The sign says roast beef but it's clearly Ham

How is this place still in business. I hated the shitty food 5 years ago and in 5 years it only got worse. Nothing even looks appetizing the signs over the food are completely wrong and the few things I tried tasted horrible and old. I've eaten at places that were questionable and hours later you regret your decision well I'm already feeling like I have food poisoning and I just pushed my plate away...... STAY AWAY FROM THIS TOXIC PLACE!

If you like your ice cream topped with unknown gunk this is the place to be.

You can taste the love and tradition in the family recipes passed down from their Nonna--God rest her soul. That kind of cooking simply can't be replicated. The eggplant parmigiana was delicious, the sausage was incredible, and even the chicken dish whose name I can't remember had me in absolute heaven. Everything was SO good. I didn't even get a picture of the food because I was too busy talking, eating, and enjoying every last bite--and I think that says it all. Definitely a must-try. I will absolutely be back the next time I'm in New York.

My brother was coming up from the south and wanted some good Italian food, so here we are. When we got there we were quickly seated and served, 4 fairly large men with a big appetite. The service was outstanding and the food was amazing. Two had the steak and others had the meatballs and sausages with pasta and gravy. It was delicious. Our waitress was great, occasionally checking in on us and if we needed anything, everything was great. This place is a gem!!

Will say the dining room is beautiful and spacious. Had to get someone attention to order in, kind of weird but it was fast enough. So when The guy was showing me the menu, was cool of him to make suggestions since first time for me, he did jokingly say the end part of menu is popular since the Americanized Chinese food, I laughed and am like nah am here for the traditional, he give his suggestions in the traditional menu of what's popular, but I settled on beef ribs, white rice, pork dumplings and strawberry boba slush. For the drink, it was very refreshing and just the right amount of sweet, though I wish it had strawberry boba over the tapioca pearls. The pork dumplings were piping hot and very fresh, plenty of filling inside and not greasy. The dipping sauce was tangy and very vinegary forward, definitely a flavor trip. The beef ribs, were so melt in your mouth tender and flavorful, I really like gravy type sauce it was bathed in and really great ladled on the rice. Do wish I had more ribs though, since definitely the part of the meal, plus the plate it comes on, sells the meal. I did really appreciate how kind the people were here and very friendly as well.

After leaving and coming back in 15 minutes, the counter guy seemed to forgot I even ordered from him and had to remind him my order. That red flag went up when I got my food and found it was plain fried chicken wings, with pork fried rice, and soup was right. Honestly I should had it fixed since I checked it before I left, but I mean guy had such a short term memory and am like why bother. Chicken wings themselves were good, the typical average, rice was alright and the wonton soup, very good and had plenty of filling. If try them again am going write on menu EXACTLY what I want. Never seen any other take out with spicy BBQ wings, Shame I got plain Jane where any other place has that. I will give them some praise for having a very cheap lunch special menu actually below $7.

The shrimp Lo-mein was just awful. It tasted very odd to me, unlike any lo-mein I've ever had before from any other establishment. The flavor was sort of charred but in a bitter, burnt soy sauce way. Didn't like it at all. The ambiance? Well, it was seriously disturbing. The small dining area was completely sealed off from the public by a sheet of plywood, and there were 2 CHILDREN - a boy and a girl, probably aged around 6-8 years old, literally SLEEPING sounding in the dining room area on a mattress ON the FLOOR - I kid you not. It definitely did not seem like something that would be allowed in the USA, and is highly likely to be a health code violation! . It was rather disturbing to see - right there in the dining area, in plain sight of the public. And It looked as though one of the bench style table seating areas had even been removed to create room for the bed area. Just absolutely bizarre!

The waitress never once asked how our food was, never asked if we wanted another beverage, never asked if we wanted dessert, and when we asked for additional sauce, she acted as though we were inconveniencing her. As soon as it appeared we were finished, our plates were taken away and the check was essentially tossed onto the table. We didn't make a single complaint during the meal. Normally, I'll simply eat the bad meal, pay the bill, and make the decision to never return. No scene, no argument, no bad review. But then came the part that really surprised us. We paid our bill by card, but planned on leaving the server a cash tip, which is something I personally prefer to do because I like knowing the server receives their tip directly. Apparently, because there was no tip written on the credit card receipt, the waitress came back to our table and loudly said, "You didn't tip." In a restaurant full of people, being publicly called out about a tip was incredibly uncomfortable and embarrassing. And the irony is that we had not complained once about the cold food, the service, or anything else. Needless to say, there won't be a next time. On top of the experience, the restaurant itself felt dirty and run down, and there was a noticeable odor. The two fish tanks--without fish and apparently without much attention either--certainly didn't help. They looked and smelled like they had been forgotten about a long time ago. Maybe the food and service are better on another night, but based on our experience tonight, we won't be finding out. Sometimes the best way to lose a customer isn't one big mistake. It's a whole series of little ones--and then making sure they feel uncomfortable before they leave.
