Stopped in for some mimosas and cookies while we waited for our table across the street. The cookies have salt on them that gives them the extra flavor. The service was great! I would definitely come back.

A cute cafe in del Rey neighborhood with friendly service and large selection of baked goods. The menu also has plenty of salad, sandwich and miscellaneous packaged (potato salad, pimento cheese) options. I opted for the cheddar biscuit and carrot cronut. Both were pretty tasty.

Living in the area for 20 years, first time at Junction and it was great!!!! It was a rainy day, and the place was still packed. The service was great..

Came here to meet some friends for brunch - really cool spot! You walk in and place your order before seating. They have a variety of delicious desserts (we got a carrot cake cruffin) and also full brunch menu. My hubby got gravy and biscuits, and I got a fried chicken biscuit (when back in Virginia, get the Southern food they said). I loved mine! The pickles tasted homemade and tangy, and I loved the cheddar biscuit it came on. For a drink, we shared a large lavender latte - solid but not blown away (esp for the price). The weather was nice enough where we were able to sit outside on the patio - loved the corner spot to be able to people watch! Would come back here again for another meal.

About a 1-1.5: Junction Bakery & Bistro is located in the Del Ray area, and they offer a pretty extensive menu, featuring various coffee and tea, cocktails/wine/beer, breakfast/brunch options, to-go family-style dinners, pastries, as well as a HH. We stopped by after stopping by the market on a weekend to grab some beverages: +a seasonal Lavender Honey Latte - unfortunately, there was no hint of either flavors and was more of a steamed milk situation +a Chai Latte - this was super watered down and had absolutely no flavor at all Staff are super friendly. When you step inside, you order and they'll give you a number stand; the drinks are brought out to you, which is a nice touch. There's ample seating, as well as some seats outdoors for those who enjoy an al fresco option. Street parking can be found in the area. +watered down drinks +friendly staff

Love this neighborhood. Walked in and eyed the beautiful pastry display. Lots of bread, croissants, muffins, cruffins scones, monkey bread, etc. The young man at the counter was very nice and helpful. He helped me decide what to order. Picked up a churro cruffin and monkey bread. Then ordered the All American Burger. The food came quick. It was described as a smashed burger, but it was a hefty 2 patty burger. It came with lettuce, tomato, pickles, a sauce and mayo. The sauces weren't distinct. I wished there was something to cut the richness. The bun was nice, warm, soft, and fresh. Brioche I suspect. The fries were hot: crispy on the outside soft in the middle. The cruffin really surprised me. I thought it would be crispy or dry but it was pillowy soft. I cut it down the middle as the instructions suggested. It had a mild flavor. I was expecting more cinnamon flavor hence the name churro. The pastry cream texture was airy and light. Want to try more pastries

Such a cute little spot with really nice vibes! I stopped in for a quick break and ordered a London Fog latte -- it was perfectly made, smooth, and comforting. The space itself feels cozy and cute bistro vibes. I didn't try the food this time, but the menu looked great and I'd love to come back to try it soon.

This was my first time ordering food from here and it was DELICIOUS! Can't wait to try more food from here.

I love bringing my toddler to Junction because of the tables on their patio. The space inside is a little tight so we haven't been since the weather got too cold to sit outside. However, I still stop by whenever I'm close by because I'm obsessed with their crookie (croissant and cookie). Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of their coffee drinks; they all taste sour to my palate. The food is consistently delicious and you can't go wrong with any of the food selection!

Super cute spot for some yummy casual bites! I had a breakfast sandwich thingy but on a super yummy biscuit. It came with sausage but I asked for bacon! It was super yummy and also came with potatoes! I had orange juice and also a hot caramel latte which was sooooooooooooooo good! I would definitely go back for the latte and try something else on the menu. That French toast was calling me but I couldn't do it - next time! Great customer service too!!

Come. Here. For. Cocktails. I'm obsessed with Autumn in general and they definitely did Fall flavors right. My friends and I got Autumn in the tropics (this one was definitely the favorite amongst all of us), four crazy cat ladies (our least favorite), fall sangria, espresso martini and the fall gala. They were all so pretty and the bartender certainly had cool tricks to show while making them. The service is top-notch as the servers continuously asked if we needed anything and took away finished dishes in a timely manner. The menu itself has so much variety that there's definitely something for everyone. Our favorite was the pot roast as the meat was oh so tender.

I heard good things about Junction Bakery and was happy to see it was in my area. The bakery has soemthing for everyone. They even have a full menu with other sweet and savory dishes. I came in just for the Cruffin on this visit but will be back to check out their menu. The Alexandria location has added some outdoor seating with a semi covered patio. When I came they were completing the renovations. The Cruffin was perfectly crispy on the outside and had a sweet but not overpowering filling on the inside. Hands down amazing treat. The baked goods are made fresh daily and are well worth the extra calories.

My wife and I arrived around 1:20 p.m. on a Thursday. The lunch crowd was still going strong, which only reinforced that we had picked a popular spot. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill almost immediately. When we walked in, there was no hostess to be found. After waiting about four minutes, she finally appeared and offered us a choice between a small table in the corner or one by the bar. Given how busy the restaurant was, we took the table by the bar. About seven minutes later, someone finally came by to offer us water and explained that our server was busy, but she would help us in the meantime. No problem. We ordered the Avo Goddess Salad and asked that it be split so we could share it. A few minutes later, our server arrived, introduced herself, and we let her know we had already ordered the salad and were ready to place our lunch orders. She was very helpful in guiding my wife toward the Old Bay Shrimp Burger. I was excited to order the Shrimp and Grits until I learned it contained Andouille sausage and, according to our server, couldn't be prepared without it. Since the restaurant highlights that everything is made from scratch, that surprised me. I ended up ordering the Ahi Tuna Salad instead. So far, so good. Then came the frustration. We spent the next 20 minutes slowly picking at our salad, growing increasingly hungry and confused. You know something is wrong when guests who were seated after you begin receiving their meals before you. Finally, at 2:10 p.m., our food arrived: my Ahi Tuna Salad and a Pulled Lamb Sandwich for my wife. Except my wife had ordered the Shrimp Burger. When we pointed out the mistake to what was now our third server, she quickly assured us it would be corrected. A few minutes later, our original server returned and took full responsibility. She explained that the lamb and shrimp items are next to each other in the POS system and she accidentally selected the wrong item. She assured us the Shrimp Burger would be out in two minutes and suggested we enjoy the fries that came with the lamb sandwich while we waited. Unfortunately, another ten minutes passed before the burger finally arrived. Here's where things became truly disappointing: the top bun was still cold--almost frozen. My wife ended up removing it entirely and eating the sandwich with just the bottom bun. At best, the Shrimp Burger was decent, but certainly not worth the wait and frustration. As for my Ahi Tuna Salad, it felt like something I could easily make at home, especially considering the $25 price tag. I'm also not entirely convinced the tuna was particularly fresh. I can't bring myself to give Matt and Tony's one star because the atmosphere is genuinely cool and inviting. So I settled on two stars--mostly for how I felt before the experience unraveled. And listen, I get it. Mistakes happen. We're all human. But as someone who eats out frequently, here's one piece of advice: when a restaurant makes a significant mistake with a customer's order, consider taking that item off the bill. Sometimes that gesture is the only reason a guest decides to come back.
