Great food, service and staff. This is the first time we've tried the fried cheese tacos and although hard to eat with your hands. We did fine using a knife and fork. I recently met a family member here for dinner on a Wednesday evening. They arrived before me and was seated right away as the place wasn't very busy. Our server came over right away and provided menus, water, chips and salsa. By the third time they came to the table, we were ready to order. I decided to go with the shrimp fajita with all of the fixings except the tortillas. My family member ordered the quesadilla. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time and the orders were correct. I enjoyed the shrimp fajita, it was seasoned well. I didn't hear any complaints on the quesadilla. Our server checked on us a couple of times, which was cool. The vibe was more bar-like in terms of the level of sound. There were several tables and booths full of people but enough room for us to be spread out from each other. There 2 tables celebrating a birthday so that added some cheer to the atmosphere. Everything is measured so the drinks come out the same every time. No worries on a crappy pour. They give a fair pour to price ratio. I did add a shot to make a drink a little more like home. We sat at the bar and our bartender never rushed us. She gave us all the time we needed but was attentive to anything we asked about or requested. Especially love the water glasses they provide at the bar. Noticed tables get plastic cups. Felt like a much nicer experience for us. The chips and salsa are really good. I'm pretty picky on both. In 6 years I've yet to find me a favorite salsa in Florida, I will say this is one of the best ones I've had in this state. Will be back to have more. I have to order the pizza birria next time. I didn't even realize that this restaurant was here because I passed by it usually to go to the store that's right next to it. But it was good, I came here with two friends, and one of my friends decided to go with the lunch special rib eye and absolutely loved it. He was so personable and friendly and had such fun energy. The restaurant was full, but it wasn't loud or crazy. It still felt great for an intimate dinner. The dinner did NOT disappoint! We started with the guacamole and the house margaritas. The guac was so flavorful I had to keep myself from finishing the entire dish. The margaritas were well balanced and so yummy. I stopped by for lunch after watching a movie across the street. Parking lot was pretty full but found a spot. I sat at the bar and was promptly greeted and given a basket of chips and salsa which were fresh and delicious. I tried the goat cheese stuffed jalapenos which I really enjoyed. Two of the peppers were mild but the third was very spicy! I also tried the Mexican pizza with ground beef which was really delicious and very flavorful. I went with my friends on a Thursday evening. They didn't take reservations, but we were still seated immediately in a booth. I didn't want alcohol, so I chose a pineapple aqua fresca (about 4 dollars) instead. It tasted like pineapple juice and could have been cooler, but it was still refreshing and had a sweet pineapple flavor. We ordered guacamole, and we all enjoyed it with the complimentary chips and salsa. Even though it had jalapenos in the guac, we didn't feel any heat. For dinner, I ordered the chicken and spinach enchiladas (15.5 dollars). It had three enchiladas and double rice (that I requested instead of beans). The enchiladas were filled with an ample amount of shredded chicken and spinach. While the sauce was flavorful, there could have been more as the tortilla was a bit chewy instead of soft. I wished there was more heat, but the spicy sauce I requested on the side helped a bit. The rice tasted alright, but I got too full to eat the second half of it. The service was quick and helpful. Our food came pretty fast, which surprised me. I think they must have precooked some ingredients, which might have been the reason for the chewy tortillas. Our server was polite, but not overly friendly. The dining area was casual with a bar on the side. Outdoor seating would have been nice with the fountains, but it was a bit too hot. So we sat indoors instead. Since there wasn't much of a crowd, we were able to hear the salsa music playing. I originally thought Anejo Cocina was owned by Agave Azul as it had a similar atmosphere and menu like them, but was told they were not. It was in a complex that has other restaurants and hotels. There were plenty of parking spaces, but it can fill out quickly, especially during weekends. I think 2 other restaurants existed before Anejo took over, but I am happy to see Anejo is doing decent so far. While I would prefer Agave Azul, which is only a couple miles from Anejo, I think business people staying in the nearby hotels would enjoy Anejo for decent Mexican food. read more

I have been a loyal customer since you've opened. I recommend Anejo to everyone and have had many office Christmas parties here. However, after our dinner there tonight I will never step foot in there again. I ordered a burrito- took two bites out of it and it was ice cold. This is the very first time I have ever sent food back. When they brought my new hot burrito out, the rest of my party had already finished their food and the manager who brought me my burrito explained to me that sometimes food is cool inside. I told her this wasn't cool it was ice cold!! She offered no compensation until my friend asked for something since everyone else was done with their meal by the time my food came out. She gave us $1.55 off my burrito- a10% discount! Not even an I'm sorry! Someone needs to train her on how to keep customers. Instead of recommending Anejo I will be telling everyone about my experience and how horrible the manager there is. She couldn't care less if she has happy customers. I found this restaurant on TikTok looking for good tacos in Orlando. It's slightly hidden, but In a popular area, just not visible from the road. The parking lot is busy with Ale House next door, a hotel, and 2 apartment complexes surrounding the parking lot. The inside of the restaurant is cute and aesthetically pleasing. Walking back to the bathroom there were a lot of cleaning towels, supplies, and floor signs sitting out that made the area walking to the bathroom look disorganized and sloppy. The bathroom door wouldn't lock and the door knob was hanging slightly out. The bathroom sinks had soap dispensers that didn't work and it took a minute to find the other soap. We sat outside which was beautiful. It was a nice night out and they had several water fountains in the courtyard area. Our drinks were red sangria & a margarita which were good. The food we got a black bean soup which was good. The black bean & cheese quesadilla was good. The Carnitas was amazing! The pork was tender and fell apart so easily! The carnitas meal was huge! We were slightly disappointed to notice on the menu that they will start charging for chips & salsa after your second refill. The only employee that made our experience last 5 de Mayo 2026 was the young Hispanic bartender. He was the only one that understood the term "hospitality". The drinks he made were great, but tried to accommodate my friend & I in the bar area, & the rest of the staff had a problem & attitude about it. Onice we were seated our server was Luis. He was absolutely awful. He took our order for a table of 12. Did not come back once to check if we needed something at the table. We had 4 kids in our group. Their food came last & we had to reach out to one of them to request for their food to be brought out. He brought out the tickets. Asked some of us if we'd had ordered more besides the order he took originally. He left some of us seating at the table waiting to pay for more than half an hr.. One of us requested for a manager & the manager never had the courtesy to come to the table. It was an awful overall experience. Located near the intersection of 17/92 and Lee Road, Anejo Cocina is located in a strip of other businesses (mostly other restaurants). They offer outdoor and indoor seating with Mexican decor with a modern twist. All of the employees were very friendly and our sever gave my husband a great recommendation for his entree (the carne asada). My husband marveled at the presentation and enjoyed everything on his plate.. er...cutting board. My entree was the arroz con pollo and I loved the Anejo Cocina version of this dish because it included queso - very savory and filling. Prior to our entrees, we ordered the fresh guacamole and it was delicious. We saved some to eat with our entrees and were pleasantly surprised at how quickly all of the food arrived to our table. We had a perfect Saturday family lunch outing Everything you can think of went perfectly. We arrived around 1pm and our party of 11 was seated quickly. Lots of seating in the dining area, drinks were served our orders were taken food came out quick too. It was so fresh and tasty! Guac was fresh and so was the salsa , it all tastes homemade Our entire table was all smiles and we couldn't stop talking about it on the way home. Our server Tony was amazing as well! So attentive and was so on point with everything. The menu selections were great , I could pick something with my eyes closed and be happy with whatever I chose lol Food was so flavorful and my Anejo burrito was huge!
