This restaurant looks beautiful, however, we were unable to experience the food. When we first walked in, we noticed there's a 4% charge on all credit and debit cards,so if you would like to avoid that, make sure you bring enough cash. We were seated and no one came to serve us after about ten minutes of waiting. Another larger party was seated after us got served quite quickly. We also looked around and noticed that many people had not yet received any food. We made a decision to leave and go to a different restaurant where we were immediately seated, served and provided with excellent service. I can't really talk about the quality of food, but I wanted to comment on the poor service and extra fee in case anyone else wanted to know. I did give 2 stars due to the beautiful decor and how yummy the chips and salsa looked. If only we were able to try them...

Ribeye with tostones, rice, and mixed vegetables

I ordered medium rare for the ribeye, but it came out medium well and underseasoned. The steak was pretty thin, so perhaps thatnmadenit difficult to be cooked medium rare. The ceviche was good and well marinated. Everyone else at my table enjoyed their food.

Kids meal

Really enjoyed this place. Hit right about happy hour time. Very busy and very loud. Our server was great. Very attentive. We asked for the kids meal to come out first while we looked over the menu and she made that happen. Chips and salsa are fresh. Salsa is not spicy at all. They do have a habanero sauce that is delicious if you like spicy! Highly recommend.

Street nachos look great, but are salty and meats over marinated.

The service was great and the menu is huge. The food? It's okay, but we both said we wouldn't be back. The food is ok, but that's about it. Walking in at lunch today we were greeted with an in your face sewer smell. They said it was fixed and airing out, but it was still very offensive. The spicy guacamole sounds and looks amazing!! Eating it though, very challenging. Completely over engineered for looks and not consumption. My street tacos were ok. The meat was way over marinated and mushy - which is different than tender, lol.

Jalapeño Margarita w extra Tajín

The food here is good. We used to be regulars but stopped coming because service is VERY slow. Unfortunately this was our last time because dinner service took over 2 hours for an app, two entrees and two margaritas. I'd recommend for take out but I wouldn't recommend this place if you're in a hurry for dine in.

Arroz con pollo

I always love coming to this little spot. The food is always super flavorful. Two rounds of complementary chips and salsa. If you can taste the homemade effort into every dish. Drinks are a little pricey and they don't do any specials. But you do get what you pay for so that's the upside. Margaritas are delicious and always poured correctly. The location on itself is super fun and vibrant. Come check the out

Anejo Burrito (big burrito)

Great food, service and staff. This is the first time we've tried the fried cheese tacos and although hard to eat with your hands. We did fine using a knife and fork. The flavors were so good--especially the blistered jalapeños. Our friends got the Anejo Burrito and sharing it they still couldn't finish it. Well worth the price.

Shrimp fajita

I recently met a family member here for dinner on a Wednesday evening. They arrived before me and was seated right away as the place wasn't very busy. Our server came over right away and provided menus, water, chips and salsa. By the third time they came to the table, we were ready to order. I decided to go with the shrimp fajita with all of the fixings except the tortillas. My family member ordered the quesadilla. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time and the orders were correct. I enjoyed the shrimp fajita, it was seasoned well. I didn't hear any complaints on the quesadilla. Our server checked on us a couple of times, which was cool. The vibe was more bar-like in terms of the level of sound. There were several tables and booths full of people but enough room for us to be spread out from each other. There 2 tables celebrating a birthday so that added some cheer to the atmosphere. Overall, I'd say it was good and I would come here again, at least for the fajitas.

The number one thing I was impressed by at this restaurant was speed. The speed our server came to check on us and also how quick our food came out. I always get worried by the quality of food based on how fast it comes out, but I was happily surprised the food tasted great. The queso dip was flavorful and smooth. The enchiladas were so tasty and the corn tortillas held up against the sauces. The restaurant layout is a bit tight but they do have a second layer back room. I went on a Friday evening and it was quite popping.

Me and my coworkers ordered from here for lunch. I had never heard of this place before but the inside is so nice. Just from picking up the food quickly I got such a good impression of the staff they were so nice. Everything was plated nicely even though it was a to go order. Everyone really enjoyed the food as well. I think this is one of the best Mexican restaurants around here honestly. The food was really delicious. I would definitely come back here!

Diablo shrimp, white rice & salad w avocado slices & a purple orchid flower garnish (beautiful)

The inside of this place is very trendy and cool. On the menu is Frida Kahlo w a mustache. Was pretty funny considering she never had that & was a beautiful artistic woman. lol The food presentation was A+ and tasted very good. Both my friend and I were pleased with the food. Our server was very nice & attentive. If you go soon, order the Anejo chicken quesadilla w light cheese & sour cream on the side or more pico de gallo instead of the sc if you're watching your figure.

Cadillac margarita
Mandi S.

Service is really great. Friendly staff. The drinks are on point. We tried Cadillac margarita, the mezcal margarita, and the quesabirria tacos. Absolutely delicious! Everything is measured so the drinks come out the same every time. No worries on a crappy pour. They give a fair pour to price ratio. I did add a shot to make a drink a little more like home. We sat at the bar and our bartender never rushed us. She gave us all the time we needed but was attentive to anything we asked about or requested. Especially love the water glasses they provide at the bar. Noticed tables get plastic cups. Felt like a much nicer experience for us. The chips and salsa are really good. I'm pretty picky on both. In 6 years I've yet to find me a favorite salsa in Florida, I will say this is one of the best ones I've had in this state. Will be back to have more. I have to order the pizza birria next time. I'm so curious. One of the best birria tacos I've had. Top 3 ever. absolutely recommend. They even include a sliver of radish and 2, one quarter limes (1/2 total). The consume was really good, I rarely like consume. I usually just use limes. I used both. If I made one critique, I would ask for more radish. 100% recommend this restaurant and can't wait to come back!

choripollo, tacos, salmon, pollo loco
Martha L.

I love añejo, this is my go to spot when I want Mexican food which is high praise from a Mexican person. I have my order down which is a side of guac with the choripollo and everything is super tasty always. I brought my family to it and even my hard to please mom liked it. We always come back to this restaurant, plus they always have a good playlist playing.

I've been trying to stop into this distillery for years, but my timing was always off. Either they were closed that day i was there or not opening before I left. But today, the starts aligned. If you know, John and I love going to small craft/ small batch distilleries & we have the bar to back that up. Years of learning what we love and what we (I really) don't. I was all interested in the bourbon! And they delivered! Every batch is a one and done, with every new batch trying to be better and more refined than the last. Reminds me of myself, I'm always moving forward & trying to do better! Loved the bourbon. The Winter Park Arts Festival blend was phenomenal! Then... I tried the Gincident and that was an easy yes, let's take that bottle home. Meanwhile, Chase was bragging about their Best Espresso Martini.... hmmm, prove it. Made with bourbon, omg yes please. Proprietary blend of coffee, vodka made in house and yes, it was one of my to three I've ever had! And now I want to start trying various bourbons to make one at home! And I heard they do a Halloween Yelp Event!!! Whhhaaaatttt! Please please, I must go this coming fall! I LOVE HALLOWEEN!!!

To be honest, we thought we were coming to a brewery and quickly realized it was a distillery. We walked in and noticed a bunch of outdoor seating. It was the perfect night so we looked forward to sitting outside. The atmosphere was busy, but laid back. We entered into the dimly lit establishment at Harry Potter playing on the TV (win!). It was a speakeasy-esque vibe and I loved it. We ordered an old-fashioned and espresso martini which were quickly brought to our table. They indicated that the espresso martini was the best one in town, so naturally I had to try it. I would definitely say it takes top five. We sat outside and had a great evening at this place. We will definitely be back and look forward to it.

We got a dirty martini and negroni to start. Awesome presentation and they came out pretty quickly. We were also given a free glass of prosecco, which was an excellent touch. For appetizers we ordered the Crispy Bang Bang Lion's Mane, which had a great texture and was extra crispy, and the Citrus Spiced Carrots. This sat in a bed of ricotta cheese and hot honey. The perfect balance of sweet and salty. I'd order this 10 times over again. For our mains we got the Fresh Grilled Fish of the day, which was a snapper with mashed sweet potato and broccolini and a pan to pour a lemon sauce over top. This was a perfect portion, the fish was grilled perfectly, and I could have eaten an entire bowl of their sweet potatoes. My husband got the Bronzed Florida Grouper, which had a risotto with shrimp in it. Both of these dishes were INCREDIBLE. To finish, we got the Sky High Citrus Meringue Pie. This kind of played on a key lime pie. It was rich, the portion was HUGE, and a great way to finish our meal. Overall, great food, great vibes, and great service.

The ambiance and feel of the bar is very "sultry" and "intimate." The mood lighting, dark paneling/interiors paired with the bar itself being lit to be the center of attention, lends itself to the secretiveness and LURE that a modernized speakeasy would provide. I truly enjoy stepping foot into this little hidden, but NOT so hidden, gem (which can be accessed from the interior to Talay). Service can be slow at times - especially when they are busy. However, the staff is usually always gracious, helpful, and willing to serve. The few great mixologists I've met there have also been very willing to break down how they make their drinks and really give us a glimpse into their world. So, I'm appreciative of that. That is not something that you can always expect at bars. As for the drinks (and food I'll glaze over), I am usually not left disappointed. I appreciate that seasonally they play with their drink menu and introduce new cocktails. I also love a handful of their signature drinks on the menu. This may be the only bar I've had a drink with Aperol in it that I actually ENJOYED (and not tolerated). The pricing can get high depending on what you order, but for the area and the going rate of a night out, they hold their own. Definitely don't pop into Noir if you are looking for an AFFORDABLE cocktail experience because the tab will creep up on you. The food is OKAY. They share a kitchen with Talay and offer some items not on the Talay menu - which is nice. However, I rarely eat when I visit, so the few times I have, it's been okay. Nothing to truly brag home about. I am happy, though, that they did start offering food because in the very beginning (when they first opened), that was not an option. Anyways, Noir Bar is GREAT (to me)! I will keep coming here and recommending it to others. It's also great for a date night or night out with your friends. It's in a decent location - but please take heed of parking in this area, as it can be challenging to find FREE street parking. However, there is parking available all around and in various garages nearby.

However, for the sake of happy hour, I ordered the Cetriolo and my husband ordered a negroni bianco. The cetriolo was light, refreshing, heavy on the cucumber, and overall the perfect summer cocktail. And the negroni was smooth and sophisticated. As a starter, we ordered the meatballs (because you didn't go to prato if you didn't order them) and the Piccante Dolce to balance. The meatballs are always such a classic 10/10 you have to get them. Real good vibes. Orlando obviously has no shortage of places to eat, drink, and gather, but Alfie's belongs to that rare category of venues that feel equally at home in a major metropolis. It's the kind of spot that would fit seamlessly into Los Angeles's best neighborhoods: think Gold Line in Highland Park or the Vinyl Room at the Hollywood Palladium. Not because they're carbon copies, but because they share that intangible quality of genuine discovery and cultural curiosity. The crowd ( age range 25 - 35 mostly ) was genuinely engaged with one another. People were actually talking, actually present, not hunched over their phones. That alone felt invigorating. There was an undeniable spark in the room. Alfie's wasn't chasing trends; it was simply allowing them to emerge naturally. What impressed me most was how they brought it all together .. Retro stereo equipment and vinyl players from the 50s mixed with a bar area that's super sleek and modern. Conversations, music, the lounge itself .... all came together in a way that felt alive and IN THE MOMENT. When my LA friends visit, Alfie's is on the list.
