    Birria Fries
    Alexis H.

Saw great reviews for this place and decided to try it out. Loved the theming and decor upon walking in. We were immediately seated and given ample time to review the extensive menu. There's a bit of something for everyone, including a chef's special menu. We ordered the Birria Fries, which were a bit of a miss to be honest. The meat was delicious, but the fries were undercooked and something about the chipotle sauce on top didn't seem to mesh well with the flavors. I also ordered the combo platter, selecting the steak burrito, shredded chicken enchilada, and a beef taco. The food was okay, but left a bit more to be desired. Overall, this is a great spot to stop in and try and the service was exceptional.

Side of refried beans and chimichanga lunch platter. Look at that chimi! It's bundled up like a gastro prize and it was!

I am so sorry I have just driven by this place for a couple years. I took a friend to lunch today and it was fabulous! The food was fresh and super flavorful and the presentation of the lowly chimichanga was inspired. It's 8pm and I'm still stuffed from noon. The prices are fair and the house margarita with a literal optional salt lick was stupendous. I never get 2. I had 2. Don't wait. Just go.

I love Anejo! I have tried a few different items, their rice bowl is my favorite. They are also great with substitutions with any of their meals- I like to swap the black beans for refried. I enjoy their classic margaritas and queso dip as well. The service is always great and they have a welcoming family friendly atmosphere.

This restaurant looks beautiful, however, we were unable to experience the food. When we first walked in, we noticed there's a 4% charge on all credit and debit cards,so if you would like to avoid that, make sure you bring enough cash. We were seated and no one came to serve us after about ten minutes of waiting. Another larger party was seated after us got served quite quickly. We also looked around and noticed that many people had not yet received any food. We made a decision to leave and go to a different restaurant where we were immediately seated, served and provided with excellent service. I can't really talk about the quality of food, but I wanted to comment on the poor service and extra fee in case anyone else wanted to know. I did give 2 stars due to the beautiful decor and how yummy the chips and salsa looked. If only we were able to try them...

We love Anejos! We've been regulars for a couple of years, all of their food and margaritas are delicious!

I ordered medium rare for the ribeye, but it came out medium well and underseasoned. The steak was pretty thin, so perhaps thatnmadenit difficult to be cooked medium rare. The ceviche was good and well marinated. Everyone else at my table enjoyed their food.

Really enjoyed this place. Hit right about happy hour time. Very busy and very loud. Our server was great. Very attentive. We asked for the kids meal to come out first while we looked over the menu and she made that happen. Chips and salsa are fresh. Salsa is not spicy at all. They do have a habanero sauce that is delicious if you like spicy! Highly recommend.

Street nachos look great, but are salty and meats over marinated.

The service was great and the menu is huge. The food? It's okay, but we both said we wouldn't be back. The food is ok, but that's about it. Walking in at lunch today we were greeted with an in your face sewer smell. They said it was fixed and airing out, but it was still very offensive. The spicy guacamole sounds and looks amazing!! Eating it though, very challenging. Completely over engineered for looks and not consumption. My street tacos were ok. The meat was way over marinated and mushy - which is different than tender, lol.

The food here is good. We used to be regulars but stopped coming because service is VERY slow. Unfortunately this was our last time because dinner service took over 2 hours for an app, two entrees and two margaritas. I'd recommend for take out but I wouldn't recommend this place if you're in a hurry for dine in.

I always love coming to this little spot. The food is always super flavorful. Two rounds of complementary chips and salsa. If you can taste the homemade effort into every dish. Drinks are a little pricey and they don't do any specials. But you do get what you pay for so that's the upside. Margaritas are delicious and always poured correctly. The location on itself is super fun and vibrant. Come check the out

Great food, service and staff. This is the first time we've tried the fried cheese tacos and although hard to eat with your hands. We did fine using a knife and fork. The flavors were so good--especially the blistered jalapeños. Our friends got the Anejo Burrito and sharing it they still couldn't finish it. Well worth the price.

I recently met a family member here for dinner on a Wednesday evening. They arrived before me and was seated right away as the place wasn't very busy. Our server came over right away and provided menus, water, chips and salsa. By the third time they came to the table, we were ready to order. I decided to go with the shrimp fajita with all of the fixings except the tortillas. My family member ordered the quesadilla. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time and the orders were correct. I enjoyed the shrimp fajita, it was seasoned well. I didn't hear any complaints on the quesadilla. Our server checked on us a couple of times, which was cool. The vibe was more bar-like in terms of the level of sound. There were several tables and booths full of people but enough room for us to be spread out from each other. There 2 tables celebrating a birthday so that added some cheer to the atmosphere. Overall, I'd say it was good and I would come here again, at least for the fajitas.

    Rebecca C.

The number one thing I was impressed by at this restaurant was speed. The speed our server came to check on us and also how quick our food came out. I always get worried by the quality of food based on how fast it comes out, but I was happily surprised the food tasted great. The queso dip was flavorful and smooth. The enchiladas were so tasty and the corn tortillas held up against the sauces. The restaurant layout is a bit tight but they do have a second layer back room. I went on a Friday evening and it was quite popping.

In the evening it is a bit dark and I prefer a litle more light when eating. We started with the lions mane mushrooms and the lobster flatbread. The mushrooms were nice and hot while a little sweet. The lobster flatbread was crispy and tasty but a little cold. For drinks and cocktails they have a nice interesting list of selections. We had an espresso martini, a drink called positive affect and very interesting cloudstar. The drinks were beautiful and delicious. The descriptions on the menu are very inviting. Positive affect included vodka, cumber, basil, and citrus that was refreshing and a beautiful green color. The cloudstar sounds like it would be really sweet but it was not and was a very good drink. This had a lot going on but mixed together well which included vanilla, banana liqueur, proseco, and you pour passion fruit juice over cotton candy. Dylan our server was very attentive and kind. Entrees were a burger with these huge crispy fries, roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and I think they forgot to add the spinach. We also had the rack of lamb that was flavorful, tender and plated well. The meal presentations were very good. Some of our food could have been served a little hotter. Moving onto desserts we had the butterscotch creme brulee and the chocolate decadence that was like a torte with a very good berry sauce. Both desserts were very good! It was a good evening. I could not finish the rake of lamb so bonus I have lunch for tomorrow.

The ambiance and feel of the bar is very "sultry" and "intimate." The mood lighting, dark paneling/interiors paired with the bar itself being lit to be the center of attention, lends itself to the secretiveness and LURE that a modernized speakeasy would provide. I truly enjoy stepping foot into this little hidden, but NOT so hidden, gem (which can be accessed from the interior to Talay). Service can be slow at times - especially when they are busy. However, the staff is usually always gracious, helpful, and willing to serve. The few great mixologists I've met there have also been very willing to break down how they make their drinks and really give us a glimpse into their world. So, I'm appreciative of that. That is not something that you can always expect at bars. As for the drinks (and food I'll glaze over), I am usually not left disappointed. I appreciate that seasonally they play with their drink menu and introduce new cocktails. I also love a handful of their signature drinks on the menu. This may be the only bar I've had a drink with Aperol in it that I actually ENJOYED (and not tolerated). The pricing can get high depending on what you order, but for the area and the going rate of a night out, they hold their own. Definitely don't pop into Noir if you are looking for an AFFORDABLE cocktail experience because the tab will creep up on you. The food is OKAY. They share a kitchen with Talay and offer some items not on the Talay menu - which is nice. However, I rarely eat when I visit, so the few times I have, it's been okay. Nothing to truly brag home about. I am happy, though, that they did start offering food because in the very beginning (when they first opened), that was not an option. Anyways, Noir Bar is GREAT (to me)! I will keep coming here and recommending it to others. It's also great for a date night or night out with your friends. It's in a decent location - but please take heed of parking in this area, as it can be challenging to find FREE street parking. However, there is parking available all around and in various garages nearby.

It's the kind of spot that would fit seamlessly into Los Angeles's best neighborhoods: think Gold Line in Highland Park or the Vinyl Room at the Hollywood Palladium. Not because they're carbon copies, but because they share that intangible quality of genuine discovery and cultural curiosity. The crowd ( age range 25 - 35 mostly ) was genuinely engaged with one another. People were actually talking, actually present, not hunched over their phones. That alone felt invigorating. There was an undeniable spark in the room. Alfie's wasn't chasing trends; it was simply allowing them to emerge naturally. What impressed me most was how they brought it all together .. Retro stereo equipment and vinyl players from the 50s mixed with a bar area that's super sleek and modern.
