Junie Moon has the modern Country Cafe thing DOWN! Huge Portions at very reasonable prices, with great down-home service in a cute medium sized location. We dined there on Saturday, March 7, 2015, and we were very happy we did. We were in town at a band competition, and I had been hearing about Junie Moon for some time. We invited some other folks to go as well, which they did later on that night, and they were very happy as well. I had a great Cheddar BBQ Burger (on some great upscale roll), my wife had a French Dip, and my Daughter the Buffalo Wrap (which also provided lunch the next day for her with what was left!) We also enjoyed some very good Fried Pickles. All the servers were experienced and dedicated, working very hard with the unexpected amount of business the band competition brought. I felt for the owner, as the credit card machine went down, but he was a trooper dealing with what folks could do and letting folks send him checks if they did not have cash to cover. AMAZING! Went to Longmeadow Rescue Ranch and headed to Junie's after. Had the French onion soup and it was the best I've ever had! My mom had the pulled pork sandwich and loved it. Staff and service was very quick and kind. Oh! And try the chocolate Carmel crunch cake! read more

I've been there 4 or 5 times. I get the Roast Beef sandwich every time. I feel I can't go there and not get it. I don't get to Union but once a month so if we go there I actually crave the roast beef as we drive up HWY 50. The beef is SO tender it's like it was cooked for days.. the bread is delicious.. homemade chips nice and crisp. Can't wait to go again.. maybe one day I'll try something else. read more

I love to eat here. Good home cooked food. Soup, salads, sandwiches, and entrees all at a great price with a comfortable atmosphere. My favorites the bread pudding. Serves breakfast, lunch, dinner. I've never had anything here I didn't like. Kid friendly. read more

Just found our new favorite breakfast place. Perfect atmosphere, excellent service and absolutely delicious food. Warning: do not order the pancakes as an add-on because they are ginormous and you will hurt yourself trying to finish them. The Junior pancake stack (3) is the size of a round birthday cake (read: HUGE) and should be enjoyed in and of themselves. read more

Normally we love it, must be an off-day. Service was okay, tomatoes were old, french onion soup had very little liquid in it - it was like onion bread pudding. Chicken is always good. Try again next time. read more

Stopped for breakfast, had the country fried steak and eggs. It was very good. Had to pay extra for the breakfast gravy but it was good.

Junie Moons is my favorite cafe in town. I eat here a lot and the food is always great along with the serves.

This restaurant is definitely worth getting off Interstate 44 for. The food was very good, the service fast and the waitress pleasant and attentive. Most deserts are homemade and we enjoyed every bite. They offer half portions of salads leaving room for peach cobbler. read more

Wow, I am easy on the reviews so maybe I should give them two stars but maybe I will change it by the end of this review. Everything was as expected for a small family run business in Union. The decor was simple but we ordered the chicken salad sandwich and the chicken version of Philly cheese steak. The chicken salad is very mushier and not in chucks. (wonder if it came out of big plastic container from a supplier It was very bland and the roll was a white uncooked over-sized roll. We couldn't even eat it. By the way the Coleslaw was again very chopped up and mushie with not enough lettuce and to much mayo. (most likely came out of one of those big plastic containers. I had the chicken Philly. It came with home made chips and honey mustard sauce. The chicken was good but very bland and the cheese was OK with hardly any fixings in it like a typical cheese steak (chicken). Of course it was the same oversize white uncooked roll and the home made chips were tough and not very good. I guess they overcooked them and warmed them up. I think I will go to different place next time. Maybe it is a breakfast place or the fried foods next to me seem to look better. read more

Mediocre at best. The food is not consistent with their menu. I ordered a Tip Top salad which the menu states is on mixed greens. My salad came with all the toppings thrown on top of iceberg lettuce and the apples in it were brown. read more

Unfortunately, my husband and I did not receive the quality of food that other reviewers have written about. I had a pepperpot soup and a turkey club sandwich. The soup was completely tasteless. For the sandwich, I asked for whole wheat bread but received white bread. It was just a regular club sandwich I could have gotten anywhere--nothing special. My husband got the Big Moon Burger, which was very undercooked. He also had to get their "homemade chips" because for some reason, fries are not available until after 4:00 p.m. Those chips were greasy and over-fried. Definitely not something either of us would order again. read more

Just the sort of casual place we were looking for. Great service, big menu, good specials with 3 kinds of soup. I had the special salad, lots of fruit and asiago cheese, delightful, with a cup of mushroom and Brie soup. My husband with the BLT (7 strips) however his pepper pot soup was bland. Glad we stopped not sure I would rush back, could use new vinyl tablecloths, fresher lettuce. read more

I decided to try this place out with a group of friends. Molly, our waitress, needs to smile more! She looked miserable and was not personable in the least. The atmosphere was depressing. No one seemed happy to be working there. I asked for the new Philly burger, medium well. It was pink in the middle and tasted like the oil it was cooked in wasn't hot enough! (Greasy!) Steak fries had a sweet flavor and were ask too crazy. Didn't finish my meal and walked out without leaving a tip. read more
