It's definitely real beef and they actually hand cut their fries!!! Everything was FRESH and SOOOO GOOD!!! I didn't waste nothing!!! The staff were friendly and the service was quick. Not really a long wait after ordering either. Had to go back today before we headed back to Va. Again, I left no crumbs lol. I was even given a Banana Pudding on the house, that I'm enjoying on the road. Thank you so very much for the exceptional hospitality!! We will most definitely be back on our next visit to NJ. Stay Blessed.

I won't leave a long review, but I'm gonna share a few thoughts from my frequent visits: The food is fantastic. I honestly prefer Marty's to its closest major chain comparison, Shake Shake. It's all so delicious and picture perfect every time; a feast for the belly and the eyes. Recently, a new competitor showed up in town (Smash and Zingers). I gave them a fair chance, ordering twice and trying different items, but I wasn't very impressed. My latest order with them sealed the deal that I will be going back to Marty's as my main local burger spot. My only gripe is that the fries can be a bit soggier than I like. Was hoping they'd fix that over time, but it's yet to be addressed.

You could tell the gentlemen (especially the one with the british/ish accent), they really enjoyed what they do and the flavors they put into the food. We got to try out some curry, the one is planning to add for a specialty sandwich for the world cup! Ambiance: Very no frills. There are two small tables; but the park is right down the road, so that is the option if you have a party of 3+. There's no AC, so i'd recommend carrying out if it's a hot summer day. Food: We got the moo moo platter. The yak burger was FULL of flavor, it's so different, but so delicious. The gator sausage, was cooked to perfection on a thick bun; and it's not hard to chew! This tends to be an issue with gator, it was awesome. The wild boar taco was delicious with a nice back heat with jalapeños, it's something i would sit and have three of; but the tortilla wasn't really heated through at the bottom so it was falling apart, but was still delicious, i just forked it up!! We will definitely snag more fun foods to try from here, I'm looking forward to the kangaroo, mac and cheese bites, and fried pickles.

In my quest to explore the various cuisine scenes throughout Jersey City and specifically the Heights, I made my way to Fox And Crow. Like Corkscrew Bar, I've had this on my bookmark list since I started visiting my friend a few years ago when she moved out here. I always loved a neighborhood bar (sports in this case) that also served food (and live entertainment, too!) so I could hang out with the local people. Would I have anything to crow about, or would I be as sly as a fox and just sneak on by!? PURCHASE Brunch Spicy Bloody Mary ($8.00): I wasn't a huge bloody mary fan (I was traumatized by V8 tomato juice growing up), but it just sounded good on this particular day. It was a fairly simple straightforward cocktail that lacked the elaborate bells and whistles that could be found on Instagram... and I was fine with that. The spiciness nicely cut some of the tomato juice taste which was a plus, the celery stalk was lip, I wished thee wee oe olives, the lemon wedge seemed to serve no purpose, and I felt there was too much ice. It was decent, but I think I filled my quota for the year. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=YAXNZzbwBxhsZXoH9n98SA [ONION RINGS/STRAWS/STRINGS ALERT - 3.0 of 5.0 STARS] Onion Rings ($7.00): A small basket with eight rings of various sizes, these were hot, darkly browned, crunchy, and had a tendency to crumble when bitten into while the onion ring (not sweet Maui) also broke apart. They were on the oily side, the ketchup helped a bit, and were decent at best. These reminded me of the ones I bought when I played Little League, so a bump for nostalgia. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=ZtV4C6Dp1NmjRMiz0J2fTQ Kane Brewing Co. Head High American IPA Beer 16floz Draft ($8.00): Bright hazy amber color, citrusy hoppy aroma, low body, citrusy hoppy flavor, smooth finish, and citrusy hoppy aftertaste. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=k_Q3KQCdsM349f7aDHU7EA FXC Brunch Burger w/Fries ($16.00): Made with a juice angus beef patty, thick-cut bacon slices, monterey jack cheese and a sunny-side up egg served between a toasted brioche bun, this was a two-handed mess as gooey yolk squirted out and dripped down your lip and chin. The side of crispy dark brown fries were nicely seasoned. I was done after this monstrosity. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=VTHNI0LbZCHveZBwk9FwmQ SERVICE I arrived an hour before their weekend brunch ended. I was quickly greeted by a friendly gentleman behind the bar and was immediately met by a nice woman with menus who allowed me to sit wherever. I easily placed my order as everything arrived perfectly spaced out. My server cleared away any empties, and I never felt rushed to leave once I paid. All was good - thanks! PARKING (Street; N/A this instance) This was an easy flat 20-minute walk from my friend's place. Otherwise, there appeared to be plenty of spots along the main drag of Palisade Ave. and all surrounding roads - 'nu said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A tidy interior layout with plenty of stools lining the long bar, a mix of stools at a center counter bar, a smattering of chairs/tables, and some lodge-like odds and ends displayed throughout. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=E3zSVvIdQqbZ61sTwwMnLA There was also a tiny sideway patio area. Decent natural lighting came through the front windows and doors while eclectic hung electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were a few TVs at the bar while music (and TV volume) played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=GiF86KQbCwXDGx40HMBBxQ ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Fox And Crow was a chilled neighborhood spot and would definitely return! It was laid back with some local beers on tap, happy hour, a tight brunch https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=VTvd9VP9ZsuPb7oX79EruQ menu, tasty food, reasonable prices, daily live entertainment, and the service was wonderful. And, I always loved supporting small businesses whenever possible. I found total value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $42.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... I got the cheese and veggie quesadilla and my fiance got the old blue burger with a side of the foxy fries. I also got the signature cocktail "love my way" which was excellent! Great choice! I didn't get much of the jalapeño in the first bite, and could agree that the jalapeños and its accompanying sauce could be spread out a bit more, but i finally got a bite of the jalapeños towards the center and it was delicious. My bf loves their loaded fries, but i'm content with their bare fries. 7th Street's regular fries have a consistent and familiar crispy to them that i'll always enjoy. i'm not a big burger person, but they've managed to perfect the ultimate greasy burger. the new app was fairly easy to use, and streamlined the ordering process, making it efficient and easy for all. no more awkward blank stares or pauses at the menu when making your order with the cashier haha. it may not be part of their plan, but i would love to see a deluxe option in the near future, consisting of lettuce, tomatoes, and etc.

I ordered about 2 weeks ago, and it was very much "open" then, and I'm…read morenow constantly getting ads popping up on my FB account, indicating it's very much "open for business," so...is the "this location is closed" pronouncement on the Yelp listing really valid? If so, that's too bad for a lot of reasons, one of those reasons being that I really liked what I ordered. A younger co-worker at my job in Hoboken orders take-out food a lot and never gains a pound (oh! how well I remember those long-ago days when I could pack away the food with similar impunity!). This co-worker turned us (namely, me and the rest of those who still remain from the old Lunchbox Mafia crowd at work) on to "Exotic Eats" in Union City, which I think has re-named itself "Better Eats" and has the best mac'n'cheese...with the notable exception of the mac'n'cheese made by my late mother...I've ever eaten. Conversely, this co-worker eats a lot of "fast food" burgers, chicken sandwiches, and burritos. On this particular occasion 2 weeks ago, he was preparing to order, and I asked what he was contemplating. He was contemplating 7th St. burgers, a chain I had never before heard of. Feeling hungry, I checked out the on-line menu. They seem to serve...basically...burgers, cheeseburger, double cheeseburgers, fries, loaded fries, "impossible" burgers, double "impossible" burgers, and soda. Given my never-ending quest to lose weight, I figured I'd give the double "impossible" burger a try. With fries, of course. My co-worker ordered the food for me to be delivered, then decided that he didn't want to order anything. So be it. When the food arrived, I dug in. I'm not necessarily sold on the success of the impossible burger in coming across as an actual beef-and-bun burger, but I have to say--- the 7th St. "impossible" burger was the closest to tasting like an actual cheeseburger that I've yet had (I had ordered it with "the works," so maybe the "works" helped). And the fries were solid and crisp, just like I like them. "Wow," I remarked to my co-worker, "this is really good!" My co-worker glanced down at the remnants of my meal that I had not yet devoured, back up at me, and shrugged. Whatever, old man! The only thing I'm a bit chagrined about is that now I'm getting constant ads for 7th St. on my FB feed, even though I'm pretty sure the food was not ordered under my name. I'm far from being an authority on how AI or bots work, but it is just a little bit disturbing. Sarah Connor, where are you when we need you? Can I expect Arnold Schwarzenegger to pull up outside the next time I order food? Or am I making a mountain out of a very minor molehill? Probably. That quibble aside, though, this was the best "impossible" burger I've had yet, and I'd certainly like to order from 7th St. again if they are in fact still open. I'm hoping this "notice of closure" is a mistake on Yelp's part, but time will tell, I guess. Recommended (if they are still open, that is).

The mozzarella sticks and marinara sauce, excellent! Nicely fried, good cheese pull being it's really loaded. Loved that great crisp and gooey goodness inside. And of course, hot day and I had to try their milkshake. Had vanilla with whipped cream and it was the best milkshake I've had in a very long time. The milkshake can be a meal itself because once it was done, had no room for the rest of my food so I had to wait a bit until I got to enjoy my meal. It wasn't busy when I went so my wait wasn't too long but it does get busy and always best to order ahead being food is prepared when ordered. Few tables inside and outdoor in case you want to dine there. Staff are very nice and helpful and of course, I enjoy the old school music that was playing while I waited. My days of…read morepatronizing McDonald's and Burger King are long behind me (although I did stop at a McDonald's a few years ago after having medical tests done and ordering a bagel/egg concoction and a cup of coffee; I was starving, it hit the spot, and I wrote a reasonably complimentary review of the place, if I remember right). Even 20-plus years ago, when I'd occasionally become nostalgic for a fast-food burger and order one, I invariably regretted it. But I did order from 30 Burgers a few days ago while working in Hoboken, when a co-worker (the new Godfather of Lunch) suggested ordering food and having it delivered. Usually, I would have said no. But I was suffering a migraine that particular day, the medication I take for it was having an adverse effect on me (as it sometimes will; it stops headache pain but makes me feel overall like shite) and I thought food might help settle my nausea and upset stomach. Even the erstwhile Godfather of Lunch joined us in ordering (like me, he's on a diet and it's proving effective), saying, "You people are forcing me to do this," or words to that effect. Nothing like peer pressure! I ordered the Turkey Royal Burger, which sounded simultaneously healthy and decadent. A turkey burger with a fried egg on it (it has been so long since I've indulged in eggs that I think that's what decided me on this), turkey bacon, American cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise. Along with it, I ordered a side of seasoned fries, and what initially started as a medium vanilla milkshake (I try to allow myself ice cream or an ice cream-based product only once a month). The former Godfather said, "You've come this far; you might as well go all the way." I wanted to reply, "You're forcing me to do this," as I agreed and signaled the new Godfather to place an order for the large vanilla milkshake, along with the other stuff I wanted. The food arrived pretty promptly, and the price seemed...at least to someone unused to ordering fast food...relatively reasonable. I can't remember what my co-workers ordered, but I was sorta "meh" about the whole experience. The burger was probably the best part of it. It was a large, sloppy mess, but that was satisfying to the latent glutton that I can never entirely exorcise from my psyche. And I have to say that the turkey bacon actually did taste like bacon. The fries were less satisfying, less tasty. Maybe it would have made a difference if we had actually sat down in the restaurant and ate them while they were still hot, but...despite the promptness of the delivery...they were, at best, semi-warm, and pretty tasteless. There were plenty of them, and I ended up disposing of a goodly portion (I don't like throwing away food, but I wasn't going to take them home, and I figured better they wind up in the garbage can than on my waistline or in my arteries). And the milkshake? Another co-worker ordered a medium sized milkshake and my "large" had perhaps only a half inch more of space involved in it. Which meant it probably wouldn't have made much of a difference if I had ordered a medium or a large. It was sweet, and thoroughly drinkable (if not especially tasty), but I regretted that I had used my monthly allotment of ice cream (or milkshake) for this. Oh well...chalk it up to experience! Final verdict? Not great, not bad. They have a lot of variety when it comes to burgers, and if you're into the "fast food" version, this place might rate high on your list. But, speaking purely for myself, if I do get a hankering for a cheeseburger and fries (and it does happen occasionally), I think I'll just stop at a diner or even a regular restaurant in order to indulge that urge. As far as I'm concerned, 30 Burgers is just ok.
