Had a big party for Thanksgiving Feast and thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. Party of 19 and had the 1:00 sitting. Seated upon arrival and greeted pleasantly. All throughout service was on point and very attentive. I must say I wanted a scotch and their selection was a double bogey, lol. By choice I'm not particularly a buffet guy, but they are practical. I must say the food choices were plentiful and continuously filled. The carving station guys were fun and having a good time! Desert room was clutch and I enjoyed the ice cream bar. Would've liked a cone choice tho. Overall, I had no issues and we were taken care of the entire time. If the family decides to do it again, I'll be there. Field Goal is Good!!! read more

Our 70th Birthday Party for my husband at Jumping Brook was outstanding! Not only did we enjoy the food, but we greatly appreciated the fabulous service that we received. Our guests are still raving about the wonderful evening. The gorgeous backdrop of the golf course and view from our banquet room added a beautiful touch to the atmosphere of our party. We were so pleased with the presentation of the meal and the exemplary service of all the staff. Kiersten was so lovely and a pleasure to work with. She was so helpful in selecting the perfect menu for our reception. We have received numerous fabulous comments on the food and we were so happy with everything Kiersten suggested. The platters were beautifully displayed with the items we had chosen. Kiersten is a pleasure to work with, accommodating, helpful and her attention to every detail shows there is definitely a sense of pride in what she does. The staff was efficient and gracious. Lady and Diamond were so helpful setting up for our party and made sure that everything ran smoothly during our event. Each of our guests have commented on how wonderful our reception was.  Our Birthday Party was a memorable night and such a special evening for us to enjoy and celebrate my husband's birthday with our family and friends. Where should I begin.... Quite interesting turn of events for my wedding . Start off with no working air conditioner in the bridal suite ! 7-8 women all getting ready with zero air . Temperature was 75 that day ! Staff is told does nothing ! 6 bottles of water two cheap champagne oh and a fruit platter from 9 to about 2 pm . No food for anyone . Was told no chef is available . But wait it gets better ! Run out of toilet paper still no ac . Bridal party has to re do hair and makeup from sweating . No fan no ac nothing is done . Starving , sweating and now it's go time . Was told upon walking down " by manager " Ron term I'll use loosely . There's enough air down here ! How lovely ... Place wasn't decorated the way they were told to do so ... emails were sent went unfollowed . Literally 30 min left til ceremony they just finished up the outside and my deceased fathers memorial chair plaque was put on back wards. 300$ in cash Maître d' fee with no Maitre d ! The manager pocketed it along with his new employee Kerry . Mind you we went through two other women who probably quit since we chose this venue in November of 2020! Six hours of no food , no ac and one bunch of pass the buck I've ever seen in my life . Ceremony is completely rushed . Cocktail hour was a fiasco . My husband had to make his own food since they pulled the staff from cocktail hour . Guests are telling me they never had the Hors d'oeuvres passed to them and last call is being given . I still haven't eaten now it's 6... But wait it gets even better .... a catered dessert tower was supposed to be put out with cake . All thrown in on a metal tin tray with one layer missing . White pastry boxes still filled with desserts thrown on a high top because 45 min left of the wedding no one did their job . And just when you think this disaster couldn't get any more vile . MY WEDDING BOUQUET WENT MISSING ALONG WITH MY BRIDAL VEIL. Attached was a trinket of my deceased father that miraculously was mailed to me today ! But a 300$ set of flowers walked off with my 7 foot cathedral veil !!!!!!! Buyer beware !!!! Place is a zoo ! Staff is rude .. wait staff was rude to my guests ! No AC in a bridal suite . One bathroom down stairs wasn't even working ! My belongings that weren't stolen were left cracked , broken and thrown into boxes in an empty old office with a ceramic floor !!!!!!! I attended a Holistic Nursing conference at Jumping Brook today and was amazed with the professional service offered by an amazing wait staff led by Anthony and supervised by Diamond! From the moment I stepped into the newly decorated facility, I was greeted by Diamond who told me she was my girl and anything I needed to ask. I was working reception. She was always available with a smile and was able to fulfill every request I had to keep our participants happy, comfortable, well fed and safe. The staff was quiet as they put our buffet lunch out... ( we were meditating) and refilled everything as requested. Even got a secret recipe ! Just kidding... no leaks here!!! As we departed, well cared for and well fed, we learned Diamond and her crew would be rolling until at least 11 pm. All smiles, efficient and happy. I managed the Monmouth County Bowling Association's Hall of Fame Dinner on a Sunday in September 2023. The day was beautiful. Everything was perfect. I could not have asked for a more attentive staff. Diamond and Lady were on top of everything we needed right from the moment I walked in. The food was great and the room had such a magnificent view. The jumping Brook country club has been a staple for many years for weddings and local prestigious events. Once a year The Greater Ocean Twp Chamber of Commerce (GOTCC) sponsors a networking and membership drive to benefit the community. Many local vendors display their wares to the public. Food & libation were available. Alcoholic beverages were not gratis. Local restaurants, banks, many retailers were on tap to be in the "eye" of the public. The grounds are very pretty & plush. I was blown away. I understand that's an odd way to begin a review for a business, but I honestly was. I've been to various country club based on the nature of my business, and of course they all have excellent attributes to them, but I'd be lying if I said Jumping Brook Country Club wasn't different. This is an elite experience and is one of the friendliest staffs out there. Everyone who I came encounter with, gave me a natural kindness and went out there way to show me around. I don't take that for granted since it was a rainy afternoon, hours before everyone was segueing into their Memorial weekend plans. Rose is one of the first people you will see upon arriving on the golf course. I cannot think of a more helpful person. Down the hall will be various people who are equally as helpful and carry themselves with pride and grace, for they know they are working for an excellent company. Everywhere I went in the facility was well-organized and super clean. I gathered many names while I was onsite, and wish I remembered each one of them. Since I don't, I won't try in the event I leave one or two people out; however, please note that I would recommend this facility to anyone looking to celebrate a big event in their life. I promise this is the type of business that feels more like a home, and will properly harness each and every good memory you create there. Excellent venue and an even better staff. We got married on 10/27/18. From the time we booked this venue to the time we got married, Kassie was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was responsive in a timely manner to any questions or thoughts I had- and I definitely had a lot!!! She was great with giving advice and recommendations and really helped me plan out of wedding in perfect detail! Megan, the maitre 'D helped execute the set up perfectly to exactly what my husband and I had imagined and MORE! The Halloween tabe we chose to have as a fun element came out AWESOME! She was also very helpful the day of and attending to us in the bridal suite. Diamond, our bridal attendant, was beyond the best ever!!! She made our cocktail hour and reception INCREDIBLE! So many people had told us that they didn't really get to eat or enjoy as much of their wedding as they wanted to, but that was far from the case for us! Diamond was there every step of the way- bringing us appetizers from cocktail hour, bringing us drinks, navigating us through guests, even taking care of some apps for my parents - she was just simply AMAZING!! We absolutely LOVED her and couldn't have bonded with a better person! She is the best of the best and an integral part of our incredible evening. Kassie, I have been part of so many weddings that when it came to ours, we knew exactly how we wanted it and what we did not want. I know I was not exactly the easiest bride with all the questions I constantly bothered you with. Throughout the whole planning process leading up to our special day, you were very receptive to our feedback and accommodating to our requests. You also told us little side tips such as asking the DJ to set up music during cocktail hour (if we never asked, they would've never done it). All our guests are still raving about the food, a few even said it was the best wedding food they've ever had. We just needed to personally thank you for all that you, Megan, and all the staff did on Friday for our wedding. When we first walked into the venue, I literally felt like I was home. All the decorations we brought earlier in the week were all in their proper place. It's like Megan knew exactly what I envisioned. It made it seem like the place was "ours." It's what made the event so special - it was so personalized. It was definitely amazing that the venue was solely ours for the night. Let's not forget how exemplary amazing the service was- the staff were all extremely attentive, helpful, kind, professional, and efficient. The bartenders were amazing, fun, and fast! We were both assigned our own personal server who was at our calling if we wanted anything. My husband loved how Megan had a brand new bottle of Heineken literally right after he just finished the prior one! We had the best day ever! You created an atmosphere for our wedding that exceeded every expectation we had. We really appreciate that we felt so taken care of. If its help on your short game you need this is definitely the place for you. Holes ranging from 120 to 190 yrds with challenging Hills plenty of water hazards, shrubbery, trees and sand traps. A little narrow, you'll find stray balls coming into your fairway from time to time. 9 holes for $13 and you circle twice or 3 times lol ( not me, of course). How could you possibly go wrong. They also offer electric golf carts for additional $13 per man. There's a small bar inside with limited food and of course there are putting & driving green along w/ mini golf. The course is kept in relatively good condition for that nice bang for the $. It feels more like a shrunken golf course then a typical pitch n putt, I highly recommend it. read more

Last night we celebrated my daughters sweet sixteen at the Jumping Brook Country Club. I must say the staff from start to finish were awesome. Our go to guy was Rich. He was on top of everything. Whatever we needed he made happen. The bartender was Sean had the drink we wanted ready and at the bar each time we went up. The servers, Diamond and Laura had smiles on their faces the entire night and helped make my daughters night a special one. The staff truly made the evening. The food was good. We had the Italian and Mexican buffet. I'd definitely Recomend having your event at the Jumping Brook Country Club. Thanks for making my daughter feel like a princess. read more

As always food was outstanding and the staff the one gentleman and young lady running our 45 person event were just so amazing the event was 3/4/18 they deserve recognition aside of the tip we left them . After a long and thorough search of wedding reception venues around Monmouth and Ocean County my wife and I chose Jumping Brook. See my previous review for thoughts prior to the wedding. Keep in mind, I am actually one of the pickiest people around, and will call a place out if it is not up to my standards. I also understand that since it was my wedding I may have had a different experience than guests, so I tried to also incorporate what I heard from them. Contact me if you have a question. Review of the Big Day! Service- The staff at Jumping Brook was on point. Denise the sales manager makes sure everything is in order leading up to the wedding. She is very detailed orientated and responsive to every phone call and email. Megan, the maitre d checked with us and our parents making sure that everything was running flawlessly and there were no problems. Megan did a great job of coordinating events with the DJ to make all the transitions smooth. Megan assigned a server, his name was Kevin as well, to take care of our every need. He would literally pop out of no where with our "go to drinks" in hand before we even asked. He was like a ninja! As everyone knows the bride and groom walk around a lot and he defiantly made sure our meals were hot and informed us when all the food was set on the table. The bar tenders were quick and on point. No one waited more than a minute for a drink and there were over 150 guests at our reception. All our guests were impressed with the 1st class service they experienced. Venue- When checking out Jumping Brook make sure you go on a day the room is set up. We were a little worried things looked dated when we saw the empty room, but on the wedding day, the reception looked impressive, great golf course views, and even an outside terrace for smokers. Cocktail hour- Do not miss your cocktail hour, you will regret it. There was so much food. I honestly forget how many stations of hot food there was. Some of our guests asked if there was dinner after because of how many stations and food varieties there were. I tried a small plate from every station and all the food tasted awesome. The Asian station was a good choice because a few of our guests who did not eat meat where glad they had a non meat option. We selected 10 orderves to be passed around. Everywhere you looked there was servers walking around serving guests. The one thing that Jumping Brook has that other places don't is a monstrous cocktail hour room with tables and 2 bars. There is literally 3 rooms. The main lobby with a bar, another room with a bar, and then the large cocktail hour room with plenty of seats and tables. The one thing people hate is when they can't eat and drink during cocktail hour at the same time and they have no where to put dirty plates. This is a non issue here. We had a string quartet play during the hour which added to the ambiance. If a bridal party chooses not to participate during cocktail hour they do have a large room upstairs with food and drinks that are put out. Food- We received so many praises about the food from our guests. Penne Vodka app was awesome, salad was pretty standard, and the main entrees were delicious. We tried all the main dishes besides the Chateaubriand at the private food tasting. We selected the stuffed chicken, pecan salmon, and the chateaubriand. I was little nervous with getting the chateau because I've worked at weddings in my high school days and I can tell you that with chateau typically places will skimp out on the cuts, and take a slice out of a fillet and add it to the next plate. Also the temperature sometimes is off. The chateau at Jumping Brook is second to none! There was two HUGE pieces on every plate cooked perfectly medium rare. The vegetable wrap was tasty and created a nice plate presentation. When guests tried their dishes we over heard them say "wow" and "man this is really good". We didn't here one negative comment about any of the food. As one guest described it, everything was over the top. After party room- Do not miss out on this. It is a secret disco room off to the side. It was about $1500 to keep the party rolling for 2 hr in the after party room with open beer, wine, and finger type food. You also can hook an ipod up to the sound system in that room, so you don't have to extend your DJ, which is great. The sound volume was a little uneven in the room, but at that point in the night I couldn't tell. None of our guests have ever been to an after party after the wedding before. At that point in the night, all we heard was this is the best wedding we HAVE EVER BEEN TO from many people. Lastly the cost- This is the best bang for your buck in the area. Trust me I looked everywhere. See my other review which breaks down cost. If you are looking for a venue to have your reception, do not hesitate when selecting Jumping Brook. I'm still surprised how I can't think of one thing that went wrong. Perfectly executed. read more

On August 12th 2017, I had my 50th high school reunion for Asbury and Ocean Twp. I am still getting e-mails and calls how terrific it was. The food was served hot and delicious. The staff was always nearby to get whatever we needed. Kassie from the banquet dept. helped me every step of the way. She definitely knows how to make any event special. Also, Megan took over and pleased my whole committee. We had 160 classmates in the Regency Ballroom and there was plenty room for dancing and mingling. I was very disappointed in their Thanksgiving dinner buffet this year 2017. First time my family and I had Thanksgiving dinner here. The tables were much too close to each other and the food was mediocre at best. It's like they tried to pack in as many people as they could. The roast beef was practically raw and stringy, the stuffing was mushy. The best thing about it was the desserts. Very disappointed...not a good experience! read more

We just had our wedding at Jumping Brook 10/13/13 and we were so pleased with everything! Prior to the wedding: From my first meeting with the banquet manager Ron, i felt comfortable and was at ease. He was always responsive to my phone calls and emails which is a big relief for a bride/groom. Regarding special requests, they were accommodating to any of our needs and specifications. As the wedding got closer, Ron would follow up to remind me of what was needed and even provided a checklist so i didn't forget anything. Day of Wedding: Best day ever! I was not nervous at all! Everything went smoothly and had no issues!! My maitre d' was Megan and she was wonderful! She stayed by my side the whole time; i felt like royalty! The day of the wedding, she was also very accommodating and had all the solutions to anything that came up last minute. Also, we had a personal waiter for us, Kevin, who was also awesome! He was by our side constantly making sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious! I received so many compliments that the food was awesome and the venue was beautiful. They loved the openness of the room and the fact that we were the only wedding at the venue (this was a plus for us when booking our wedding here). Not only did we have the reception room, but also had access to 2 other rooms for those who wanted to step away from the music and relax by the fireplace. We also had our ceremony at JCC which we decided to have outdoors. The setup was perfect! I highly recommend Jumping Brook Country Club to anyone looking to have their wedding or any other event there. If you are looking for excellent food, a great atmosphere, flexible; friendly service and trusting staff, this is your place! read more

As a professional meeting & event planner it's important to me that my clients get as much bang for their buck as possible without sacrificing quality or service. I am also the chapter administrator for an association that hosts a monthly breakfast meeting at the Jumping Brook CC. The venue meets all my criteria. Meeting attendees are provided with a full buffet hot/cold breakfast that includes fresh fruit, fresh bagels & pastries, yogurt, juices, and hot items that sometimes vary including pancakes and french toast. Their staff is professional and very accommodating. No request is too big (we need 4 more tables with linens and chairs for today's meeting) or too small (need a small trash can please). I have no trouble recommending them to any corporate or social client. read more

We have now held two Gala Fundraisers for Stella Maris at the Jumping Brook Country Club. Each time we were very pleased with the entire affair. The facility is beautiful and well kept, the food was plentiful and delicious and the staff could not be nicer or more helpful. We held our wedding at Jumping Brook Country Club in July of 2013. It was absolutely spectacular. From the grounds to the staff everything was A+. The staff was very easy to work with prior to the wedding and absolutely amazing the day of the wedding. They were so attentive towards us, our families- and our guests. They did everything possible to make us happy. We chose to get married in the summer so we could have an outdoor ceremony. Jumping Brook has beautiful grounds and the greenery is beyond gorgeous- The prefect backdrop for photos and the ceremony. The indoor space has a very unique layout and a TON of space. The staff was very knowledgeable and guided us towards the perfect layout. Cocktail hour was held in multiple rooms which allowed our guests to have intimate conversations and really enjoy the space. Our guests are still telling us it was one of the best cocktail hours they have ever been to -especially the food. The outdoor deck made for a perfect ceremony. It was surreal walking down the aisle, overlooking the golf course, on a beautiful summer night just before sunset. A dream come true! After the ceremony the reception moved indoors. I couldn't believe my eyes when I entered the room with my husband. It was absolutely magnificent. The table settings, the flowers,the dance floor, the chandeliers at night, the food, the drinks, the waitstaff...everything really came together beautifully. It was beyond our expectations. And, again the food was delicious! Everytime I look at the pictures from the wedding I am impressed. We took a ton of photos outdoors as well as indoors. I expected the outdoor pictures to be my favorites because of the landscape backdrop- but I think I love the indoor pictures more. This venue has so much character. The stairwell with the mirrors made for some amazing shots as did the indoor fireplaces and disco room. I am overly impressed with Jumping Brook Country Club and so happy we chose to get married there. I highly recommend this venue. read more

We have been holding our continuing education events at Jumping Brook for several years. The staff has been wonderful and very accommodating to us. The rooms are set up as we requested, they have been flexible with our requirements. The food is ample, fresh, and good value for the money. I hosted a baby shower here a few years ago & loved the food, staff, service & ambiance. When it came time to find a venue for Thanksgiving (because who wants to cook & clean for 8-10 people when you have to work the next day), I immediately thought of Jumping Brook. At $34 per person (plus tax & gratuity), I was happy we were able to make a 3 p.m. reservation & looked forward to what I thought would be the start of a great holiday tradition. Ninety minutes & a few hundred dollars later, I left disappointed & embarrassed for suggesting this place. I have had better quality food at a gas station! The turkey was drier than the Mohave desert, the 2 different types of stuffing were mushy, the Brussels sprouts lacked any type of seasoning & most of the desserts were just average. (The one positive was the child friendly selection of chicken fingers & French fries). Hopefully you'll work on your menu & food quality for next year. read more

We went to a wedding there yesterday. We had a great time, but I have to write about the ceremony chairs. They are cheap white plastic folding chairs, and were all cracked on the sides, near the joints with the seat backs. They were also all rusted through at the joints. Two people actually fell off their chairs when they collapsed out from under them. These were not heavy people. The chairs were just so chintzy. If you are thinking of having your wedding ceremony there, make sure to insist upon newer chairs. These were really abominable. read more

I recently attended a mother's day event here, and was very disappointed. Their food was bland and tasted as if it had been reheated. Their wait staff seemed amateurish, unorganized, an overwhelmed. Also, their decor is extremely outdated. I have to admit though that their golf course looked really nice, and they have a lot of space for big functions. read more

Went to my husband's Class reunion and totally disappointed. One hour open bar and the drinks had hardly any alcohol. No passed appetizers with the Cocktail hour. So you were drinking with no food. Not very smart. The class charged $70 per person and I only imagine that the majority of that was for the Jumping Brook. The food had no taste what so ever! They used non-salted butter for the already bland flavored rolls. They served very mild mozzarella cheeze with regular tomatoes but no oil or vinegar with it. The roast beef was like "Deli Select" in gravy. And the chicken was cold! Then they opened the dessert buffet which consisted of only minimum slices of vanilla/cocanut cake, chocolate cake, no flavor cheese cake,canoli, non-cusstard eclairs (there was no custard in neither mine or my husband's eclair) and then a minimum assortment of petit fors. Oh, and no coffee until most everyone was finished with their dessert. And the coffee was luck warm and very mild. For the price, you could go to Applebee's and get something worth eating. I will never plan an event at the Jumping Brook. Not worth it and totally terrible. read more
