned for dinner two nights ago, we decided to sit in the bar area. Unfortunately, we could still smell the dirty carpet smell. No big deal I called today like they said and they said it will be an 1-1.5 hour wait. So our entire party of 18 show up, and waited and waited. I went up to the front desk and let the hostess know hey it looks like we are only going to have 18 instead of 20. With an attitude she said "well it's still going to be a wait". The "short staffed" excuse for having an overflowing waiting area is complete BS when you have 2-4 hosts literally standing and talking amongst themselves the entire 30mins you are waiting. You only need one person up here running the 1/3 of the restaurant that's actually being used, make the other two people servers and fill the numerous empty tables throughout the restaurant. And seriously, the big guy with the multiple pins on his shirt collar was creeping us out hitting on the super young hostess in front of all of us the waiting area. I went to Olive Garden today with my family on 4th of July expecting a nice experience but as soon as we entered we were surprised that the hostess was not nice. Immediately the hostess in front, Adeline or something like that, gave us a dirty look and rolled her eyes. I was caught off guard and smiled at her and she kept rolling her eyes. It was pretty empty inside but she insisted that it would be about a 25-30 minute wait. We were willing to wait and said that was fine. Then every person who came in after us large parties and small she sat down before us. If we tried to get up and ask her a question she would walk away or continue to give us dirty looks. She seemed so bothered that we were there. Addison shouldn't be a hostess if she can't be nice to people in the front. Only until a new hostess came in we were sat at a table.
