There are some projects that are larger, which require professionals. But dammit, some things I should be able to do myself, even if I lack the knowledge or the tools. But going to the big box home stores fills me with a sense of dread. They are overwhelmingly large, it's hard to find anyone who can help you, and the whole experience leaves me drained, dizzy, and nauseated. So I had what I considered a fairly clever idea. Why don't I just call the small, local, neighborhood hardware store, and see if they can help me solve my minor home repair and maintenance challenges? I'll confess that I called another store first before reaching out to Jack's. But it was at Jack's where I found the help, patience, and expertise that I so desperately needed! Project number one was removing the gunk from between brick pavers on my patio, filling them with silicone sand, and other spring yard maintenance. I had no tools beyond the phone in my hand. But Dan, on the other end of the line, walked me through the tools and equipment I would need. He told me the prices, took my order and payment over the phone, and had everything ready for a semi-contactless pick up! That went so well, I returned for project number two, replacing the window well covers that had cracked. Now I am the proud owner of my very first ratchet set! At least, I think that's what it was called. I thought I was going to need some power tool to do the job, and was prepared to drop a lot of money, but I walked out with a bill of about $30... and a Twinkie. Don't judge. It was for my daughter. Needless to say, I have no intention of ever setting foot again in one of those big box home stores. I have Jack's, and it's fantastic!

Came here for custom blinds (cut to measure and installed for us) and Ibra was so helpful at initial consultation and at the final materials order. This was a more cost effective option than three other vendor options we had quotes from, and after installation, I can say I'm happy with the look and feel of the materials. I will say to be patient as start to end this takes some time, but was more or less in line with the lead time quoted from other vendors as well. Here's how the process worked: 1. Initial in person consultation. I learned that working with Ibra in person (or even by phone to the local dept) provided a different experience than just submitting a form or initiating the process with Home Depot online generically. The latter routes you to subcontractors and the materials offering and pricing can be different. I had some of my own quick and dirty measurements, talked through what I was looking for and goals, and he helped make recommendations and provided an estimate based on that. 2. Happy with the estimate, we proceeded to schedule the professional measure. This was with a subcontractor, and was scheduled within a few days. Someone came out to our house and officially measured all the windows. These were provided to me and submitted to Home Depot. This cost $50 but was a credit to the final purchase. 3. Then went back and worked with Ibra to confirm materials choice and final pricing. We placed the order for the materials. Option to get the blinds delivered direct to home or to the store for pickup. 4. Once the blinds are delivered, I was reached out to again for professional install. 5. Installation completed and we are very happy with the results. Pricing for the install component was very reasonable.

I went to this location on 6/26/2020 to purchase a few items for an upcoming family outing. Upon my…read moreentry I noticed a sign that said it required masks for entry. I immediately noticed two grown men at the check out with out any form of face coverings. I asked the cashier (who was wearing a mask) if masks were indeed mandatory to enter this store. She replied, yes. I acknowledged the two grown men as not having masks and said I would come back inside once they left the store. The grown men both snickered and made a comment that they had 'touched everything in the store'. Holding back any comment that I know they were hoping I'd make, I went to my car and patiently waited. During this period, all patrons that entered had the mandatory face masks on. Once these two in question exited, I noted three others in check out without masks. Two men and what appeared to be a husband and wife. Once they all left, I entered the store. As I shopped, I noted all other shoppers and employees were following the law. During my check out another grown man entered store without mask! To my disappointment, not a single employee called this person out or indicated that a mask was mandatory. This person proceeded to stand in line behind me! He was treated like others who were following the rules and checked out after me. I am writing this review to express my disappointment that Harbor Freight must enforce their mask policy. I will not shop here again until they and other establishments do this. Yelp must add this as a filter option when people are choosing anywhere to give their business. I would drive an extra hour to any establishment that I knew was enforcing this statewide policy. IGNORANCE IS NOT AN EXCUSE and should not be tolerated. No exceptions!
