The food here is not the best.. spring rolls are pretty good, but everything else is very rushed, generic, not cooked fresh at all.

I use to order from this restaurant a lot because it is nearby. Food was always good and taste fresh. I went in to order a few weeks ago, the restaurant was empty, I saw a cook in the back of the kitchen, cleaning under his fingernails, wiped fingers on apron, and proceeded to cook. I could see myself halfway digging the food here if I was almost blacked out drunk and getting terrorized by the munchies. However, since I ended up here during what was a long day of sobriety, I didn't really even want a drink until after I'd left. Being in control of your faculties (i.e. not drunk) puts you in an unenviable place when visiting Jumbo China. You notice things you'd otherwise either blow off or miss entirely. For instance, if I was wasted, I wouldn't have thought twice about the guy behind the counter spitting into the trashcan as I approached to place an order. A trashcan not too far from the food being cooked, might I add. I'm not entirely unfeeling, you understand. I know full well that sometimes a person gets compromised by cheeks full of mucous and has to relieve the mouth. I'm just saying that maybe this dude could've excused himself quietly, or maybe played it off like he was bending down to tie his shoe or something. I know what you're thinking - I should've taken off running. If the employee's swarthiness wasn't enough to put me on skates, the disrepair of the establishment should've sealed the deal. The walls were in desperate need of painting, the dim lighting did nothing for my mood and it all seemed to just steel my will further. It was foolhardy, however brave. Heroic, even. Many would liken me to a knight. I ordered the steamed dumplings and bbq'd ribs because I'm a snob when it comes to Chinese American Cuisine. I usually go to spots like this one for chicken wings and fries or egg rolls and other goofy shit. I refuse to fake the funk. Done well, they can be awesome guilty pleasures. Not at Jumbo China, though! This small order not only clocked in at a pricey $11, but it was an entirely disastrous meal. Starting with the dumplings that fell apart after one bite - every time, a gray, bland pork ball would fall out and hit my plate with a sickening splat. I only had two before I noticed a 1/4 inch piece of metal sticking out of one. See the photo. When I gave it back to the guy, he apologized and made me a new batch, which I gave to my brother. But what about the ribs? Well, I had them first. They were okay, but messy as heck. I'm not one to be all finger-licky in a restaurant, so we're talking about a 20 napkin party here. A party that I threw for myself and cried at. Without a drop of liquor in me. But I'll tell ya one thing's for sure - I'd have to be downright drunk as hell before I'd ever consider coming back to Jumbo China. read more

Food was delicious! The portions were amazing for the price (we got the combination specials). The service was nice and fast. The building is very small but looks like its taken care of and clean. I will definitely be trying this place again. I ordered the egg foo young combo with fried rice & egg roll, and some crab Rangoon. It was all hot, fresh, and delicious! I was happy to find out that the crab Rangoon was savory instead of sweet, and that the fried rice wasn't yellow. The egg foo young gravy was especially delicious! read more

I wanna start off by saying that they are rude I came in to order a shrimp fried rice and an order of beef and broccoli shrimp fried rice shrimp was not clean at all there was feces within the track of the shrimp if you know shrimp and no seafood that you're supposed to clean the shrimp track out which they did not do they proceed to sell that and cook it that way and the beef and broccoli the beef was undercooked I brought the food back to get a refund and they gave me grief about me tasting the food to see if it was OK read more

at our usual chinese food spot their prices went up and quality went down so we've been trying to find a decent restaurant. im not saying it's the best chinese food i've ever had but it was affordable and still tasty although the egg rolls were alittle greasy otherwise i had no complaints read more

This place is packet full of unicorns and happy mythological creatures. They are pleasing to the palate, with hints of berry and seagrass. Nothing screams Chinese Food quite like a barefoot frolic in the woods like these. I would highly recommend it. With mustard read more

Off day? Ambiance ZERO. Food - tasteless. Egg rolls disappointing. Got Sweet & Sour Chicken. Ample quantity of chicken, however, no flavor. Sweet and Sour sauce literally tasteless and contained NOT one piece of green pepper, pineapple . . NOTHING. So, I was eating chicken nuggets with sweet and sour sauce and white rice. A little pricey for takeout Chinese food, but pretty tasty. Large portions, and the free 2 liter with a $25 purchase was a nice surprise when picking up. However, we could've gotten the same food for $20 or less at any other nearby Chinese joint. This is a 2 star establishment... I am giving it 3 stars because when you are tipsy their food is everything! I always order 4 egg rolls, a sesame chicken combination, and general tso combination. The place needs some renovation... It's mostly a pickup jownt. My boyfriend picked up on an obvious eyeroll from the girl behind the counter when we politely asked to split our check between cash and a card. I mean... Average strip mall Chinese food that costs a little more than I would like for what it is. Portions are good, as most Chinese restaurants are. Really, one meal is enough for two. Personally I think the spicy dishes could be spicier, but if you like low-moderate heat they're fine. read more

I used to eat here all the time. The lunch special was a great deal. However, over the past year or so the food has gone WAY down hill. we've given Jumbo China many chances but this past chance was it for us. First and foremost the service stinks. They act as if they could care less that you are giving them business. They are VERY rude and very unwelcoming. The food. The ONLY thing good we picked up from there was the rice. The TSO chicken had an odd, hard, stringy texture, the egg rolls were grey in color and tasted weird and the Lo Mien literally smelled like urine. It smelled like someone literally peed in the noodles. Im not putting this to try and ruin their reputation. Im simply stating my opinion so that I may possibly save you time and money and maybe the owners will read this review and try and improve upon their service. I do not recommend.
