I asked what the charge would be for them to come out .I was…read morequoted 159.00 I said OK. when the technician came out he said the problem wasn't the Machine but the drain and I should call a plumber which was fine. Time to paid the bill and he quoted me over 200.00. I told the technician that I was quoted 159.00. He said because it was a front loader it was 189.00 plus tax. I feel that I was taken advantage of because I am a women and a senior citizen. I will never call or do business with Marc's appliances again. I don't like being cheated.

    My experience was classic bait and switch. Ordered a 48" range online at an excellent (but not…read moreunique) price, website claimed it was in stock and that I would need to pick it up at their West Hartford warehouse. Got a confirmation E-mail stating order would be "processed once payment was confirmed" (odd, since CC payments are generally automated these days). Next day, I got what appeared to be an automated E-mail (no name or phone number, DoNotReply sender) stating that their "policy" was that I would need to come to their store in person to confirm identity & credit card, and that the item was a special order (not in stock after all, I guess!). Since it's a 4-hour drive each way, going there twice defeats the purpose of an online order... When I called to try to clear things up, "Jack" told me the item was not in stock and that there appeared to be a pricing error (more alarm bells start up in my head). After consulting with his manager, he did call me back, to tell me that the part number is not on the Kitchenaid site, so they can't even order it, and they don't have it in stock. I just went back on their site, and they still list that exact part number listed (KFID948SJP), but at a much, much higher price, of course. When I expressed my displeasure and asked to speak to a manger, it went to voice mail. The only excuse offered was "the website is pretty automated". I get that mistakes happen, but reputable stores make some effort to make it right with the customer. A retail store is responsible for their advertised pricing.

I am not happy with their inability to accommodate my appointment twice with no true explanation. So moved to 3 stars. UPDATE TO MY 5 STAR REVIEW FROM LAST YEAR. Currently have no refrigerator beginning this past Saturday (today is Monday). Although PC Richards reached out to this place on Saturday, I heard nothing from them regarding my supposed appointment today 5/18/26. I only finally got them to respond after I texted them this morning. Then they claimed they could not find the order from PC Richards, then said oh we received it yesterday (Sunday). OK, but then why did I not hear from you this morning (Monday) and why did you say you couldn't find the order from PC Richards. I only knew to contact them because they were the ones who came last September (also on a Monday). Not sure why this place is being used when they lie and it appears they are not a "local" brick and mortar at all. Call center outsourced I believe (I spoke to MJ), and they appear to be just pushing out calls to ONE tech in this area!!!! and ONE in Massachusetts. Not happy. Now, because of an unfortunate set of circumstances (health, etc.), lost all contents of fridge, we are seniors etc., this is really horrible. Appointment now is for tomorrow. Since I work part time, I had to go into office today (my usual day off) to make up for whatever is going to happen tomorrow. I may need a new fridge and that would have been better to know today. BTW, the sales person at the actual PC Richards store in Newington was extremely helpful and seemed to care, also Mark at the customer service dept at PC Richards was helpful. RANT over. DO BETTER EVERYONE.

    This was the appliance repair linked to Maytag for a top-loaded washer repair while under limited…read morewarranty. The first time they came out the panel was malfunctioning so they reset it. The second time they came out the panel was malfunctioning so they replaced it. The fourth time they came out the unit was just leaking water while not powered on or running, and this only occurred after they replaced the control panel. The technician spent 10 minutes at my house before concluding it was "the sink overflowing" despite all of the evidence I provided indicating it very much was not the sink. They charged me a service fee of $137 and left. Now I am left with water continuously pooling in my basement from a washer that didn't do this until Advantage Appliance Repair touched the unit. They did more harm than good. Stay far away from this business.

We saw the good reviews on google and decided to give them a try. We were met in the Glastonbury store by Anthony. He was very helpful and we opted to have Joshua (owner) come to our house for an evaluation. Joshua arrived on time and provided great customer service. He explained our options in a way that we understood. We selected the replacement option. Joshua brought the unit same day and installed it, since had it in his inventory. Our old unit had been discontinued. He provided Cental Vac training 101 to us, so we knew how to change filters and attach the hoses. He was very patient and friendly. Excellent customer service. He will be our go to if needed in the future and recommend him.
