I ordered crab rangoons and the steak with a side of sticky rice. The rangoons were good. The filling was very cheesy, much more than other rangoons I've had. However, I didn't like the wrapping. I prefer mine crispier. The steak was perfectly cooked. I ordered mine medium rare. It was very flavorful and served with two different dipping sauces on the side. It went really well with the sticky rice. Our server was very friendly and attentive. She and a few others came to check on us frequently. The environment is very fun and upbeat. The restaurant is brightly lit and filled with traditional Thai decor. The restaurant can get kind of loud at times since they have music playing.
Not pictured due to to go order: Lao sausage - was a bit on the plain side but the dipping sauce was great, duck larb- full of flavor, thai beef salad- refreshing and the flavor was amazing. Mee khathi 5/5 was so good, the coconut curry broth just needed a squeeze of lime & chili oil and it was exquisite! Lad nah 5/5 Pad kapow 5/5. I didn't try the boat noodles but was told it was really good. Overall, everything we ordered we liked and highly recommend!
The place was a great atmosphere, the staff were extra friendly and I mean the food was as authentic as it can get. Amazing options and real flavors. Out of everything we ordered I gotta say the platter was a favorite because of all the dishes on that platter was my fav. We got the two deserts and omg perfect for the heat

The food is good, yes. The serving sizes, I would say would be the only caveat for me. I've mentioned in my past reviews that we've seen a trend of rising meal prices at our most favorite restaurants, which is understandable, but serving sizes have also decreased. This is no exception. We ordered quite a few things, including Thom Khem (which is a delight, not a lot of restaurants have this dish) It's just like a warm hug, and so comforting to eat. Their beef intestine soup in the Sour option, another delicious soup that just wakes up your taste buds. The jumpa lao platter, a great option for shareable items, but again - wished for the price, had more serving of each variety of side item. I will probably visit again to try the other items to see how it compares to my favorite Lao restaurants, for research purposes of course ;)
Spent a couple of days in Las Vegas and found this place on Yelp. We loved every single dish we ordered. As a native Thai, I have always loved Laotian food and it was a great experience stopping by here. The service was amazing. The staff was super friendly. The food come out pretty quickly. I loved my pink drink too. The ambiance was great. Good space and well-designed. I would recommend this restaurant if you feel like authentic asian food. I think they have Karaoke night too.
Super cute spot with a great atmosphere and vibe! They even had live music, which made it even better. The waitresses were all so nice and friendly. It was pretty busy, but we didn't have to wait too long for our food. We made reservations ahead of time, and they had our table saved for us. We got the Lao papaya salad, beef jerky, fish in a banana leaf, and a curry noodle soup. Everything was absolutely delicious! Keep up the great work guys!
If I could give a higher rating I would. Bring your friends, bring your partner, parents .. I mean the more you bring the more good you can try right xD Amazing food and great service. The flavors of everything ordered were so good. Highly recommend if you can't tell. Will be back when in town!
Cool little Thai/Lao spot in Vegas. It doesn't look like much from the outside but very different in the inside. Very authentic looking and aesthetically pleasing in the inside. The food matched the atmosphere with it being very good. The Khao Piak definitely hit the spot after a night out. The service was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely visit again next time I'm in town.
Jumpha Lao Thai Bistro was so good! Everything we ordered was flavorful and satisfying. We tried the Lao sausage, Kor Moo Yang (pork jowl), sticky rice, Tom Kha soup, and Pad Kapow. The Lao sausage had great flavor, the pork jowl was tender, and the sticky rice paired perfectly with everything. The Tom Kha soup was creamy, comforting, and full of flavor, while the Pad Kapow had that savory, spicy kick we were craving. Cozy spot, good service, and definitely worth coming back to.
Second visit, overall everything has been good and flavorful. My favorites so far are the laab fried chicken, beef jerky, and tum luang prabang. Now for the ones that didn't hit for me. The nam kao is super crispy which I love, but the flavor wasn't what I was expecting, it was missing that fermented pork sausage taste and something else I couldn't put my finger on. Weirdly enough it reminded me more of a hot dog than traditional nam kao. On my first visit, the tum platter felt a little flat compared to the tum luang prabang, less depth in the flavor. And I have to be honest, the tomyum noodle was a miss for me. It didn't taste anything like tomyum noodle and missing that lime taste. I ordered everything max spicy and it wasn't immediately hot but the heat slowly built up half way through which I actually appreciated. Staff was friendly and welcoming both times. Despite a few misses I'll definitely be back to keep working through the menu!
After four years of searching for a spot that serves real Lao food, I can confidently say my search is finally over. Jumpa Lao Thai Bistro is an absolute hidden gem. I've been looking everywhere for Khao Poon, and when I saw it on their menu I almost couldn't believe it. Not only do they have it -- it actually tastes authentic, like the kind of food that isn't watered down or overly modernized for trends. You can tell this is the real deal. The Lao sausage with sticky rice immediately took me back. The flavors were so good -- savory, slightly herby, and perfect with the sticky rice. Simple but done right. We also tried the crab fried rice, which was honestly bomb. Super flavorful, not greasy, and packed with crab. And of course we had to order the papaya salad, which had the perfect balance of tangy, spicy, and fresh. What I really appreciate about this place is that it doesn't feel like one of those overly trendy fusion spots. The food tastes authentic and traditional, which is exactly what I've been hoping to find for years. If you know Lao or Thai food, you know how rare it can be to find places that serve dishes like Khao Poon -- and do it well. This spot is definitely going to be a regular for me now. Hidden gem for sure.
Wanted to try this place for a while now. Very relaxed vibe inside as we were the only group at the time. Immediately greeted and given menus. We ordered the tum jumpa platter, tom yum noodle soup, the garlic fried shrimp, and pad thai, and some crab Rangoon. Portions were enough to feed a group of 4. The tum platter was pungent and spicy. Wanted a bit more papaya than noodles. Everything came out timely! Wanted to try the mok pa but they had sold out that day.
I love Thai food! And I always like to try new places. We came here for lunch and there were not a lot of people here so the service was quick and the people were really friendly. We ordered the crab rangoons for an appetizer and you can really taste the crab! The chicken basil fried rice was also so good, the fried basil leaves gave it a different but delicious flavor! My favorite Thai dish is always Beef Pad See Eww and they didn't disappoint. Great place to satisfy that Thai craving. Excited to come back! read more
Definitely one of our favorite places to eat when it comes to Lao food in the spring mountain area. They also serve Thai food but we also enjoy this because they have some good Lao food as well Everything is amazing but the main thing that I like about this place that is different than others is that they have duck larb which is a really flavorful dish within itself. That alone is a must to pair along with whatever Thai staples you choose to order. The raw shrimp sashimi is also good if you never had it anywhere else I haven't seen this place get crazy busy so whenever we get there it's pretty chill. The service is fast since there isn't too many people. The vibe is great with table and booth seating and is spacious for large groups if needed. read more

Jumpa Lao took over the old Chuchote location, which brought back memories since I used to come here with my family years ago. I was excited to try this new Lao spot and see what they did with the space. We came on a Saturday night and it wasn't busy at all -- I think there was only one other party dining in. There's plenty of seating, the restaurant was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Food came out within a reasonable time -- not too long of a wait. Everything we ordered came out very good and authentic. I especially loved the Lao-style papaya salad -- it had great flavor and just the right balance. The crab pad Thai was also a standout and the portion was generous enough to share. The panang curry tasted good as well, but the protein portion was a bit small and mostly vegetables. The khao piak was so comforting and perfectly seasoned. Overall, we definitely enjoyed our experience and will be back whenever we're craving Thai/Lao food. read more

We were the first customers to enter on a Sunday morning giving us some peace and quiet from the previous wild night from EDC. It's a cute little place with great decor. Service was superb as the staff kept coming to check on us and cleaning our table as we ate. We got lao style papaya salad, Lao sausage, Mok pa which is fish baked in banana leaves and sticky rice. Everything was tasty and fresh- the papaya was flavorful - 10/10 would come back next time! read more

Amazing food at this place! It was not crowded when we went, place was clean, the owner was helpful and friendly. I tried the Tom Kha and sampled my friends entrees. Desserts were so good. There were a few items on the menu that were not available/sold out, so before You get excited make sure they have it available and ask or they can let you know. Would definitely come back! read more

We were looking for a good Thai/Laos restaurant and came across this gem on Yelp thanks to its amazing reviews -- and it did not disappoint! It's tucked away off the Vegas strip in the Asian district, in a quieter shopping plaza. The restaurant itself is small, but cozy and beautifully decorated to match the vibe. Even with a party of 10, they seated us easily, though I'd definitely recommend making a reservation for larger groups during peak hours. They even have a cute photo backdrop for your Insta moments! Service was fantastic -- efficient, friendly, and well-organized. Our table was set quickly, orders were taken right away, and the food came out fast and fresh. Every single dish was delicious; not one plate disappointed. The presentation was just as impressive as the flavors. The crab fried rice stood out -- a little different from the usual version, shaped into a dome and topped with a soft scrambled egg and real chunks of crab meat. It was beautifully done and tasted incredible. The sampler appetizer platter is also a must-try -- perfect for sharing and sampling all the appetizers in one dish. A big highlight was the value -- the quality of the food far exceeds the modest prices." Overall, this spot deserves all the great reviews it gets. We'll definitely be back! We recently visited Jumpa Lao Thai Bistro, and it was a fantastic dining experience from start to finish. Everything we ordered was delicious, savory, beautifully presented, and just as stunning as the photos. We shared four standout dishes: Ribeye Khao Soi; tender slices of ribeye simmered in a creamy, fragrant curry broth, with just the right balance of spice and richness. Papaya Salad Platter; crisp, tangy, refreshing, and loaded with texture. Boat Noodles; deeply savory broth, satisfying depth, and just a hint of heat. Khao Piek Sen with Roasted Pork Belly; silky rice noodle soup with succulent, crispy pork belly pieces. Each dish felt authentic and thoughtfully composed. The portion sizes were generous and perfect for sharing which is ideal for families or groups. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, clean, and warm; the ambiance added to the overall enjoyment & excellent service. Our food arrived looking great; clean plating, vibrant colors, and it tasted as good as it looked. **August 2025: Weekday Lunch Visit** I was in the mood for a hole in the wall mom n' pop shop and saw that Yelp Master Anita L gave such high praise for Jumpa Lao Thai Bistro which served authentic Laos food. So, we decided to hop in our car and drive off the strip to check it out. The restaurant had a good amount of customers for a Monday afternoon. They did have lunch specials; however, we were more interested in the signature dishes. We ordered the following *Larb Duck $19.95 - I honestly couldn't tell that the meat was duck, but it was tasty. It leans a little salty for me but I enjoyed the fresh cut vegetables to add into the endive wrap *Pad See Ew w/ chicken $15.95 - This was pretty standard. Always a good sign when a restaurant can make a solid Pad See Ew *Nam Khao Tod $17.95 (Thai Crispy Rice Salad) - The waitress informed us that the Nam Khao Tod was her personal favorite so we decided to get that. It's basically a lettuce wrap with crispy rice and vegetables. The greens were all very crisp and I enjoyed all the flavors. The Larb Duck and the Nam Khao Tod were somewhat similar so I would pick one of the two if I made a return trip. The three dishes were more than enough for two people. I think we probably could have gotten away with just the Nam Khao Tod and the Pad See Ew. Solid flavorful shop. Two thumbs up! read more

Been here probably about three times and each visit has been pleasantly good. The staff is super friendly, definitely will be continuing coming back. There is not a lot of Lao restaurants in town and I love supporting local business. One of my favorite dishes there is Nam Khao forgot to take a picture so good! read more

Small restaurant. Overall food was amazing even though we had to wait was pretty long. Boat noodle did not disappoint. Could improve on food coming out faster and cleaning off tables so next customers can be seated promptly. read more

Extremely disappointing experience. We arrived at 7:45 PM, and the sign on the door clearly stated the restaurant closes at 9:00 PM with last seating at 8:30 PM. When we first walked in, I spoke with a staff member and was told to write our names on the waitlist and wait outside. After waiting 10-15 minutes, I went back inside to check on our table, only to be told they were no longer accepting customers and refused to seat us. What makes this even more frustrating is that they could have told us that from the beginning instead of having us wait. To make matters worse, the staff's attitude throughout the interaction was rude and unfriendly. There was no apology, no explanation, and no effort to handle the situation professionally. We were treated as though we were inconveniencing them, despite arriving well before the posted last seating time. If the restaurant intends to stop seating customers earlier than advertised, they should update their posted hours or communicate that upfront instead of wasting customers' time. Good food can't make up for poor customer service, and unfortunately, this experience left such a negative impression that I won't be returning. read more

Not worth the hype! It's says they open at 11:30, get here and there's a sign saying they open til 11:45, people who came after got seated before while we stand around and they just stand there staring at us! There's plenty of table but since you have a smaller group or one more than 4 they won't seat you. I'm pretty sure they were waiting for a bigger group to fill the other empty seat. Rather go to Lao Thai street food! Service is way better and good food!!!!! Oh forgot to mention a customer asked one of the worker for something and she stopped him right then and there, told him she the server ask her. And walked away! Rude much?! Facebook makes it seems like a nice friendly good for and good vibes. It's not!!!!! Update, we had 5 people how is that big?! You can say what you like to make it seem like you tried to accommodate us. We were next in line and you guys seated the person after us a seat?! Are you serious?! Were you there?! Because I'm sure you were the rude person who didn't even wanna answer a simple question your customer asked. We did go some where else and their food was amazing as always! You had 5 tables open and 5 group of people standing there waiting to be seated! I've seen the reviews of the restaurant after coming here. I wished I looked before to save my time. So glad we came by to try their som tum (papaya salad) and beef jerky! They had a shared lot, so we didn't have trouble finding a spot at around 6:30pm on a Saturday. Ordering was pretty quick, and the food came out pretty fast, too. It wasn't super busy when we got there, so that probably helped. Now, for the food: -Som Tum Thai with Moo Yor (pork loaf/sausage): tangy, flavorful, and tasty! Loved the flavors with one exception: there was something that looked like slices of green tomato, but definitely wasn't - that was pretty bitter and not my fav, but I just avoided that and enjoyed the rest. -Lao Beef Jerky: flavorful from the marinade and from the fish sauce dipping sauce! The texture is a nice contrast, and it's definitely tasty. -sticky rice: a must-have with the above dishes! It was exactly as it should be. Definitely enjoyed dipping it into the bottom of the papaya salad bowl. Overall, definitely a fan of the food here and would return for more! read more

Me and my family came here for a taste of home on our trip to Vegas. Food: I got the boat noodle and omg it was so good. Meat was super tender and the broth had a yummy rich flavor. Comes with a side of veggies and pork rinds. My family also got an order of Tum Lao to share and we got 3 pepper. Was very yummy and spicy. Service: Our waiter was super nice and worked quickly in bringing things out (water, plates, utensils, etc). Got water refills without having to ask so that was nice. Ambiance: Super clean inside and the cutest lao/thai inspired decor I've ever. There was a spot in the corner of the restaurant for live music but we came when it wasn't in session. Overall, amazing food and service! I'd come back any time i'm in Vegas again. read more
AMAZING food and friendly service Som tum Thai- amazingly had a non spicy option for my baby, typically this is not the case. Fresh and good Pad see ew beef - beef was tough, Chinese broccoli was fresh and strong in flavor, the noodles were perfectly sweet/ savory with the fire wok taste. My daughter loved this Khao Soi chicken- my extremely picky Chinese Cambodian dad liked it so you know it has general appeal. The spice was very mild, the coconut milk was well balanced with the curry. The egg noodles tasted fresh and everything was balanced with the pickled veggies and lime. Highly recommend Ambience was clean and cozy in the dining area however the bathrooms have a very terrible BLACK MOLD problem extending in the bottomof the toilet all the way to the sink. Both me and my dad almost threw up in the bathroom due to the smell, which they tried to hide with incense and an air filter ( in unsure if that actually aerosolizes the spores though). I know restaurant margins can be razor thin, however I think the landlord needs to fix this issue. Overall the food and service was great.
