The Yelp "closed" notice is FALSE. This business is open and, like all small businesses especially in this time, welcomes your patronage. See the photo of store hours (photo taken 4/28/20).

    Ti plant

Was out on a drive one day and wanted to stop in and look around. From the outside, it's hard to miss right off of Pearl Street in north Tacoma. It's a fair-sized nursery with a good selection of outdoor foliage and fruit trees in front. Inside, there's a little greenhouse-type structure with tons of houseplants. It was in here, I found a Ti plant for less than $8 which was a great deal! While the shop itself was nice, we found that the owner did not seem to have a friendly demeanor.

Really cool to explore on a sunny day. Artistic arrangement of pretty, wild plants. And interesting/funny garden ornaments and statues.

I googled bamboo and found out there's more to know about bamboo than I imagined. Once we figured…read moreout a general direction to go, we contacted all of the local bambo outfits including one in Portland. After gathering way too much info and comparing, we called Cascade Gardens. George Gearhart was easy to talk to, answered a miriad of questions, then gave us a great deal on two 15 gallon Fargesia Robustas that were already 10-12' tall. There may be bigger outfits in the area but no one knew as much or had as beautiful bamboo specimins as George at Cascade. As the real estate broker, SeattleViewHomes.com I collect A+ vendors, subcontractors, tradesmen and techs. George is the latest top of the list of vendor I will refer my clients to.

I have some bamboo that is out of control and needs immediate removal and George took the time to…read moreexplain to me the various processes and gave me great advice on how best to move forward...I was so overwhelmed w/my bamboo jumping to a neighbor's yard, etc., and George reassured me on the best way to proceed. I am so grateful to have gotten good advice from a knowledgeable resource. George even suggested methods which didn't involve Cascade Gardens' services until later in the process, which was refreshing...I was getting good advice instead of just marketing. Thanks George! I will absolutely use Cascade Gardens and recommend them to anyone looking to remove their bamboo!
