First time here on a Saturday before watching a concert nearby ! No specials on Saturday . Two bottles of beer $5.00 each one . My hub n I had tuna sandwiches $17.00 dollars each and was ok mine could have been cooked less by two minutes. Also said seasoned fries but they didn't have any seasonings I tasted . Second time for lunch recently with clients as it's convenient to our office. If you are on a time crunch, table service may not be the best bet. Seemed like the bar area service was moving along a bit quicker. Got the fish bowl both times, huge portion and tasty. Presentation was on point, everything looked perfect, the others got the poke bowl and chicken salad. All seemed satisfied. Bathroom stalls definitely needed some attention!! There was one overcooked shrimp, a small piece of tasteless mahi and one and half scallops (sliced horizontally to appear as if there were 3), which was also overcooked and tasteless. The salad itself tasted like bagged salad from the supermarket. The restaurant is not cheap. I live walking distance but will not return. read more

We came on a Saturday night and were surprised that it wasn't too crowded, though it did get more crowded later into our meal. There are lots of restaurant and bar/brewery options where Jumby Bay is located, so there's definitely a lot of competition in the area. One thing I want to commend Jumby Bay on is the quite extensive menu. You can get burgers, sandwiches, wings, seafood, other island food options, and more. There's truly something for everyone. I decided on the Hangover Smash Burger which came with bacon, cheese and a fried egg. The burger was good. I really enjoyed having the egg on it, and the bacon was yummy. The burger patties themselves were good but they could've used a bit more of a flavor, which I can't quite put my finger on. Waited 10 more minutes for one of the 2 waitresses to show up. There were 4 occupied tables besides us inside and out. I've never had a bad meal at Jumby! The food is consistently hot and fresh, and always tasty. The service is hit or miss. The servers are always pretty nice but they can disappear for long periods of time. I've had this experience with multiple servers, so I can't and won't single anyone out, but it is what it is. The vibe is fine, but the booths are incredibly uncomfortable. I always find myself using the pillows for extra comfort. I also want to mention that the Jambalaya, while a cute play on words, is definitely more akin to gumbo than normal Jambalaya. I didn't get it this time around, but it's a tasty option. I think my biggest complaint would be how pricy items are, and the fact that entrees don't come with sides, they must be added on for an additional cost. All that being said, living in Abacoa, I would say Jumby is probably the best and most consistent option, food wise downtown. read more

This is a great restaurant in the outskirts of the stadium in the heart of FAU. My "lobsta bisque" was delicious and served at a perfect temperature. There were plentiful crumbles of lobster throughout the bisque. Who would think of enjoying a hot soup at 83 degrees but I recommend trying it. My bushwhacker burger came topped with batter dipped bacon which at first I did not like until I dipped it in the garlic aioli- now amazing. The mushrooms were plentiful and seasoned perfectly with the burger. The burger was a generous size so I opted not to eat the bun. My dessert of Key Lime pie created a wonderful ending to a delightful lunch before the Cardinals Marlins game. read more

It was ok, the tuna was tough and it felt straight out of the freezer as it was still very cold. It was cut like a piece of cake which made it difficult to cut. The rice and veggies were good. Went here around 2pm on a Sunday. No wait time as we were probably the only 2 table there. Not sure why the server took so long to come over then took longer with coming back to take the order. Kids meals were $5.99. Ordered a kids meal for my kid and asked if we can have any other side other than fries. Was told they can do a cup of fruit for an up charge. Sure let's do it. Bill came later and the little side of fruit was $4! That's like almost the price of the kids meal. When we asked the server about this ridiculous price he said because they had to cut the fruits freshly. That makes no sense. The food was good, I say 7 out of 10. Wasn't great but it was satisfying. The server being very slow and not attentive along with some ridiculous charge for a tiny cup of fruit is what will keep me away. Don't think I will be returning. read more

The lobster Mac says smoked Gouda on the menu, and it was definitely smoked gouda, it was all you could taste, literally penne pasta, a butt load of Gouda and some what I'm assuming is langostines. A small basket of fries $4.50. 2. The shrimp and scallop salad was one of our favorites. Buyer beware! They use to give you a nice helping of full size scallops. Now they cut the scallops horizontally and you essentially get half of what you use to get. Do you think your patrons like a half dried out overcooked scallop? 3. Fish Special - market rate. My fault for not asking the cost, but $39 for a piece of fish over a bed of rice and salad is just absurd. Ps. No sides with this meal either. It was good. 4. You are acting like you are Ruth Chris Steak house and you are not. Give your customer the sides that they are accustomed to. Why did I give them 2 stars? Simple. i went here recently with my brother, twin sister, and our friend. we have been here before for dinner with no issue. we are all 21 or over and gave our ids upon walking in when asked. immediately the very young "bouncer" told us to "get out of here", we were too young, and insisted on our ids being fake. (they were not) he grilled us about our addresses and birthdays, which we all got correct, and then asked us why we are in florida because our ids are from another state. after answering his question and telling him to try and scan it he told us we had to leave for no reason and never actually tried scanning any of our ids. they were not fake and he had no reason to believe they were other than us looking young. Im not sure if this bouncer was new and inexperienced or if the establishment doesn't want younger patrons but either way 1/10 service. we left and went to one of the many other bar/restaurants in the area! read more

My children and I stopped in at Jumby bay while at a local festival in downtown ABACOA. It Is my go to restaurant because I love the food and vibe. I always sit outside and have always had a wonderful experience. However, last night my daughter, 14, wanted some French fries and so we sat outside and waited for our server. A very unpleasant long blonde headed young lady reluctantly took our order and soon brought us fries and 3 drinks. My 14 year old was paying the bill because she treating us...lol! She went in to pay because she has Apple Pay and I was going to leave cash for the tip. When my daughter came back from paying, the server was following her and continued to reprimand and belittle us all because my daughter didn't tip her on her card. She didn't realize that I was going to leave her a very nice tip considering the bill was a total of $10. She informed us that if we arent going to tip then maybe we should get our food to go next time. Let me also mention that this very unpleasant child brought our food and left. We had to ask a bus boy for ketchup. My thought...I know that waiting tables is a daunting task. It can be very hard work. But if you are going to work for tips...then work for your tip. Her behavior was unacceptable in my opinion and if I were the owner/manager of this establishment I would really reconsider her employment. I have been going there for years and will continue to go but I would certainly warn anyone against letting this young lady have anything to do with your service. read more

The wait staff was wearing masks, but all patrons at the bar inside were closer than 6-feet and none were wearing a face covering. As for the food, as I mentioned, they were large portions. Coming into the restaurant the ambience and atmosphere were nice. The staff was helpful. Our waiter's name was Mark, he was friendly enough. As an appetizer we had the Jumby Smokin' Fish Dip, it's an appropriately, light appetizer. The "smokin" part comes from the fact that it's served with jalapenos on the side, not that the dip itself is spicy, which works great! The main dish I had was the Cruz Bay Penne Pasta. It was highlighted on the menu as one of the most popular, "recommended" dishes. It was ok, not phenomenal. It's probably recommended more for how general the ingredients in it are, not so much for it's excellence, but it does the job if you're hungry. It wasn't a total waste to try it. I would explore all of the other options on the menu, before I got it again if I ever come back. Which I propably will. The music and "Island vibes" were nice. It's a cool spot. read more
