The staff is so informative and thorough. Whether it was our great waitress Ashley or the other staff who ran our food - they were all just the best of the best. The entire menu looked delicious! As foodies, my husband and I enjoy eating our way through different cities. We were excited to try June as it was right in our Central Florida backyard. We booked June for 5:30 on a Friday night via Resy, a partner with AMEX. We were seated right away to one of the many adorable tables in the space. While waiting, enjoyed letting our eyes wonder around to the decorations around the space. It seemed very well thought out. My husband got a fresco drink to try and loved it. It's a great non alcoholic option. And for the main event, let's talk about the food. Everything on the menu is built in sharing portions. Don't get confused by that and think you can share with 5-6 people though. We found that each item we ordered was perfect to split between two people. Keep that in mind. We started with the cornbread and salad. Both were delicious! The salad could have used a bit more cucumbers. We then ordered the esquites, which were great, despite being a bit different than we expected. And for our entree, we chose the chicken. We've tasted chicken all around the world and this has to be some of the best. The flavor is out of this world, but a bit spicy, so be prepared if that something you're not big on. The service here was great. Our food came out fast, despite a small wait for the second half of our meal. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and great at his job. I wish I had caught his name. June is located in Thornton Park amongst other bars, restaurants, and shops. Lake Eola is a short walk away. Overall, June is now one of our favorite places in the Central Florida area. We came for our one year wedding anniversary. We liked that they print the occasion on top of the menu, so it felt nice and personalized. They also gave us complimentary champagne to toast our special occasion. We started out with some cocktails, the pepper and the corn. They were a bit small, but they were tasty and well crafted. You could smell the basil and it has a nice finish with the mezcal. We started off with the cornbread with agave butter, which was a bit dry, as cornbread normally is, but the butter was a nice compliment and just a hint of sweet. We also got the wagyu tostada, which was also delicious. Our entree was the NY steak with coffee chili rub, ordered medium rare. It was cooked to order, but my 1st bite of the end piece was mostly cartilage and fat which was my mistake. The rest of the bites were great! We ended with sharing the dessert of the caramel creme with banana which was a wonderful experience with a lot of textures and flavors. The place had very nice vibes and decor with hanging cacti on the walls. The bathrooms were very clean. Overall, I'm not sure we'd visit again with just us two, but maybe with a larger group so that we could order more off the menu and share to just get a tasting. Had dinner here with my best friend . It was both our first time here and we were impressed with the service and of course the food. You have to make reservations online through Resy but since I couldn't remember my password, I called the restaurant instead. The gentleman who answered the phone made it so easy for me and when we showed up to our reservation, it was the same gentleman that I talked to on the phone that checked us in. I forgot his name but he was so nice. My friend and I shared the avocado herbs, carrots, esquires and fried chicken. All were very tasty and quite filling. June is a contemporary Mexican in Thornton Park with high-quality, fresh ingredients. The food is served tapas style and everything comes to the table at random times throughout your meal. We were lucky to get a patio reservation day of. The patio is very spacious with large tables and umbrellas. There's also large plants that separate the tables, which keeps it intimate and quiet. They also play music on the patio with a mixed playlist. The dining room is also gorgeous but when we walked through, it was a little loud. Service started really strong but we had some hiccups along the way. Our server forgot to ring in two dishes. He also overcharged us by $100 by accidentally charging us for another table. The manager was able to sort out the overcharge, but nothing was comped and it didn't feel like they made an effort to make good on their mistakes. As for the food, this would've been a 5 star review, if the service had been good, as this was some of the best food I've had in Orlando in a long time. We ordered the avocado, crab tostada, flautas, corn bread, sweet potatoes, and wood-fired chicken. Everything was delicious, but the standouts were the sweet potatoes, corn bread and the chicken. Cheers for the vibes and the complete transformation of the old graffiti Junction! We arrived late in the evening for a reservation and decided to sit at the bar. We were greeted by two bartenders who were very sweet. We ordered the salsa board, the sweet potatoes, chicken El Pastor, and the buenolo cookie dessert. We wanted to try the ribs, but they were unfortunately out. Apparently, they are the most popular item and they go fast every weekend. I'm not sure why they don't make enough, but you have to be very early to get it. One of the servers said that they ran out of it at 7:30. We ordered two drinks, and I was a little underwhelmed by the presentation of mine. I got a watermelon margarita and it was in a short glass that was like in timeout or put in a corner. The drink immediately put me in a "huh?"mood. The drink had zero vibe to it. Overall, I thought it was a decent experience and I am happy that I did try it! I think it's a very popular place for locals to be able to just walk over and I think that would be over more often if that were the case. A good tip would be just to go ahead and park in the parking garage just because parking is extremely tight here. We did go to the rug room upstairs as well and they do serve food items there too. The restaurant is beautiful. I've seen the location change over the years and they did a great job with the renovation. We had such a great experience. We went on a Saturday without a reservation. When we first arrived they had only bar seating available but they were also about to close from lunch to dinner. We asked if we could reserve a table for dinner and he was able to squeeze us in for around 5. There was a festival going on at lake Eola so we walked around there to kill time. The service was good. Our waitress did great explaining the menu and making suggestions. It was three of us and we ordered a free things to share and try. The fish and the carrots were the two stand out items. Definitely one of my favorite Orlando restaurant experiences in a while! Came for a Sunday evening dinner and was surprised how busy it was, which was great to see but reservation meant we were seated quickly. Restaurant is beautiful with lots of eclectic styles and warm wood tones, totally fitting to the menu. Ordered quite a few items from across the menu but standouts were the Wagyu Tostada, Red Snapper Ceviche, and the Wood Fired Chicken. The pacing of the kitchen was perfect as we were able to enjoy each item alone while getting the next hot and fresh. Everything had so much flavor and was well beyond what I expected. Service was top notch with our waiter having great recommendations and keeping our water topped off. Parking in the area can be a little difficult, so give yourself plenty of time to find. I've had this spot on my list for a while now. I'm glad the turned the old Grafitti Junction into something beautiful. Their fresh take on upscale Mexican cuisine is amazing! If you're in Orlando, June needs to be on your restaurant hit list. I came here for a lovely dinner on a Friday night and it was jumping. I highly recommend making a reservation! Also, parking in this area is a bit tough but we managed to find a spot in an empty lot. The restaurant itself is stunning and gives a Tulum-like ambience. Absolutely gorgeous and one of the best upscale Mexican restaurants I've been to. We sat at one of their high top tables and the service was great. For the eats we shared... 1. Avocado and Salsa board (4/5) Gorgeous presentation and it comes with 5 tostadas for dipping. The guac was delicious and I loved the variety of salsas, my fav was a darker red color that tasted like roasted chilis and lime. I wish they served more tostadas because we had so much salsas leftover (you do have to pay an extra $5 for more). 2. Carrots (5/5) Who knew carrots could taste this damn good? The carrots were roasted to perfection which brought out the natural sweetness and the creamy farmers cheese on the bottom paired with the cashew sauce on top was immaculate. 3. Short Rib (5/5) The star of the freakin show. Please get this if you are a red meat lover. Fall off the bone tender meat that has incredible flavor. Quite possibly one of the best short ribs I've consumed. This can definitely be shared between 4 people, because we had way too much leftover for 2. The short rib is served with a side of salsas and like 5 warm corn tortillas. Also, would recommend ordering more tortillas because the amount of meat there unless you wanna go carb-less. This restaurant has been highly recommended by a friend who told me it was the best restaurant in Orlando so I was highly eager to try it out. We came here on a Sunday morning so we were able to check out their daytime menu. I'm from Australia and I struggle to find really quality brunch places here as compared to back home. This place nailed everything. The short rib and eggs might have the best short rib I've had since moving to America. Amazingly tender and soft, highly recommend not missing this dish. The grilled avocado was recommended by the server and this was a can't miss as well. It was basically a make your own avocado toast and you're given all the ingredients; the grilled bread that comes along with it was also a perfect crunch. The brioche toast was decadent and well balanced with the berries and cheese. Can't wait to come back here and try the night time menu one day, but I might just stick with this spot as my go-to brunch in town. I see this place has amazing reviews, it was my favorite. It's almost a little overly trying to deviate from traditional Mexican. Mind you I've been to some really well done elevated Mexican restaurants. The drinks were ok. The flautas were hard, we thought the first order was just overcooked but no the shell is just really hard, like stuck in my took hard. The duck lacked flavor, was greasy and tough. We did go later in the evening, not sure if that makes a difference. But that being said our server was fantastic! Amazing personality, super attentive. Genuine tried her best to make this enjoyable. June is a welcoming and warm Mexican restaurant. The modern décor, multiple indoor and outdoor seating areas, and three beautiful bars create such a vibrant but refined atmosphere. We chose to sit at the indoor bar that also serviced the outdoor bar portion. Our bartender was fantastic and made wonderful recommendations that absolutely delivered. We had already eaten dinner, but after our bartender recommended the cornbread we had to order some. We were absolutely delighted when it came out, it almost too adorable to eat though. It was shaped just like little corn cobs! Not only cute, but it was moist, flavorful, and completely crave-worthy.m, especially with the butter sauce it came with. For cocktails, we had the Passion Fruit which was bright, fresh, and perfectly balanced. Their Espresso cocktail made with tequila which was smooth, bold, and such a fun twist on the classic. Came here for a friend's birthday lunch and was blown away by the atmosphere and menu. The new decor is Tulum-inspired and feels trendy and organic; I loved the use of natural materials and different textures. The menu is a small, with an emphasis of fresh, healthy ingredients. We got the Wagyu Tostada, Fish Tacos, Frittata, and Short-Ribs and Eggs. I loved the crunchiness of the Wagyu Tostada, but Truffle Chimi was too salty and made it a bit too much to eat. However, paired with the Fish Taco, it became balanced, because the taco was cooked perfect but bland. My friends enjoyed their Frittata and Short Ribs, but we did think the prices were a tad high for the portions. Service was fantastic; we had a great time. Modern and fusion Mexican spot in Orlando that's worth checking out for date nights and special occasions. I came here as a group of 5 and made a reservation on Resy 2 weeks prior. Initially, we weren't able to get the time we wanted, but after I messaged the restaurant through Instagram, I was able to change the time. I was also able to add birthday details in the reservation since we were celebrating 2 birthday's. Walking-in, I enjoyed the tropical, classy, and intimate vibe of the restaurant. The décor was beautiful. The lighting was on the darker side, but good mood lighting. For food, we did family-style for the following: - Wagyu Beef Tostada: Delicious, great combination of textures, and a generous amount of meat. 2 tostadas per order. - Avocado with Tostadas: Guacamole with 5 tostadas and several sauces with increasing heat levels. I wasn't super impressed with this dish. The guacamole and sauces weren't as flavorful as I hoped and the "spicier" sauces were not spicy enough for me. - Fried Chicken: Tasty, but just reminds me of regular orange chicken from a Chinese takeaway. Nice of them to give us this on the house though. - Hanger Steak: Steak quality was good, but not mind-blowing. Also could use more flavor. - Duck: Loved this dish! Definitely inspired by the Chinese peking duck since it came with hoisin sauce. The duck was meaty and fatty. I also liked the crispy duck skin. I wasn't a fan of the corn tortillas it came with though. They were pretty grainy and gritty. - Elote: Cheesy, creamy, and good. Pretty standard. - Coconut Cake: A bit too sweat and it was overkill with the toasted coconut. - Crème Caramel: Ugh this was so good! Despite being very sweet, it was creamy and delicious. I enjoyed the burnt flavor from the brulee in this one. I also really enjoyed the service in this experience. Our server was super friendly, gave us a detailed rundown of the menu, and even made sure our two birthday celebrants got a dessert each. For parking, there's several paid parking structures around or you can do free neighborhood parking if you don't mind walking for a bit. We started off with a few drinks which were pretty good and their crab tostadas, which we thought were fantastic. For our entrees we ordered the chicken, sweet potato, and their carrots. We also tried their cornbread. The food wasn't bad but outside of the chicken I probably wouldn't order those items again. Before our table was ready I did attempt to get a drink at the bar but the service wasn't very attentive, and by the time the bartender even noticed me, our table was ready. An exceptional food experience! My wife and I came here with a few friends and had a great time. Service was friendly, professional and helpful in navigating the menu - as it was our first time here. We started with the Avocado - their version of guacamole along with the additional accoutrements, salsas and pickled things. This is a must when coming here - it's only $22 and is a perfect starter. Really tasty and cool presentation, kind of like a Mexican charcuterie board. If I come back for drinks, this is the menu item I will get. For drinks, we had the Pepper ($14) and the Espresso ($14). The Pepper was sort of a bell pepper flavored margarita. Very refreshing. They're served in small glasses without ice. The server wisely told us up front that all the drinks contain 2oz of liquor; otherwise they look almost like a shot. The Espresso is a standard espresso martini with Mexican coffee liquor. Personally I prefer ice in my drinks (or I'll drink it too fast), but that's just my preference. We then had the Carrots ($12) which were perfectly al dente, a little sweet and savory. Then the Ceviche ($16) - nice small bites of hamachi topped with onion and basil; fresh and light. For our main course we had the Chicken ($36) served with a stack of warm homemade tortillas. The chicken was really flavorful, sliced thin on the bone. Using the sauces from the first appetizer, you can kind of perfect the ultimate bite of food. And that day started with a meal at June located in the heart of Thornton Park. Lush foliage and contemporary furnishings greet you as you enter from the patio into the main interior dining area. A self-described wood-fired Mexican restaurant, the Yucatan-inspired menu was composed of tapas and shareable items which brought a modern and elevated take on traditional Mexican dishes and ingredients. And the fact they don't use seed oils...only avocado and olive...and the entire menu is virtually gluten free only underscores what sets this establishment apart from most of the other Mexican eateries in the Orlando region. After consulting with our wonderful and friendly server, Angelina, we decided on the Grilled Lettuce which included Baby Romaine, Miso Mustard, Ricotta Salata and Peanut Secca and the Chicken Al Pastor with Charred Pineapple. Both dishes were on point with flavorful taste profiles without being heavy. The items were Florida Oak grilled which scores points on tastiness without bogging you down later in the night. I have only kudos for both the food and service we received during our meal at June. The complimentary glass of Champagne which Kimberley received was appreciated. June has been my latest favorite spot for dinner and Mexican tapas. Intimate lighting and always packed with locals in the evenings. There are three different bars that are gorgeous and such an elevated yet welcoming vibe to relax and have a conversation at. The Mexican contemporary decor is gorgeous and sets the tone perfectly for their inspired menu. Every time I've come here my group orders the Avocado board with the added salsas. The recipe of this "guacamole" is unlike anything I've tried because it comes with the tastiest pesto-style EVOO over the top. Its a very unique creation and you also won't find anything like the myriad of salsas to go with it from mole to pineapple. I must take a moment to commend their hand made corn tortillas as many people opt for flour, however, these are so fluffy yet hold their texture and adds an enjoyable flavor to every bite of your taco. My friends enjoyed many other Dinner menu items like the fish, shrimp pastor, and short rib. Don't sleep on the Carrots which is served on a bed of whipped farmers cheese and so drizzled with salsa macha. My favorite item on the rug room menu was the Crudo which is gorgeously plated with plum & avocado slices, a unique way to serve tuna! I also loved the protein-forward Lump Crab Tostada which surprisingly filled me up. Lastly, the shrimp coctel is nestled on a bed of guacamole and served with fresh made tostadas. This was the most shareable tapa on the rug room menu and hit the spot. If you know me, you know I'm obsessed with a speakeasy and the vibe of the Rug Room and rooftop is everything for me! It's the perfect place for tapas and well crafted drinks. Not to mention the Aladdin Magic carpet vibe with house beats to set the mood. The fact that their espresso martini comes with tequila already was so inviting to me because I always order them this way! I love the added touch of a fresh cocoa dust to garnish the foamy top. The bartender at rug room makes these to perfection! I am equally obsessed with their Oaxaca old fashioned with reposado and mezcal, well combined recipe, simply delicious, and hits the spot every time. Must admit I don't think this place met expectation on the food but highly recommend trying the espresso martini. Fried chicken was overly sauced to me w/ sesame seeds and tasted too sweet. Outstanding. 5/5 stars I cannot wait to make this a date night staple! Went with another couple friend of ours and tried as many small shareables as we could and one main. My absolute favorite was the lump crab tostada! I also loved the grilled lettuce and the carrots were a stand out as well. The food tasted so high quality and well plated/ served. The Dessert was so unique it was like a better twist on a funnel cake. Even though we were sat outside the staff was so attentive and multiple people checked on our table and put additional items in for us, the staff was a well oiled machine! Sabrina was great and recommended a lot of what we tried. Overall what a great new addition and next time I can't wait to sit inside as It is beautiful! We sat at the bar and the bartender/server was knowledgeable about everything including allergens. Most of the menu is gluten free or modifiable (heck yeah). The place has various zones where you can sit including a small indoor roof bar and outdoor deck both on the first level and the roof. I do recommend the tostadas with all of the salsas, each with a unique flavor. The pickles were amazing. The fried chicken was perfect. Our favorite was the fish taco, which was completely worth it. Checked out June on a day date and honestly, I felt cool being there . The vibe is definitely upscale Mexican tapas with a modern twist, plus a full bar that absolutely nailed their espresso tequila martini. We ordered a few dishes to share: * Avocado with herb oil - fresh, flavorful, and a surprisingly generous portion. * Fish tacos - crispy, well-seasoned, and packed with flavor. * Chicken sandwich - massive in size. Food-wise, I was leaning toward a solid 5 stars. But here's where things went sideways: I noticed the runner at the window playing on his phone, then salting a dish, then literally fiddling with the salt using his fingers before putting it back. I celebrated my birthday at June and it was honestly perfect. The food was absolutely amazing -- every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is gorgeous, super warm and inviting without feeling crowded. Our server was great too -- friendly, helpful with recommendations, and kept everything flowing smoothly all night. Stumbled upon this restaurant while going to the Night Market and can't be happier. The wood fired Mexican food was absolutely delicious. Recommendation: Appetizers - Start with chips and guacamole along with a sampling of sauces from mild to hot.
