This is a 3.5 rating. I came here for lunch for the first time. The atmosphere is very clean but very plain. No decor at all. The booths were comfortable. The prices are not posted, I had to ask. I was seated right away and my water was brought quickly. There were very few sushi choices. They had the typical offerings for a buffet but smaller than the one in Cary. My favorite hot item was the sweet and sour chicken. The spring rolls and eggs roll was very bland. Did not finish either one. I was disappointed they didn't have many shrimp offerings. I tried the stuffed shrimp and saw the smallest shrimp I have ever seen. My server was Amy and I have never seen such a beautiful smile. She was wonderful and brought the rating up for sure. When I review restaurants, I don't hold them to unrealistic standards--I judge them based on what they are. If I'm going to a Chinese buffet, I expect a certain level of quality for that category. Given the quality of all too many "Chinese" buffets, this place is a welcome surprise. It ISN'T haute cuisine, but if that's what you're looking for, why got to a moderately priced Chinese buffet? I'll put it this way: the quality and selection, the "value," exceeds the price. I am NOT a vegetarian, but have been pleased on two visits to find I could eat my fill on nicely prepared and tasty fish and seafood without ever needed to go near the meat offerings. That said, the several of the meat items I did sample were quite good. The only downside to this place is its popularity: when it gets crowded it is something of a 3-ring circus, so lunch -if you can do it- it a better, far less chaotic option. read more

I love this place and the staff are amazing! The food is pretty good but there are some accessibility issues that make it difficult to eat here as a disabled person. I 100% don't think it's done out of malice at all, as it's common oversight in the restaurant industry. Tables are all very low to where I can't really get close enough in my wheelchair, so I end up having to prop my plate up to not hurt my back. The labels on the food containers aren't very visible and sometimes incorrect to what food is there at the moment. Highly recommend this place and the amazing staff if you're looking for a lovely Chinese buffet! For my fellow disabled folks; you might have to get a little creative with adapting things to work for you here but I still highly recommend this place! read more

What happened to China King buffet in Fuquay? I went for take out last week and first of all, there were no Spring Rolls and there was no section labeled for Spring Rolls. The fried rice was so greasy I had to throw it out. I guess they no longer care because people are eating there anyway. I will never eat there again. read more

MISERABLE OWNER/MANAGER I was dining at this location. The buffet had only ONE waiter in charge of the area I was seated at. The Owner/Manger was yelling at the only person working that area to clean the tables as she proceeded to bang on the table that needed to be cleaned as a family was walking in to be seated. It was extremely loud and inappropriate. As the waiter walked to my table to pick up my plate I proceeded to ask if the person yelling was her boss which she said yes. Before I managed to ask another question the boss was at my table. I asked her respectfully if she thought it was appropriate to yell at her employee in that manner and she said "you've never been here this is my voice" I said that doesn't matter you shouldn't have humiliated her with the way you acted. She proceeded to say "I've been here for over 20 years if you don't like the way I am you can leave the waiter bigger tip" extremely frustrated I went to pay my tab and handed the waiter a tip because she did a great job. Four soups. Best items are the white steamed fish (very authentic), mein fun, and pang beef. I had the sweet and sour soup that needed more black vinegar (maybe it is adjusted for the locals). Hot food kept coming out and stations filled. Nothing under the heatlamp too long. Score: 3/5 Service: Very chinese, meaning that they're straight and to the point. Plates were removed regularly and drinks refilled without asking. Score: 5/5 Location: covid regulations allow for cleaner eating. Was given a plastic glove and we had foam plates and forks. Pleasantly surprised. I'd give this place a 3.5 stars if I can. It was better than I expected for a buffet despite several negative reviews. Although they mass produce dishes here (so expect fast food quality), overall the food was tasty. This place is located in a strip mall so parking is convenient. I visited on a weekday for lunch so the buffet cost $7.75 per person (I believe dinner is a little over $10). The dining area is large and spacious with plenty of natural light coming in which I appreciated. I was greeted promptly and seated right away. The buffet itself has a lot to offer and plenty of variety. They offer stir fried items, deep fried items, soups, a hibachi station, sushi, dessert, and random cold items. I did appreciate the sushi section, however, I wish they had more selections of sushi (maybe on weekends they have more?) For the price, you can't really beat this place. If you're like me, you go to a buffet for the variety and quality is a bonus. I think everything here is pretty good. Nothing is super great. Although the Mongolian grill was surprisingly good. I just wish it weren't such a wait. I come here for things like crab Rangoon, which I would never order or buy à la carte. I don't do desserts, But I did have one of the yeast buns which reminded me of Golden Corral. It's clean enough, and Service is attentive enough. This place is a total hole in the wall and has to cheat on it's inspections somehow, but I still love it...kinda. There is this lady who may be the owner but may also be a man who also I think lives there, no joke, she's there from open to close everyday. If you're really lucky you might see a show if you go during the busy time. And by that I mean you might see five 300-400lbs people wearing sweatpants come in and pretty much clean out the buffet in one pass, two plates each. I can only assume it's like watching whales eat tons of fish, or possible starved velociraptors devour a cow, both extraordinary sights to behold. One time I even got to see all of these people order their own pitcher of extra sugar generic soda and get refills, I think if they had bowls at the buffet instead of plates they would have just mixed the soda with the food to eat it faster. This show is almost worth an extra admission fee itself, consider yourself lucky if you see it. The food here is really good especially given the price. The black pepper chicken has become a favorite of mine. The general tso's is on par with most others as is their crab rangoon. Don't eat the sushi...I'm not sure any of it is real and they keep adding water to the wasabi as it gets low. Lunch is your best value but there is also a total rush most days and it can get crowded. At dinner they add some seafood to the buffet such as clams in some sort of brown sauce, mussels, and deviled crabs. Pro Tip: Go during a busy time. If you come here say at the start of the dinner rush to beat the crowd, you had better enjoy eating 4 hour old food leftover from lunch. haha. As far as service goes...don't expect any, especially if it's crowded. You may finish your first plate before you get your drink. You may not get a refill. Your server will most likely not understand anything you say. So be prepared for that. read more

I would give this a 3.5 because I actually think this place is pretty solid in the essentials and with what they have. It's a buffet so I think one should have realistic expectations with food being warmed out and made in large quantities. Regardless, they have good staples that I always enjoy such as the different variations of shrimp (salt and pepper shrimp, coconut shrimp, and butterfly fried shrimp)! That's something I absolutely recommend getting and I always get here and has never been bad! It's only during dinner or weekends they have better selections but the coconut chicken is also good and I'd still eat for lunch specials. Really seafood is the main thing you should be going for here besides the shrimp, I'd recommend the calamari, crawsfish, mussels, salmon and clams! I also enjoy the chow fun/mein as it's my staple any place! I think those are the stars at this buffet, but you can also get hibachi and there's also sushi if you're okay with not the freshest you'd taste. Dessert is usually meh for me here and the individual ice cream packages I'm not a huge fan of unfortunately and prefer soft serve or the large buckets of different ice cream. TLDR; get the shrimp, calamari, chow fun/mein noodles, seafood and then whatever else you like P.S. I hardly liked anything I tried and most of the dishes were bland. - The buffet wasn't clean. Came at about 11am on a Sunday cause I was passing through and love to eat. I dined alone (as I often do, I'm fine, just like eating alone) and the wait staff was still very attentive. The food was hot and fresh and the restaurant was already a little busy. Sushi definitely wasn't a quality I'm interested in but it still tasted fresh and not prepackaged. Did not try the hibachi bar or see anyone else ordering from there so not sure that's good. What I did like about this buffet was options, value, freshness.
