My new go-to battery place in south Bay Area. Just several miles from my home. Ironically, another company referred me to Julio C Battery because they didn't have the battery that I needed in stock. I procrastinated with one car and the other car had to keep getting jump start. At this point, I decided it was time to get my replacements on both, asap. I had arrived at the Julio C battery shop. Greeted by Julio's daughter who appeared to be running the shop today. She was helpful and informative about the batteries, etc. The shop had all kinds of batteries that were ready to go. I definitely recommend this business. It has good service, the people are very friendly, and they served me promptly.

DO NOT BUY BATTERIES FROM HERE! They sell batteries that don't even work your better off just charging your battery you have now then waste your money on one of Julio's junk batteries and when you go back for the warrantee, they try to make up their own rules so they don't have to give you your money back. This place has permanently lost my business and all of my family's business because we have been coming here for 15 years but that stops today. read more

Instead I got a Condon sending response advising me that they weren't AutoZone I am well aware you are not AutoZone I was trying to get my car serviced and train him make a convenient time to drop it off. Instead I received mock condescending and still have the audacity to feel that they are superior. This is not customer service lacking to say the least and not friendly to females. Worse services in Chula Vista. Don't trust them or leave your car there. They don't care, the just want to get your money. They claim to have great services, but Julio is a thief. Ladron fino. According to him my car was fix, but it it got worse. They just want you to keep going for repairs. Also he like o buy stolen batteries from those theif who steals people's batteries from their car. Julio's battery is one place where you can find your stolen battery if you mark it and take a picture of it to prove him that is yours. He probably will sell it back to you, like nothing. read more

If you are buying a battery then good, but do yourself a favor and do not take your car here for service, they "fixed" a problem on my car, but another problem immediately happened after I took my car back and they told me it was a coincidence so they were not going to cover the insurance even when the problem comes from the thing they repaired at the shop read more

Giving a 1/4 star was not an option or I would have used it. Smiling faces screwing you over is how I would rate this place. What we didn't know was that the one qualified mechanic there, was kept (even though we requested him) from working on our car. (We found out this truth later through a friend who knows him). Facts: They charged over $2000 dollars to pass smog. They took just shy of 30 days when we were told 2 weeks. They put over 300 miles on the car and returned it empty of gas and oil. They failed to answer our calls for weeks and I had to drive to Chula Vista to get any answers. I got there and found out he didn't know how to fix it and took it somewhere else on Main Street. Their (waste of) time and the car rental put us at over 3K, and though it passed, how this is legal is a mystery to me. I was not there when the car was delivered but my heart broke when I saw the work they did. An earlier review called Julio an honest mechanic? How could you honestly charge us for the mess you created and the constant lies? 3 times I was told the car would be ready and all three times after driving from La Mesa to Chula Vista it wasn't. Our control panel is a constantly changing light show and we will most definitely be needing an auto electrician to prevent a fire from the loose and open wiring. I got my oil changed this morning and was told my battery is going bad after they tested it. I drove over to Julio Battery and got a slightly used Die Hard Platinum Deep Cycle battery for a low price. The best thing about Die Hard batteries is that they are guaranteed for 3 years from the date on the top of the battery. Also Julio Battery generally gives a 6 month warranty which is stamped on top on purchase. I have been coming to these guys whenever I have needed a battery for over 10 years and have never gone wrong. read more

Julio Battery and auto center is great, better than the car dealer since they do everything and have good prices. This shop has everything, electric service, tire, breaks, engine, tune up, transmision, oil change, batteries.....it is a one stop full auto service like a dealer but with faster and better prices. All the mecanics are well trained, the owner is very helpful and the secretary is great, she call every where in San Diego to find me the best price for my car parts. I will never go back to the expensive dealer I use to go on the mile. I really recommend this place for all auto needs. read more
