I rented another jumper (20x20) for 3 days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) this past weekend for the kids to play. Everyone had a blast and kept wanting to go in it even when it was raining on Saturday. The jumper dries up quickly, but we grabbed a towel and gave it a good wipe down when mother earth decided to stop crying. Drop off was pleasant. They came to drop off, set up, and left. Mini conversation was nice while they were setting up as well. The jumper was cleaned, thanks to Philip(?) who was cleaning it on Friday when him and Kenji dropped it off. Philip was working hard because those sweats don't lie, lol. Used 2 outlets for the jumper, so be sure to have outlets available. And that they do not connect to each other, so the electricity would not shut off because of too much power. Kenji came to pick up with Philip around 8-9pm on Sunday. Backstory- Prior to booking with Jump N Party, I had booked from a different company...I get a call the day BEFORE and they cancelled on me around 4:30pm! I was livid, and had to start frantically looking for places to book at such last minute. I will never go to any other business for jumper rentals. We rented a 16' water slide for my sons birthday. I can across Jump'n'Party after reaching out to one other business 5 times with no success of hearing back. There are a lot of Bounce House/Jumper rentals in the Bay Area, and many of them with double or triple the amount of reviews on Yelp. Honestly, I looked at all the others before I checked out Jump N Party. It's the Yelp mentality, flock to the one that has the most reviews that have good rating. I'm glad I didn't and went with a less popular company in Jump N Party. I looked at choices, prices, and policies from all the bounce house rental places. What attracted me to Jump N Party were the prices. Their prices are very competitive. In fact it was probably the best. It may not be drastically cheaper but $10-20 cheaper is still being cheaper. And the fact they dont have hidden fees like many of the other "popular highly reviewed" competition seen on Yelp. What I mean is, some places no matter where in the Bay Area you are delivering to (even if they are based in the same area you will be delivering to), they add delivery surcharge of $10 and goes up from there. And if you rent the cotton candy machine, some places don't include the cones or the sugar unless you pay extra. With Jump N Party it was all up front cost, no hidden fees, and I did rent a cotton candy machine and it did include cones and sugar. I booked fairly late (about a week before the event) and Kenji was able to accommodate. Communication was always very quick. On the day of the event he got there right on the time promised--in fact he beat me to the location. This is also a difference from other rentals as some places are very strict with drop off and pick up times. Kenji basically was nearly open to any time. This is a big deal if you are renting a location and there is an event before hand and you can't setup until a certain time. So major points on that. Overall, everything was perfect and had no issues with my experience with Jump N Party. read more

Revised **Review** is for service provided on May 2011 I wanted to try a new vendor and Jump N Party was the one I chose. I spoke with Kenji and in the beginning he was professional and seemed like someone who you can work with. I was completely wrong with the professional part! How I found JumpNParty was I searched on Google for a specific jumper and low and behold the specific jumper I found was in the results page. When I clicked on the link, from Google, it linked me directly to a webpage on JumpNparty website. I called the number at the bottom of the webpage and Kenji returned my call and I asked him if he has the specific jumper I was looking for which was on his website available for rent. He said yes, it is available. I double checked and said this is the specific jumper I see on your website and it's available. He kept saying yes. So I booked it. When it was delivered to my house and setup it was not the jumper I wanted at all. It was close but it was not exactly the same jumper I saw on his webpage. I called Kenji and mentioned this to him and as I was talking to him, I could tell he was trying to sway to indirectly put blame on me that I ordered the wrong jumper. After searching on Google again and typing in the name of the jumper in Google I clicked on the linked which redirected to the specific page on his website which showed the jumper I wanted. After reading the details to him and then investigating the specific page Kenji told me it was his wholesale page for "sales" of the jumper. Then Kenji proceeded to tell me that he does not even sell jumpers anymore and that this page should not even be up on his site. Kenji then proceeded to tell me it was my fault! I am responsible for this. This upset me because, as you never blame a customer at all and try to do your best to accommodate in some form, secondly, you admitted the webpage for wholesale products should not even be listed anymore. He told me I should have not navigated to the sales page. But I never did! The sales page, which he said was not supposed to be there, to begin with was crawled by Google and provided a link to the jumper I was looking for. So I did not navigate his website. Obviously he did not understand that when you search on Google, the results of the search do not necessarily go to the homepage of any websites. It can provide a link directly to a specific page. In my case, Google provided me a link which directed me to a link of a page which showed jumpers which were really for sale but he did not have a wholesale business anymore. What a joke to get blamed for something which was not your fault and also when people do not have the patience to try and understand because they think they are too busy to do so. My issue with Kenji, was the impatience, rude customer service and most importantly, blaming me, as the customer as it was my fault that I clicked on the wrong page which was not for jumper rentals but was for jumper sales which he does not even do anymore. He frankly told me he did not care about what I thought and it was my choice to keep what I have or wrap it up with no fee. The funny thing is he made it sound like he was doing me a favor by not charging me for wrapping it up and taking it out For the time of mine that he wasted, it was probably worth it for me to have just spent $2000 to buy a jumper and donate it my local YMCA. I normally do not like to take the time to post a long messages like this but I want to make sure the that the lady who wrote a review about her getting pressured to rent the jumper or she would get charged a cancellation fee when in turn he told her several times he wouldn't. I take a couple things into account here. 1. The jumper, which was the wrong one, I ended up keeping anyway just because I did not want to deal with wasting any more time trying to find another. Kenji knew this so he had leverage on this one. 2. Kenji's attitude is typical of a someone who concentrates on the sales but not necessarily on the actual customer service of the product they are providing and the misinformation of what his (not so well maintained) website was sharing. 3. The overall experience was half star, because I enjoyed speaking to the guy who delivered the jumper and because the jumper itself was working as it should. My final thoughts if you rent from them or anyone else. MAKE SURE YOU GET IN WRITING OR NOTATE EXACTLY THE JUMPER YOU want to rent If you decide to rent from him, hopefully you will not have any issues and will not be treated like a person who had no idea what they were doing as he did. His unprofessional manner, demeanor and lack of effort and time in problem solving the customers' needs to be improved. Trying to talk his way into putting sole blame on me was just outright awful and ridiculous! I will make sure to let me friends know about my experience so at least they are warned. I reserved a party game and then canceled within 15 hours, leaving a very polite message and thanking him for the help. He called back to let me know that it was "not cool" to cancel and that he suspected from the beginning that I would cancel so he never reserved the equipment for me, then hung up. I called right back (he didn't answer) and left him a message letting him know I didn't appreciate the scolding and that he really should have a better policy toward reservations and cancellations than simply getting mad at prospective customers. I ordered a jump house and another item a couple months before my event. As the date approached, I noticed that the weather reports did not bode well for the day of my event. I asked Kenji 2 or 3 times about his policy on cancellations and how much notice I needed to give him. He said I could cancel up until a couple hours before the event. He said he wouldn't dare charge me for items I did not use if I did cancel. However, when I called him the night before the event to cancel, he went off about how I was losing him business; how he could've rented those items to someone else..... !ZERO STARS! No customer service skills. *Update* Kenji continues to harass me with phone calls & messages and I reported him already 8/23/16. Review is for the owner Kenji and not his two associates who set up the slide. I reserved the big water slide with a pool at the end. The cost was $350 (slide) +$40 deposit. Two guys came on time to set it up (no issues with these two guys, very helpful and honest). We initially wanted the slide to be placed in the backyard. However, according to Kenji the owner, and from his recommendation, he advised the two guys set up in the front of our house since they're the expert. Right off the back, the two gentlemen shared they had trouble connecting the pool to the slide due to velcro issues (you can see the slide is old and worn out). They warned us the velcro does not stay and will not stay and that I should warn our guests/sliders to jump over the velcro area and avoid it. (I'm thinking, we are going to be having issues and my guests/sliders will be stepping over this part and somebody's going to get hurt, especially 4-5 year old kids). The initial set-up had the slider area parallel with the sidewalk. I can already see from the way the slide was set up, that it was going to be a safety and liability issue because I had my husband go down the slide when the set up was finished, to test it out. When he was sliding down, his body was shifted towards the sidewalk as if he was going to fall off and into the concrete side walk. I addressed my concern with the 2 gentlemen setting up and they shared they have another party to go to and will not have time to adjust the slide. I called the owner Kenji and discussed my concerns and that this was going to be a liability issue. I told him that I won't be able to use the slide and will not allow any of my guests on the slide because the set up was not safe. After this discussion, he talked to the 2 employees and they agreed to turn it the opposite way as long as I had at least two others guys on my side to help move it. I told him I had three guys available to help out and so they turned it around (with the help of our 3 guys). Once the slide was re-positioned, it appeared to be safer since the slide was now on the opposite end. However, I was still troubled with the slide because of the velcro not staying attached to the slide because it was so worn out. (In my opinion, the slide is so old, it should be trashed and would continue to be a liability to others who want to rent it.) But since it was already forewarned to me that the velcro was having issues and will not be attaching to the slide appropriately, I'm going to perceive it as "this will by my problem the entire day with my guests and I'll have to stand watch to warn everyone." Once we filled the pool with some water and had some more test slides, the velcro seams began to burst away from the slide and was becoming undone. This caused the pool to deflate, which was another concern I had. Then, after a few test slides, the slide and pool itself was sliding more and more to the side walk since it was not secured down properly. (I know this because one of the guys mentioned they had stakes to stake it down to the grass and I said I would like that, however because of their tight schedule, running to set up another party, they did not have the time to stake it down.) They left us with "a" sandbag so we can attach it "ourselves" to secure the slide/pool. Well, I'm not the expert here-they should have taken the time to secure it properly so that I would have one less issue. They assured us the slide/pool will be fine. (No, it was not okay because we had to use our own equipment and creativity to tie up the pool and slide-using our own tie down straps (with cranks) to keep the pool and slide from moving any further. This only helped temporarily until everyone got tired of the pool not functioning appropriately and just stopped using it overall. Set up was done approximately 11:40am and our guests did not arrive until 3pm. We stopped playing with the slide/pool before 6pm and the water was turned off by 5pm. That was literally, 3 hours for $350 for us. Kenji was out in the front yard rolling up the slide and I came out to address some of the concerns. He said, "You should've called me." His employees assured me there was an ongoing issue with the velcro and there's nothing that can be done. I didn't think there was anything else he can do and I am stuck with the slide anyway. Yes, I should have called Kenji to address concerns, but if your staff says there's a problem with the velcro from the beginning, they shouldn't be renting out this slide period with all of its issues. That's just "COMMON SENSE"- in Kenji's words. It's just "COMMON SENSE" to maintain the integrity of your jumpers and replace the velcros. Wouldn't want anyone else hurt from the velcros. I've used this company about 4 times (just used them this weekend) I have always been extremely happy with their service and professionalism. Whenever they are really busy the on the weekend they tell me they may deliver early and pick up later and there's no extra charge (I had another company one year that delivered the jumpy 2 hours earlier and they said they will need to pick it up 2 hours earlier..even tho I had ordered it to be picked up at a later time.. I was not happy with them and would never go with them again).. Anyways, I had a mix up this past week where (I think I gave kenji the wrong date) and they were delivering on the 8th (but I needed it for the 10th).. They were there ontime but I talked to them and they didn't have any problems delivering the jumpy for the 10th (but they had a lot of jumpers out, so they actually dropped the jumpy off on friday.. no extra charge).. However, when they showed up, the driver told us they didn't provide all the supplies need to make snow cones -apparently, they only rent the machine and cups. My wife declined to take the machine. She called the office to explain why and what happened next was amazing. Instead of apologizing for not being clear, the guy on the phone started berating her for being "clueless" and "a joke". WTF? After hearing this, I called Jump N N Party back to say we wouldn't be doing any future business with them and he said "Good, we don't want your business."
