Came here for custom blinds (cut to measure and installed for us) and Ibra was so helpful at initial consultation and at the final materials order. This was a more cost effective option than three other vendor options we had quotes from, and after installation, I can say I'm happy with the look and feel of the materials. I will say to be patient as start to end this takes some time, but was more or less in line with the lead time quoted from other vendors as well. Here's how the process worked: 1. Initial in person consultation. I learned that working with Ibra in person (or even by phone to the local dept) provided a different experience than just submitting a form or initiating the process with Home Depot online generically. The latter routes you to subcontractors and the materials offering and pricing can be different. I had some of my own quick and dirty measurements, talked through what I was looking for and goals, and he helped make recommendations and provided an estimate based on that. 2. Happy with the estimate, we proceeded to schedule the professional measure. This was with a subcontractor, and was scheduled within a few days. Someone came out to our house and officially measured all the windows. These were provided to me and submitted to Home Depot. This cost $50 but was a credit to the final purchase. 3. Then went back and worked with Ibra to confirm materials choice and final pricing. We placed the order for the materials. Option to get the blinds delivered direct to home or to the store for pickup. 4. Once the blinds are delivered, I was reached out to again for professional install. 5. Installation completed and we are very happy with the results. Pricing for the install component was very reasonable.

You don't need to actually own a tractor to shop at Tractor Supply. (Maybe a tractor might be a good idea after all.) Tractor Supply is fancier than the other, locally owned feed stores. They have a lot of the stuff a feed store has, including cow ear tags and horse vaccines, but they also have what I think of as the "tourist" section, with miniature farm animal and tractor toys. They have Carthart work boots & clothing (I got a nice pair of coverall pants here) along with Ararat shoes & boots and other country inspired footwear, pants & shirts for men & women. I won't buy pet food here--not high enough quality for me. Also, don't let your dog eat anything off the floor. There are occasional spills in the pet food section. I have bought cat and dog collars and leashes, certain treats (read the label if you don't want stuff from China) and a few dog toys over the years. They used to have some 1" wide 6' long leather leashes, but I haven't seen them there these days, so I ended up purchasing a nylon leash, which is not as abrasive on the hands, but my dog doesn't pull on her leash. Leather is better when you have a puppy or a dog that still pulls on the leash. One of my best purchases: a pink, rubbery horse brush (out of the horse supply section) with tiny rubber bristles. It fits over your entire hand, like a mitten. I use it on my cats. It's the giant tongue that licks them all over their body. They love it, and it reduces furballs. They have a very basic selection of veggie and flower seeds in the spring. The bagged onion sets, asparagus roots, rhubarb, etc. are a good value, *IF* you can buy them before the dry heat of the store causes them to sprout, dry out and rot. (Sniff the onion sets before you buy. Don't buy them if they smell like "Ew!") They have pet adoption days once in a while. (Dogs and cats, access to low-cost spay and neuter, etc.) Oh, and the baby chicks and ducks! You could start your own little egg farm. The book and magazine section is very nice. The topics include: homesteading, raising animals, horse riding, do-it-yourself, and traditional arts & crafts. Worth having a look now and then for crafty ideas. They have tractor and lawnmower parts, chainsaws, riding mowers and snow blowers. Most of the parts are made in China, but who makes these in the USA any more? They have a decent hardware fittings section. Between Tractor Supply and ACO hardware, you can usually find what you need in Saline ... otherwise head to Stadium Hardware in Ann Arbor, which seems to have every doodad known to humanity. They let us bring our dog in there, and she gets a treat at the checkout register. She loves the place even more than I do.
