Dishwasher not draining. Doug came next day, found apiece of glass in the drain pump impeller. Removed it and gave me the option of trying a quick fix, or new replacement. He suggested the quick fix. I've used him three times now for a broken washer, dryer and ice machine. He's fast, affordable and no-nonsense. For my dryer and ice machine, he researched the broken part on his phone, compared prices to find the cheapest one, and stopped by free of charge to install it. Bad experience. Told I was getting a Whirlpool and received Kenmore, which I did not see until it was installed. I called and was told they thought it was a whirlpool, but were both made by Whirlpool, so it's the same thing. No it's not. Does anyone really believe that? The model I received had the worst ratings of any Kenmore that I could find. Should've just purchased a new one instead of trying to get a deal. They were recommended on our neighborhood web site. They won't switch out unless I pay delivery, which was half the price of machine. Now that's customer service! read more

I called in a panic late afternoon when my fridge stopped working and Doug was at my door the next day around 10 am and made me very grateful. Was the repair work needed completed? Yes. Some things I did not like...lack of professionalism. He showed up at my back door and did not introduce himself until I asked. Wrote out the bill and told me the amount I owed. Did not explain what he did to repair my fridge, why it may have broke, how long the new part may last... I had to ask him to tell me this information. He pulled some papers that were lost behind my fridge and left them on the ground. He also washed his hands in my sink and left the dirty paper towel on my counter... He could have been a little more polite and asked where my trash was and cleaned up after himself. I've never had something at my house serviced and experienced something like this. I gave him 2 stars because I was disappointed with the lack of professionalism/personality. I'm not saying we need to have a coffee chat but I do expect you to keep me informed as your customer and at least introduce yourself. read more

Doug's worked out really well! Our Samsung dryer died on us, and we've had less than stellar experience with Sears so we decided to stay local. First, he answered the first call and would have been able to come out that day, but I was already at work. He setup a time for the next day with a 2 hour window. He showed up on time, and was able to diagnose and fix the problem in under an hour, and charged a very fair price for parts and labor. Couldn't have asked for more! read more

Please pass on using this guy! He was not friendly at all (which I could handle) and has a short fuse and literally "snapped" snapped at me (which is not OK). He said he would be back in 2-3 days. I called 7 days later and he did not even recall who I was. When he finally came back he had a hard time fixing something (that is when he snapped at me). After he left my husband found a bunch of parts that were not used. When he went exploring he found that Doug complete "Gerry Rigged" the dishwasher since he did not see the pile of extra parts. The worst part is that it was an electrically part of the dishwasher and he stuffed insulation up against electrical wires which is a FIRE hazard. When my husband called him to discuss this he took zero responsibility. Try someone else!!!!!! read more

Pleased with service, came out same day that I spoke with him to describe washer problem. (Machine stopped agitating and spinning)Gave me 2 hour window to arrive and came within time frame. Brought parts, reasonable charges. Washer working better than before as clothes are now spinning out more water. Will definitely use again read more
